Pros: Super friendly staff, great breakfast, lovely facilities
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was great with a variety of fresh local ingredients. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Gorgeous furniture style in the breakfast area and availability of fresh fruit tray in lobby.
Cons: I think it’s over rated and not a good value for what you get compared to much better options in the area. Queen rooms are very small and made up of two adjacent small beds which is very uncomfortable. WiFi does not work in upper floors. I was very excited to use the Turkish bath but was bothered by a stinky odor inside. Swimming pool is tiny and not much to brag about. Not a great walking area and lacking good view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: facilities - bedroom furnishings, comfort, luxury details, pool, staff, location, breakfast Drinks provided on arrival, availability of fruit and cookies 24 hours.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and great quiet location. Good facilities and a breakfast to die for. The owner even took me in his car to a local restaurant when I asked for advice. A particularly warm welcome and comfortable, clean room. If I come back to Ephesus I would stay here without reservation
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is Exquisite. Truely 5 * from the accommodation itself to the customer service to the convenient location to Ephesus. It’s been pure luxury staying there as a guest
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel decoration is absolutely gorgeous in every detail, sculptures, art collections, chairs, etc. The manager Mustafa was so kind and helpful in everything, and it was a delight to chat with him. The only pity is that we stayed for only one night and didn’t have time in the morning for messages. But we will definitely return here when we come to Turkey again.
Cons: Nothing. I will give a score of 100/10 if I can.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with amazing staff and exceptional attention to detail. Nothing not to like, and massage was wonderful.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It had everything we expected and more. The staff were very helpful and the owner did not spare anything to make the stay of his guest most worry free and enjoyable. Mr. Ali and everybody else working with him will be very fondly remembered by us for giving the best service during our stay.
Cons: Nothing at all. Everything was beyond our expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location (for tourism) and service is outstanding. We arrived from India after a long 22 hour flight and Mustafa took us in and made us feel like home. They run a tight ship and because of this, their attention to detail is excellent. They individualize the experience of their guests - you can’t really ask for more! Highly recommended!

Pros: This was my favorite accommodation in Turkey!! The staff and sweet hotel dog, Argos, made us feel like long-time friends staying at the hotel. Not only were the rooms magnificent, but the views, food and wine from the restaurant, and beautiful items in the downstairs shops all exceeded expectations. The #1 reason I would come back is to spend more time with the hospitable and friendly staff though!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had just turned into the alley with our rental car looking for Hotel Mary's House after a long drive. A man sweeping the front area met our confused look with a friendly smile and informed us we had indeed found the right place. In fact it was Bugra the owner who I've been in contact with prior to our trip. Right away, Bugra helped us park our car and carried our luggage inside. The place is located in a quiet area within walking distance of sites like Basilica of St. John and the town center. Upon stepping through the front gate you feel the warmth and charm of a home away from home complete with the house cat lazily sleeping in it's own lounge bed in the courtyard. We were promptly checked in and shown our room. The room was impeccably clean and well furnished. Bugra's attention to detail shows in the rooms decor from custom doors to the fixtures in the bathroom. He gave us a practical guide on how to best use the rest of our evening and the rest of our stay to get the best experience possible in Selcuk. Next morning, we were treated to a wonderful home made breakfast, easily the best for our entire stay in Turkey. It is clear the family run place take great pride in bringing comfort to each and every guest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our only regret is we had only time to stay one night. If we had the chance to visit again, we would definitely look to come back for another stay at Hotel Mary's House.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, breakfast and most of all the hospitality of the host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This family run bed and breakfast was everything it promised to be- impeccably clean and a stone’s throw away from St John’s Basilica, the castle and the museum and ofcourse a sumptuous breakfast. The owner was extremely charming and great fun to chat with. We highly recommend this property for your stay in Selçuk.

The garden and pool are lovely and create a relaxing atmosphere. I loved the fact that the host saved so many animals. In the hotel you will probably meet some cats, a dog and tortoises. Good location and breakfast. Nice room.
Cons: We had a little balcony but a chair to sit would be nice. At the time we couldn't pay with cc.

Pros: Breakfast was good. Location was excellent. Hosts very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He speaks fluent English and she speaks fluent French. Beautiful old Turkish rugs throughout. The pool was lovely.
Cons: Light-blocking curtain could have been a darker color to better block the light. We think the air conditioner might have turned itself off during the night - not sure about this.

Pros: Charming hotel, decorated with taste. Excellent welcome, the owners are doing everything to make our stay comfortable, helpful in planning visits. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious as well as the bathroom. There is a lovely garden surrounded by a stonewall where a copious and delicious breakfast is served. The pool is well maintained and water is clear, it is nice to have a swim after a hot day of visiting the ruins of Ephesus. The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to nice restaurants, St John Cathedral and the Fortress. My room had a lovely view of the garden, the swimming pool and the Fortress. A place I would surely return to.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our group of friends had the most amazing hospitality at this little hotel. The host is personable and his hard working staff keeps the place spotless. The showers were large. Oversized towels and clean linens. A beautiful view of the fortress from some rooms and the patio. Comfortable shared seating areas inside and a beautiful patio and pool for breakfast or evening relaxation. The host shared great information about the local area. I wish we had booked two nights here and skipped the stay in Izmir the night before.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the property is a genuine person and really helpful. He told us how to get to all the important landmarks, assisted in exchanging our foreign currency and even told us what to do at our next stops on a trip through Turkey. Authentic person who really cares that his guest are safe, and have a good travelling experience.
Cons: The property is a bit concealed off the main road, but if you have Google maps it shouldn't be a problem to find.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations. Even closer to the little downtown area with lots of little shops and restaurants. The staff were super nice and helpful, with good tips on getting around. The rooms were modest but very decent and the roof top restaurant has an excellent view of the castle. The small pool and cold beer were the perfect way to relax after walking through Ephesus.

Cons: Everything was great here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super helpful and friendly manager
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and helpful owner. The covered terrace for breakfast was very nice. The upgrade to a larger room was worth it. Very close to the sights in town and to the bus station to take you to Ephesus.
Cons: The small pool doesn't have heated water or a surface skimmer to remove debris. So we did not use it. Perhaps in the heat of the summer the pool could be refreshing without heated water, but they need to have a manual pool skimmer so you can get rid of the leaves, etc floating on the surface of the water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms, the breakfast and the hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastically helpful - they provided us with bottles of cold water as we arrived, were able to recommend everything we needed around the area, even did our laundry for us (for a nominal fee). They were very friendly and welcoming, absolutely would stay there again.

Pros: Excellent hotel and the staff were fantastic. They could not have done more to ensure our short stay was the best it could be. Lovely breakfast too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpfull. We took the night bus to Selçuk, so we arrived very early (at 6 am) and the hotel gave us a room few time after our arrival, without extra costs. They also helped us with transports to Efeso and helped us booking bus tickets for the next day. Room was clean. Breakfast was fine (cheese, ham, orange, strawberries, tomato, cucumber, fresh bread, cake, omelete, jam, tea, coffee..) Walking distance from city center and main attractions.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved this small hotel! The room was large, clean and comfortable. The tiny pool was perfect for the hot afternoons -- refreshing! The folks who ran the place were helpful and friendly. My daughter and I enjoyed a glass of wine one evening in the open air restaurant -- nice view. Breakfasts were tasty. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: At night we got a little street noise until maybe 10:00pm-- tractors coming back from fields, children enjoying the cool air. It didn't bother us too much, though.

Pros: Nice staff and friendly environment. Rural and old design although quite clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The garden, the kitties and the breakfast, everything.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was good, near to the Main Street, bars, restaurant and shopping area and also to the Harbour, very easy to reach the departures of the boat excursions
Cons: Rooms are old, bathroom is smelly, rusty faucets, rooms are cleaned every 3 days...the first night when we came back after a day out find the room dirty was really bed. Our stay was 4 nights and after asking they agreed to clean the room the second day. This should be written in the hotel description, I would definitely not chose this kind of stay. According to Turkish style (this was part of our trip in turkey) this is completely incredible. Last but not least breakfast is boring, you cannot chose anything, everyday they bring you a plate with the same things and if you compare it to the Turkish standard tried in every hotel touched during our journey ... no comment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This little gem is off the beaten track and very close to Ephesus and the Home Of The Virgin Mary. It has rustic charm. It is very basic, but extremely clean and very comfortable. There was no vehicular noise to disrupt our sleep. We booked this guest house as we were a day early for our check in at a resort in Kusadasi so we were able to break our journey and were near to tourist attractions en route. The owner provided a lovely and ample Turkish breakfast which was served in an unexpected leafy courtyard within the walled building.
Cons: For the price we paid, nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazon antique is really lovely. The place to take e rest with an icy beer and to have breakfast is wonderful. The owner is very kind. If I come here again I will stay at Amazon antique for sure. Also the rooms are simple but nice.

Pros: The location with amenities was perfect and so environmental for relaxation.
Cons: The place is enrich with fruit and the area as well has good sounds of bounties but, yet the hotel management don't offer this as complementary to their guests unless asked for. For example, the red grape, peach, fig...etc are founded and may offered as welcoming to the guests upon their arrival...Also, they may offering guests a short brief with tour into the winery ....In addition, to tasting the wine other than asking for charges to get tasted The only thing was surprising me is the breakfast as I never had this minimal selections and low quality criteria ever in Turkey...It needs a lot of improvement They are coming late after reminder to clean the room and apology they don't have baby bed although confirmed at the booking time!!

Pros: The owner is very nice, the rooms tipically furnished and silent, the brekfast very good
Cons: Nothing to say
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved the house itself and the staff. Location is perfect for visiting Ephesus as well as the local shops, but it is in a quiet street.
Cons: Incredibly uncomfortable beds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint, historic home, where our family of five occupied two rooms on the second floor, with a large, open seating/common area. The home is decorated with traditional Turkish rugs, furniture, wall decorations, lamps, etc.--a little living staying in a museum. It was an 8 minute walk to town (Selcuk has a wonderful village market on Saturdays that extends over many blocks). We walked the 3KM to the Ephesus ruins and looked out over the old fortress on a hlll in town.
Cons: One toilet has a few issues but these were quickly addressed.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great breakfast!!!
Cons: Laundry fee is not as expected but no other choice outside...so it’s convenient though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Nice family athmosphere Host very helpful with tips for What to do in our few days there

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, helpful hosts, beautiful location, beautiful room and overall farm with many nice details. Farm animals are a bonus for us especially for our son. Way to have quiet, calm vacation, away from crowds. Pool is another plus at a farm.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Animals walking about, birds singing songs, trees and flowers all around... Not many people around, making you feel special... Room decorated with all kinds of antiques, fireplace, and best of all - a stone whirlpool... Many interesting things to spend time exploring on the hotel grounds... Simplistic but natural breakfast that could improve, but is more than OK
Cons: The only problem with the place was the poor plumbing and water pressure. It literally takes about two hours to fill the whirlpool to half height - so you really need to plan ahead! It is next to impossible to adjust the water temperature in the shower - it is so sensitive that you either get cold or hot. The bathroom feels like it was added to the room later and wasn’t in the original plans (which could indeed be the case as we are in a village) - it is really tight and water gets sprayed everywhere making the entire floor wet.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was out of this world! And so generous. The children loved all the animals including the peacock and the pony. The place has a lot of charm and is filled with the owner's character.
Cons: The green light that stayed on in the garden all night! And its name is "By Ipek" - very confusing to see it listed as Byipek (one word) and as a stonehouse as well!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The stone house and it's garden are extremely beautiful. There's a lot of animals. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Location was nice too.
Cons: Unfortunately, our kids were too small to get through the night with peacocks singing from time to times on our roof.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room decorated with luxurious, old world and eclectic items/furniture. It was comfortable and felt like a movie set - the recessed, stone-walled hot tub in the middle of the room was an awesome touch. The grounds are immaculate - lovely paths around the complex, clean and relaxing outdoor pool, chic decorations throughout. Breakfast was fantastic - enormous quantity of decadent local cuisine, attentively served by hotel staff. The town center is a 5 minute walk away and is absolutely charming. I would highly recommend staying here and in the future I would love to return for a longer visit!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: swimming pool cats
Cons: nothing

Pros: Great view. We loved the staff! Good breakfasts, too! It was nice to stay more in a neighborhood as we liked walking downhill to the center of the village ,
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view from terrace and pool area is beautiful (it faces the bascilia). Staff is really helpful and they drive it with a great sense of ownership. There have a very friendly dog also.
Cons: It was almost at the hill top (more like a plateau, which gave it a nice view). So, it was difficult to get our car there. Especially at night and in a new country. Although the staff was really helpful in getting it there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The warmest hospitality received during our short stay
Cons: We should have spent more days at Villa Dreams!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, my parents can't walk too far, they had a room on the first floor and they provided a shuttle in to town and back
Cons: Wish we could of had dinner there, it was so nice there that we didn't want to go down town to eat
9.6 Excellent

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The family was very friendly and helpfull. They helped to arrange all my visits to all sites i wanted to see, even those when i stayed at Pamukkale and Izmir for a good price. Again thank you so much for that :D.
Cons: The option of juice with the breakfast would have been nice. (But this is because i dont drink tea or coffee, so its personal.)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Clean and cosy!! The location is superb.
Cons: No lift but the staff helps us to carry our luggages.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent. We found everything we need around the hotel, even the post office. There is a Saturday market near by too. The train station and bus station is very close to the hotel but not noisy.
Cons: Only one thing is, there is no elevator. But the staff was very helpful enough to help us with our luggage.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. Very close to the bus stand and railway station. Several cute little restaurants everywhere. The breakfast was superb and so were the hotel helps!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff and everyone in town are extremely helpful. They don't seem in it "for the money" though they have to make a living. Great! breakfast!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This is a small, no-frills hotel affording great value in a central location in Selcuk. It's walking distance from the train station and to the main area of the town with all the food that entails. I think this place is a small family run affair - the owner was super helpful, offering a handy map and cheatsheet with timings of trains, buses to Ephesus, even the weekend markets. Also with great food recommendations (the Old House restaurant around the corner). The breakfast was pretty great as well.
Cons: Any criticism of the hotel should be taken with consideration of the excellent value the hotel provides. The rooms are a little on the smaller side, and you'll be taking the stairs up and down to your rooms. If you're fine with this, there really isn't much to worry about. The bathrooms could have been a little better - the wall mount for the shower was broken.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in and around area. Breakfast very good. Property feels very safe.
Cons: A mini fridge would be nice to keep some cool drinks and ice-cream.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything ,very welcoming staff always willing to help always smiling , great location good breakfast ,whole atmosphere was great.
Cons: Nothing , all good
8.0 Excellent

5.8 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed. Breakfast is tasty with ready and home-cooked options. Good location.
Cons: When we asked to pay in TL, the room charge was calculated on a funny eur/tl rate which we discovered later... Room was dark, almost no natural light with low lightning in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really good breakfast on the terrace with fantastic views, good sized rooms and facilities, very helpful staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well within expectations. Pictures of the hotel external areas underestimate a bit its installations, but can’t say the same for the bathroom in the room.
Cons: Bathroom installations are not well maintained.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Just 5 mins walk from the bus station to Ephesus. Nice breakfast at the rooftop of the hotel. The room was clean. Hotel staffs were nice. Better if the wifi was stronger. But overall exceptional given the price.
Cons: Wifi signal
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, comfortable room and the most hospitable staff! Made us feel right at home. Thanks for everything!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Confortable room, quiet but in the city center, kind staff
Cons: N/A
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel was not too far away from the bus station and the train station Room is clean and we didn't have any problems
Cons: Be aware that from the main street there is quite a steep incline to get to the street of the hotel, and there is no elevator in the building we stayed in, so it's all a bit difficult to move around with suitcases. Hotel offered a day tour for Efes and told us all the places we will be visiting, but did not mention anything about the stops at the pottery company/carpet company/leather company, so it was all very unexpected. Also they said lunch was a buffet but they served (not a lot) of food in a building at the back of the leather company.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is great. Location is less than a minute from the city centre and the bus station, with supermarkets and shops all around. Even then, the place is really private and cozy, with little traffic noise.
Cons: Staff will direct you to tours and shops. It's up to you if you take them or not, they don't pressure you.
6.7 Good
Pros: Very good breakfast
Cons: No proper window and not enough daylight in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely simple hotel with everything you need. People are very nice and the room was equipped with everything and the bed very comfortable. Has a very nice terrace also. They helped us arrange our arrival from Izmir and our visit to Ephesus. 100% recommended EXCELLENT value for money.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hostel for this price Lovely staff ! Nice breakfast
Cons: I didn't really like the food...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Run by a lovely couple that makes you feel at home and would try to help you in whatever you need to be confortable and orient yourself in Selçuk. Totally recommend this place, the rating they have is well deserved.
Cons: Single room could have a night stand lamp. It is just a minor thing but would complete the otherwise very comfortable room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was good, enviroment was very cozzy and I loved the garden. And staff was very friendly. Thank you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was the best part of our stay, and ofcourse the very warm and welcoming hosts.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location.
Cons: There was quite alol of hair on my pillow. Seems they didn't change pillow cover, blanket cover and bed sheets because small wasn't good. And they don't accept credit card. Only cash !!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great spot: centrally situated. Clean, attractive, well equipped, comfortable room with great balcony. Amazing outdoor terrace for guests. Would definitely stay again if we visit Selcuk.
Cons: Payment was a problem, as he couldn't take debit or credit cards. The wife was away, so meals weren't offered on the terrace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and delicious breakfast was served every morning. The couple who runs this hotel is very welcoming and helps wherever they can. The house is very tastefully decorated and has a magnificent garden where the breakfast is served. The room was functional and immaculately clean with a nice balcony. All important attractions in and around Selcuk are easily reachable. There is a very nice restaurant also run by this couple which serves very delicious food. I would always come back to this place whenever I would return to Selcuk. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits this area. You get a lot for what you pay for and the hosts are really really nice and helpful and the best: they have a stork couple who raise their kids in a huge nest, just next to their garden, which is fantastic!
Cons: Nothing. Everything exceeded my expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this lovely family-run guesthouse was great, being at the centre of town - but down a quiet road and only minutes from the bus and train stations. The property was spotlessly clean. The staff were welcoming, extremely friendly and very helpful; offering not only great recommendations for day trips but also organising one for me.
Cons: No negatives to add.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great location with excellent amenities. hotel staff speaks Chinese. the single room is spacious with a balcony enough for 2 persons to stay. highly recommend for its location and price.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the best breakfast ( the watermelon, cheese, jam) ever, everything was just yummy. Our room had a really nice balcony and the view was amazing. But overall, the staff in everything. I forgot my new jacket in the hotel and realized about it the next day. They were so nice that helped me and send the jacket to the provided address in Istanbul!!! I totally recommend this place also because it is very well located.
5.4 Okay
Cons: The smell from the bathroom was bad
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owners and staff are friendly and are happy to help. The roof top terrace has a beautiful view for sunset and is the perfect spot to start your day. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Location is great - it’s super close to St. John Church and an older Mosque (no loud prayer calls when we were there, though). This is a great family run guesthouse. We would stay here again!
Cons: The shower did not drain very quickly, so a few inches of water would accumulate. Wifi worked great the first day, but wasn’t working on our second day. Not a huge issue, but our room felt a little worn and dated.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean sheets good staff good location
7.9 Good
Pros: There was a full Turkish breakfast including had boiled eggs, served on a balcony which overlooks the plain leading to the Artemision and Ephesus. Beautiful views in the morning and at sunset. We were not driving - but it is easy to find on foot from the station or bus station. For anyone driving, it has the advantage of easy parking without having to go into the old quarter as it is on the edge of the town. Selcuk is a pleasant market town and has a spectacular Saturday market. Ephesus is less than 10 minutes on the minibus from the bus station. There are good bars and coffee shops on the same street -Anton Kallinger Caddesi.

Cons: Tours on offer are overpriced-just take a dolmus!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet location, up the hill away from the main busy part of town, but very close to walk to. Short walk to bus station for dolmus to Ephesus, Sirince. Swallows nesting on outside of building :) Lovely view of sunset from terrace. We left a phone on the bus from the airport and the manager was very helpful and tried to phone the bus company (we did get the phone back when we waved the bus down on its returm journey!). Selcuk is a lovely place - look up to see the storks perched on the street lamps!
Cons: Private bathroom is a wet room and shower is right next to toilet which gets wet - we just made sure we took the toilet roll out of the room and put the seat up while we were showering and it was fine. Wifi signal in room not great, but worked well in reception area where there are comfy sofas.
