An expensive trip
The reviews on this place are a mixture. I stayed an entire week. With that said, I liked that the hotel was modern. It has lots of relaxing touches, such as, the oversized waterfall shower, and strait modern lines. The room itself was modern with dark wooden furniture, and crisp white linens. I stayed on the 11th floor, and my room was okay.
The hotel was pricey! They put a $50.00 hold per night on your credit card for possible incidentals along with a $30.00 per night resort fee. There are also other hidden fees like "tourist" fees. The transportation does not include hotels, or transportation that isn't Disney related (No shopping, no Universal etc..). It cost $22.00 per day to park your car. The extra costs of this hotel to me was not worth the stay. They staff were friendly, but never went out of their way to help you. The hotel is older, it needs some serious TLC. The numbers of my room had been hot glued back to the wall. I also had a problem with their being balconies, but you are not allowed to open the door to the balcony. I wouldn't stay here again.
Needs (significant) improvement
It was a “Disney Springs” resort, which meant we had access to the parks “Extra Magic Hours.” Bus transportation to parks was quick and convenient (part of $30/day resort fee).
Excpected much more for this price. This was no “resort;” more like a step up from an interstate motel. Walls were thin; rooms noisy. Water in shower was inconsistent... hot one minute, cold the next. In-room refrigerator didn’t work (they did bring a replacement). Hallway walls had mildew growing on them and paint peeling off. The ceiling in the hallways was crumbling and water leaking from roof. Dining was way overpriced. If you have a second option in Orlando, take it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had great service to try and make you feel welcomed and taken care of. It was great they had the extra magic hours and had shuttle service to the park. Would definitely stay here again for my next Disney vacation
I would suggest that they have buses running to the park one and half hours before the park opens.
I liked that I was close to everything, parks, Disney springs and other resorts.
No complaints -bus transportation had issues not very good at getting passengers to desired destinations
The coffee maker was nice, a Kreug, and beds were really comfortable.
Room was not as seen on site. The bathroom was tiny; had a bathtub and curtain instead of a clear glass wall for the shower as seen on site. Towels were worn out
Cleanliness and maintenance issues
We loved the great staff.
The rooms are not clean and the grout stain job on the mildewed shower.
The parking and resort fees.
Very friendly staff & great for visiting Disney
The proximity to Disney springs, transportation to Disney parks (every 30 min) which was awesome! Staff was very friendly. The pool was nice, they have a children's play room which was pretty cool. Decorations were nice as well seemed modern. Bath toiletries were all aveda which is better than most hotels where their products are sub par.
Do not like that resort fees are not included in daily listed price on kayak, the hotel restaurant is expensive. We had some difficulty with the ac but nothing too bad
A hotel that makes parents happy
So close to Disney property, across the street from Disney Springs. Very very very clean hotel. In my opinion the most luxury hotel you will find in the Lake Buena Vista area. I have stayed here twice and will definitely stay again in the future as long as the price stays this reasonable.
Staff was helpful, good location
The shower head in our room was not mad for people over 5'5. Needs to be higher
The staff were truly pleasant at every encounter and the proximity to Disney Springs was awesome!
The shower continually made the bathroom floor extremely wet. The shower looked nice, but slip and fall risk was very disappointing.
Very clean. Staff were very nice. Great value. Ove
Loved the cleanliness of the resort. It is a very modern and clean resort that is very convenient to Disney. Every staff person that we encountered were very friendly. We normally stay at a resort across the street as we visit multiple times a year and have wanted to stay here for a while, finally gave it a try and glad we did.
