10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rural setting & donkeys nearby
Cons: Nothing negative
7.5 Good
Pros: The beds were very comfortable. The location itself is very secluded and quiet, the host is nice.
Cons: Some noise from the neighbouring cottages/flats in the house could be heard in the evening which was far from ideal. The front door is transparent and opens into the lounge which is not so convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Totally faultless; we wanted a break from work and living in Belfast and had never seen Derry or Donegal before. Location is superb; deceptively close to main road links to Donegal and Derry for getting to/from the cottage. The isolated yet close location honestly is just great; we were able to relax in the evenings on the patio area, having a drink and even had the company of two great donkeys! the cottage was like a home from home, and I say isolated positively as it is not in the wilderness but offers the serenity of being in the wilderness! Accommodation was nice a cozy; very clean and modern also the seating and sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. Cottage was also very easy to get hot or chilled. Views are very nice, especially in the evenings. I could not recommend this place enough - I am sure many people say this but we will genuinely be back! if you're looking for a better alternative to an air bnb, to travel to an exceptionally beautiful spot in the world, at an extremely good price and have a real nice sense of home, honestly you won't be disappointed! Also can not fault the owner at all; Karen is a lovely person and so accommodating; she ensured to show us how everything worked, provided us with good information about the area, events and places to see! although we didn't require anything whilst we were there, there was the kind offer too of asking if we needed taxis she would happily book them (to make sure we got there and back!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cottage was clean and comfortable. The location was quiet with lovely views. Karen was a good host and made us feel welcome.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place was spotless when we arrived. Karen the owner could not have been any friendlier or more accommodating toward us. She informed us of all the local places to shop, eat and visit and of the upcoming possible traffic disturbances there would he due to parades etc. We were away from all the bustle of the city but within a short taxi journey if we fancied heading in (taxi was around £7). Elagh cottages was a beautiful place to stay and we are already looking into going back and taking the kids with us as it is a family friendly place aswell.
Cons: The only absolutely minor thing that could have been adjusted was perhaps some fans placed in the cottages as the weather was very warm. But understandably this is Ireland and the need for a fan is usually rare.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely view, friendly welcome, very comfortable
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Ever thing was very good, no problems.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally-located historic property that's been beautifully updated without losing its charm, Bishop's Gate might have been the best value among all the Irish hotels we stayed in, from 2 star to 5 star. Special recognition for the staff, who helped park the car, find a tour, access the wifi -- super pleasant and helpful. Our room was lovely with a view of the church and the city walls, very comfortable, quiet and well-appointed. We'd definitely recommend.
Cons: Wifi might've been easier to access from our room without help, but it wasn't a big deal. We got on with help from the staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All was really great especially the staff service.
Cons: The fact I had to leave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything. The location was perfect. Having driven into town, the parking lot was less than a minute walk from the front door, and overnight was only a little over 5 pounds. So incredibly cheap! Bedding was fabulous. Mattess so perfect. Decor beautiful. Rooms spacious. Staff was SO knowledgeable and so very helpful.
Cons: The ONLY thing that would have made this hotel better is if there were mini fridges in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rose Park House is a personally and professionally run B & B. We were welcomed by Thomas from the first moment we arrived and enjoyed every minute of our stay at Derry. He and the other members of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was great- as much or as little as we desired, and the time was flexible. The location was perfect for us- we walked through the scenic park down the hill to the city centre and either walked back or took a taxi for a very reasonable fare in the evening. I would certainly stay at Rose Park when visiting Derry in the future.
Cons: Nothing- really!

Cons: If we had stayed longer the location was possibly a little far out from the CBD but not an issue really.

Pros: Beds very comfortable. Very clean and relaxing environment.
Cons: No complaints.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The single room was cosy with all the amenities at hand. Breakfast was delicious. Location was close to city center.
Cons: The bed and pillow was a little firm. Derry has many hills, and this was at the top of one of them if you’re on foot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff. Treated us like family! Close enough to downtown to be able to walk it, but we drove about half way and walked the rest to avoid having to climb the hill from center town. Breakfasts were very tasty and parking was right next to the place. Would recommend the place highly.
Cons: Nothing that I didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I really liked this place. Lovely people running it. Great value. Excellent breakfast. Quiet pleasant area with big park across the road, and pleasant 20 min walk into city centre. Smallish room but very well designed and I slept the best I'd slept in ages.

7.9 Good
Pros: Fantastic staff, comfortable rooms, great location close to Derry, great grounds to walk around, parking onsite
Cons: Restaurant needs to step it up. Leans more towards bistro fare and not elegant dining.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable beds. Clean room & bathroom. Staff very courteous and kind.
Cons: TV in room didn’t work. It just needed retuned due to a recent upgrade in the area. We asked at reception if this could be done whilst we were out for the day, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Otherwise everything was fantastic
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Oh my goodness! This hotel was so lovely! We had an easy check-in and planned to leave immediately to check out the city; instead the draw of the cozy lounge kept us inside! The Guinness was fab and the fire (even though it was gas) kept us warm. The room was basic but comfortable. What we loved most were the lovely walks surrounding the property and also the photos throughout the hotel that told of its amazing history. I look forward to staying again. Oh and the breakfast was delicious!
7.9 Good
Pros: breakfast/location excellent
Cons: Had to wait for pet room to be allocated although it was pre-booked/bathroom door did not shut/only one door out of three opened on the wardrobe/ground floor windows needed nets as staff entrance was close by/lights on chandelier flickered and on bedside tables did not match/pet 'welcome' pack was received with a note saying that half of it had to be paid for!/laundry room overhead was not reasonable for a £150 per night fee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to an Executive Suite with a Sitting Room, Master Bedroom & extra half bath. Wished we’d had more time to explore the grounds. We left our key in our room & staff had difficult time finding a second key. Bed & Bath were exceptional.
Cons: Restaurant food was not up to our expectations - limited selection. Omelette for breakfast was over cooked & greasy so another family member ordered poached eggs. Dinner prices were reasonable but would have paid more for better quality & variety.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good...location was breathtaking...very tranquil...were upgraded to a Suite which was amazing..loved the whole feel of the Hotel...bed/pillows were extremely comfortable... had a wonderful feel about this whole place. Just awesome. Highly recommend staying at Beech Hill Hotel...will not be disappointed.

Cons: Nothing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful proprietors, comfortable room, good, generous breakfast. Premises overall were very well presented and maintained and scrupulously clean.
Cons: Not easy to reach by public transport (though this in part is because of the lousy bus service in Derry). Some difficulties getting in (instructions sent by e-mail on the day but I don't have a smart phone) but quickly resolved when I phoned the proprietor. You have to go outside to 'view' the cathedral!

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It is very expensive for room, drinks and food.
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel is quite nice and is located close to the city center although the 30 minutes walks might be too long for some people. If you have a car the hotel provides a car park and you can use the train station to get closer to the city. The bedrooms are quite big and nice and the overall hotel status is really good. There is a nice bar lounge in the hotel with piano performances in the evening.
Cons: The breakfast is quite good but we were surprised that they were not replacing the food that was getting finished in a reasonable time. After almost 45 minutes I need to ask to the staff some pastries as they was no one available when we went to the restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so attentive. Especially Finian
9.6 Excellent
Pros: As I got married there a few years earlier the hotel sent a lovely chocolate cake to my room too say welcome back after 3 years, it was a really lovely gesture and my wife was over the moon. Honestly I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Derry
7.5 Good
Pros: Evening meal in restaurant was excellent. Wait staff were friendly but service was exceedingly slow. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Traffic noise was loud even with windows closed. It was extremely loud with windows open. I kept the windows closed which made it very hot as it is late July and there is no air conditioning in rooms. There was a fan, which helped, but the fan rattled loudly. The trash bin in the bathroom wouldn’t open with the foot pedal so I had to pry it open- YUK! The hotel should give their guests courtesy ear plugs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food. Staff were very efficient and polite. Wedding room looked amazing.
Cons: Bed quilts were too heavy for time of year. Too hot when covered up but too cold when cover off. A top sheet or lighter quilt would have been great.

Pros: Breakfast was enjoyable.. excellent selection of hot and cold buffet.. staff were pleasant, attentive and efficient. Pleasant and busy surroundings yet a calm and well managed operation.
Cons: A minor detail but as arrived late in the evening the hotel car park was full and had to park off the premises. This is not a criticism as space is limited and on a first come first served basis. However, for a traveller unfamiliar with the city the Bishop St. car park is poorly lit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful, location is ideal as it's walking distance to everything. Derry is such a fab city. Highly recommend Fitzroys for dinner near the main shopping centre. The hotel was lovely, clean room, no noise, great restaurant onsite. Couldn't ask for better.

Cons: Only 1 sachet of sugar and 3 coffee sachets. I like to be able to settle down with several coffees after work. Minor point.

Pros: The check-in was great and easy (information was provided over Mail), the rooms are very nice (comfortable bed), tidy and super modern (there's a tablet in every room with which you can contact the staff any time) and although located a little out of town you're in the heart of Londonderry within 10 minutes (by car).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nestled beside a row of Estate workers cottages, a couple of hundred yards along a country road off the main A515 Foyle Bridge road but feels as if it’s in remote countryside. Attractive and comfortable facilities. Excellent water pressure and hot water. Pretty courtyard to rear. Off-site breakfast and meal recommendations first class. Very convenient for Derry City. Co Donegal about a mile north. Couldn’t be better.

Pros: We stayed two nights in the Waterfoot Hotel.. All the staff were extremely helpful and professional. Megan checked us in on reception and next day Adam and another girl whose name I didn't get were on duty. All three were very pleasant and obliging. We didn't have breakfast but had an evening meal and it was excellent. Bar,restaurant and housekeeping staff were all very nice too. The room was spacious and spotless. Would stay in this hotel again.
Cons: Just a small criticism about the room. The mirror over the dressing table was a bit high up on the wall. Made it difficult to use when sitting down.

6.3 Good
Pros: Good breakfast with lots of choices. 5-6 minutes walk into town.
Cons: The bathroom was dated with cracked floor tiles and about the size of a broom cupboard. The silicone sealant round the shower looked like it was done by a 5 year old, the shower pole was hanging off the wall. There was no room to put suitcases apart from on the floor where you had to step over them as you walked around. Nowhere to hang clothes and the coat hooks behind the door were hanging off. The breakfast room had no skirting boards in places which spoiled an otherwise nice room. Parking out in the street is random, you may have to park some distance away.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and very accommodating with our requests.
Cons: We were both on the 3rd floor which was difficult with suit cases and our bathrooms were on a different level.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was my first time staying in Serendipity House, I was looking for somewhere affordable as I am studying my masters and need somewhere to stay quite often rather than travelling (and someone who stayed here often whilst studying their masters last year recommended here) Serendipity House exceeded my expectations, from the room and the "lobby" area to the staff, and the breakfast in the morning - Everything was perfect! The cleanliness was second to none, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exceptional! I will be staying here very often in the near future! 10/10!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Had a double room with en-suite. In Brand new section. Nice 10 minute walk to city wall. Friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, newness
Cons: Back patio, I’m sure will be better/bigger in the future.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel standard, single room (which meant I paid less as a solo traveller: an option n.a. in hotels which are all doubles). Beautiful individual style bedlinen & furnishings (luxury, grey, white & glass). Towelling robe for shower room downstairs: on a return so had a window: loved it. Let them know I was coeliac: so they had GF (gluten free) bread and cereal. Loved the hot breakfast and the fresh fruit.
Cons: All good. They let me check in early. It's self check in so you have to pay attention to the emailed instructions: remember to place hand over keypad to "wake it up" (get a lights on response) before putting in the code. Easy!
4.6 Okay
Cons: Room was stinky
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money. Location was perfect and very easily found. Staff were friendly. Room temp was perfect, nothing worse than going to a hotel and not being able to breathe with heat. Loved the decor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the place! Even though we were there for one night and checked in abit later on and left in the morning, the system was really great (self service) . Self service breakfast to die for and all around comfortable atmosphere. Our room was spotlessly clean and would definitely recommend anyone to go here if they were in derry. No messing. No hassle. All around 10/10

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Original location seemed ok
Cons: Was sent to a 3 bedroom apt over 3km away from town with no hot water. the young guy blamed his wife for giving rooms awy to another 2couples without check their id's. the hot water didnt work in the morning and we called him and he said he would come in 15 min. He never showed and never returned the many calls.. We ended up having to heat water in the kitchen in pots and having birdbaths in the bathroom. A chair broke in the kitchen while sitting on it. He did not reduce the price due to inconvenience. He only paid us for 1 going and return taxi fare into town and said that is all he could do and that we would not find another hotel and that we were getting a deal...!?! Horrible experience at the trafalgar ct #2 apt. Never again

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Lots of variety and the lady cooking and serving was very nice and polite.
Cons: We didn't realise on booking that is was a BnB. We were looking for a hotel so were surprised when we arrived. Couldn't easily find the venue. We had to call and get directions once we found a spot to park the car. Man on the phone was not very helpful. We stopped a person in the street to ask them if they knew the venue. Luckily they did and directed us. The heating is set on timer to come on in the morning and so we were a little cold in the room overnight.
