Service was outstanding and prior email exchange super comfortable and convenient We got upgraded to an executive suite incl private bathtub which we used extensively Private teppanyaki dinner was absolutely amazing
It’s not cheap but worthwhile for a special occasion
Best of both worlds, Japanese authentic experience with western amenities like room service, western beds and western breakfast
The mountain view is awesome! The Japanese garden is also beautiful. The hotel is a bit far away from the city center but it provides one free taxi ride between the Kyoto station and the hotel. There’s a quite a number of tourism attractions, restaurants and souvenir shops within walking distance. Easy to get around.
The onsen (hot spring) is not free for residents. It costs ¥3,500 for a 45-min session. It’s a private session though. No else would be allowed except you and your companions. It’s good experience but I didn’t expect that I’d need to pay additional fee for it.
Everything was perfect, I loved the private hot spring bath so refreshing and a wonderful experience.
The location is very good. It is near by the coffee shop and local market. Overall facilities and the hotel design is japanese unique and beautiful. Front desk and Concierge team are friendly and helpful.
One of the staff at the hotel’s cafe was not well communicate. He cannot clearly explain the sentence in English. His face was not smiley and not friendly. Another quite disappointed point is that there was a small dark spot on the bed sheet. In my opinion the room price of this hotel is a little bit expensive compared to other luxury hotel chain in Japan.
