Was told I had an upgrade from the double room I booked to a balcony room. It had twin beds and was situated next to a toilet that was constantly being used up to 11pm. So doors banging constantly.
The location was great, very easy access to the District and Circle line which will take you anywhere you want to go in London. 1 block away from lots of restaurant and shopping choices. I enjoyed that I had a private bathroom, even if it was one of the smallest I've ever seen, but that's what I would expect in a place like urban London. Much better than the alternative to sharing a bathroom dormitory style. Breakfast was decent, as expected, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. PLUS, the neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous, one of the most posh areas in the city.
Breakfast wasn't exceptional, but for being included in the price it was a good enough. Yogurt, cereals, breads, cookies, coffee/tea. Again, the bathroom was the smallest I've seen but in my extensive research this was the cheapest place to stay with a private bathroom and breakfast included in downtown London.
The staff there were very nice and cooperative. The manager Dave was very accommodating and hospitable. The location of the hotel was excellent and ideal for people on a budget as a lot of the things are walking distance.
Rooms were a bit small but gives more reason to go out and explore.
The manager was the only bright thing at this hotel, but the premises are what they are
The british receptionist was very rood, with no willing to help. The premises had nothing to do with the photos, breakfast the same. No closet in the room with nowhere to put your luggage. Bit dirty spaces with dirty walls. When we emailed with complaints, the same receptionist responded: "You are most welcome to let booking.com know that the room is small but the only thing they will suggest you to do is book a 4 star hotel which is £400 a night. You can feel free to cancel your booking but it will not be free of charge." No good
the main light didn't work and the tv was broken
