I loved this hotel. The breakfast was hot with eggs cooked in many ways personally to your liking. Fresh croisants, bacon, sausages. Really clean, fresh rooms, elegant restored design. The ladies at the desk get 5 stars from me, printed my train times, searched information for me. Location was not city center but was still really good. Highly recommend this hotel but perhaps no room for me the next time I come.
Only thing on my wish list is a face cloth but I have found that not may hotels in Europe provide them.
The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is very close to the station and also the main square in the old town. It is a very clean and comfortable hotel and the breakfast served was delicious.
The only problem we encountered was being woken at 7.30 am by the cleaning staff who were busily hoovering adjacent rooms and corridors. very noisy!! We also were given a room at the back of the hotel which was very small and not really suitable for two people. We asked to be moved and the staff were very accommodating and found us a larger room at the front of the hotel for our second night.
My room was spacious with a balcony. It was modern. I liked having a kettle - my hotel Berlin recently didn't providde one nor did Prague. The breakfast was very good & plentiful, even for a vegetarian..
People spoke very minimal English. I think for good tourism, like it or not, there is a need to converse with visitors. Krakow generally didn't seem to have many English speakers, even in tourist information it was minimal. So the hotel reception was important to make people feel comfortable. It would have been nice to have other meals available but I realise it is not really possible as the building is small.
Convinient location, clean well-found rooms, friendly personal and low price make this hotel very pleasant place.
The price was exceptionally excellent value for money as this was low-season pricing. I would be happy to suggest this accommodation to my friends and colleagues. Everything was new and clean - brilliant.
My television ceased working - known to temperamental. This was a real annoyance as I use the opportinty to try to learn a bit more Polish whilst listening to the TV. Repair man called - no joy. Given new room - new TV - so I appreciate the effort to rectify the problem.
