Great place to relax after hiking from Kobe to Arima. No dinner available as it’s Corona virus time, but 7/11 nearby so no problem. Onsen was great, staff helpful and kind, rooms very comfortable
All was lovely
Great stay, excellent hospitality. Room was a bit pricey but worth it just for the experience of staying at a traditional inn. There were some small shops located right outside the hotel. Staff's attentiveness was awesome, they were even helpful with figuring out transportation outside of Kobe to our next location. Also could choose your main dish that would be served at your dinner upon check in.
There wasn't much to complain of, didn't realize if you wanted to have meals served in your room it costs extra per person.
Excellent interesting traditional food and atmosphere. The spa was fantastic. Special waters and therapeutic to body and spirit.
The whole experience of staying and relaxing in a traditional ryokan with onsen is something you have to do when you are in Japan. This place breaths tradition and it is nice to walk around and have dinner in your yukata. The staff is very polite and friendly. The onsen is simple but the water with the golden redish colour (because of the minerals) brings a bit of magic to your skin. Dinner and breakfast food is of good quality. They offered a free taxi service to the station.
Some parts are not modernized such as the bathroom (it is cold and old but we did not use it since we used the facilities in the onsen). For dinner in the restaurant they offer two shifts: one at 6 PM and one at 8 PM. The courses are therefore served in a fast pace. We felt rushed and did not have enough time to enjoy all the beautiful dishes that were being served.
