Wind was blowing through windows. Windows wasn't isolated well. Otherwise everything was great.!
The reception staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Checking in was fast and easy. The room was clean and bathroom/shower was good. Bed comfortable. Good number of hangers in a fairly spacious wardrobe. Kettle, tea, coffee and milk in room. Soap dispensers in bathroom all full.
Being on ground floor and not being able to lock the window - no key. Reception staff came to room and ensured me it was secure. However, for peace of mind, I think you should have the ability to lock the window at night, especially if you are travelling on your own. Kettle flex too short to reach any plug in the room - by about 3 inches - meaning I had to put kettle on box of tissues and information folder to be able to boil the kettle...….not safe! Soap dispenser in shower almost impossible to use. I thought breakfast (English breakfast) was over-priced and slightly disappointing though service in restaurant was friendly and quick.
The room was clean
The room was very very small, there was just about to walk down one side of the bed to get in the bed, and when sitting on the toilet you could not close the bathroom door the bathroom was so small
The location near the shopping district was great. Good food
First, it was almost unrecognizable due to the scaffolding outside of the building. The rooms, especially the bathroom is entirely too small
Honestly leaving, this is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at.
Everything! The room was a shoebox that had a smell of mould. There is ongoing construction that kept us awake, and did I mention that while the hotel is advertised as wheelchair accessible it most definitely is not.
