Where do I start...Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday. This hotel is very small, we arrived with heavy bags and there wasn’t a lift, we were staying on the 3rd floor and had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with heavy bags, without any assistance from the staff. Our room was very tiny but somewhat clean, however there were a lot of damages to the room that were frankly unacceptable. The air con didn’t work at all, the blow dryer wire was out and hanging on for dear life, there was a cigar burn in the bed throw, a constant flickering light bulb that clearly needed to be changed, a crooked lamp by the bed. However we decided to just work with what we had. There is no room service so you cannot order anything to your room, there wasn’t even a iron or ironing board in the room so when we called reception they told us we had to come downstairs and collect it. We had gone out to buy food one evening and there wasn’t even a mini fridge or anything to store your food and drinks in so I advise you to eat your food while it’s hot. Although the room is very small for 2 people, the bed is very comfortable I slept well and the TV is freeview so you have quite a lot of channels to work with. The WiFi works very well I didn’t have any problems with it at all and the staff leave you to it, they give you space and privacy and don’t knock on your doors. The staff were pretty okay, but this hotel is barely a “pit stop hotel” I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay more than 2 nights. A free breakfast came with our booking and we expected it to be amazing, all we were greeted with was a buffet of cold food (continental breakfast) without an option for hot food, which is pathetic even places like premier inn offer the option for hot food. The food was so boring and not worth the money, cold croissants, Hams, cheese, cold milk with cereals & teas.
Very noisy people above our room told staff didn’t seem to do anything .very noisy all night and we had our 3 year old with us and was woke up lots of times upset so ruined the trip.
The hotel is quite basic, but it was fully matching my needs. The room was small but clean and the bed very comfortable, very nice shower, and I had a very refreshing sleep. I will be back to this place in the future, as I do have to be in the area for business. Perfect spot. No frills, no luxury, but comfortable and convenience.
There is no elevator, but that's absolutely fine. The walls are quite thin so the room was not really silent, but nothing major that prevented me from sleeping well!
While the W14 is a bit out of Central London for a tourist, it's right on two very convenient Tube lines that made getting into town quick and easy. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the location was quiet, and our room was immaculate.
Best thing was the shower. New and waterfall overhead. Very nice.
Stated needed a room with window (have allergies and can't run AC due to dirty filters) Was given room on first floor but opened door and someone else was already in room. So they gave me room down a flight, next to laundry and only window with 1/2 size looking at AC units, noisy too... No view, noisy units and no fresh air since I couldn't' leave windows open because anyone in courtyard could come in. Room didn't look at all like it did online. Had carpet with allergies don't like and sink stopper didn't stay up. Just little things but for the money I expected more.
