Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was exactly where we needed to be. Beds were comfortable. Price for London in summer was reasonable.
Didn't realize there was no breakfast option available on site. Only problem with this place was that. Had to walk to local shopping area and find breakfast outside, which was inconvenient and needlessly expensive as a result.
Staff in the bar were excellent - exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The welcome drink is a lovely touch.
I had sent a couple of short enquiry emails in advance of my stay - these were never responded to. Wouldn't be ideal for an early night as the noise from the bar carries throughout the building - but by 12.30/1 this has died down.
Bed was comfy, staff were good and room was clean
It was one of the hottest days of the summer so a little warm even with the fan on. A hot water pipe was running through the room which didn't help
There was no breakfast! I was told on arrival that brunch was served at 11.00 am - I went down at 11.00 am and nothing was yet open. I went for brunch elsewhere. The site on which I booked this visit was way out of date and the inn by no means lived up to expectations.
I suspect that the rooms were once smart, but there seems to have been no proper maintenance for a number of years. There was no handle on the bathroom door, the chain on the room door was broken, there was a cigarette burn in the duvet cover and the mug smelt as if it had been 'cleaned' with a polish rag. There was no milk in my room because they had run out. The way in and out when the pub was not open involved leaping across a large puddle created by broken pipework. My room smelt intermittently of drains. The pub caters mostly for the people from an extensive social housing block, and conversation below my window was sometimes crude and very loud.
Nice location close to a lot of places
The room was a little warm even though we had a fan it still made no difference
