Not only was he helping us, he was providing guide services, transfers, directions, recommendations, for most who stayed at the Haveli. He arranged a random tuk tuk for us to visit Bada Bagh for evening photography, not a guided tour, just the ride which was exactly what we wanted. He also helped me secure a SIM card. Also, the restaurant now turns out to be one of the better ones we have been to in India. And the view of the fort at dinner time is spectacular.

Pros: Gaji Hotel is very well located with superb views of the Fort and surrounding city, wonderful roof top restaurant and is as depicted in the photos and a short walk to Bazaar and Fort entrance. This is a lovely characteristic Haveli style hotel in very nice condition. The rooms are spacious, very nicely presented and clean. Our room was a Deluxe Family Room with private Bathroom/Toilet, Queen Bed and with a separate room for second Queen Bed (curtain as door) which was super for us being a couple with our adult daughter. Gaji and his cousin Ali were super helpful; they arranged a free pick up for us from where the bus dropped us, gave us welcome drinks and Ali spent time showing us with a local map the places to see and do and also about the fantastic Camel Desert Safari that Gaji offers - groups of a max of 5, away from tourist crowds with overnight stay in the desert. The Safari is very fairly priced and the camels very well looked after. Ali suggested we split our 2 nights at the Gaji Hotel with the camel trek the second night and our second hotel night the night following the Camel Trek night so that we had a night after the trek in the hotel rather than straight from the trek to our next bus journey - Gaji and Ali rearranged our booking and provided a room to freshen up in before the trek which was fantastic service. We were taken on a 1 hour jeep trip to Gaji's Desert Camp (option to stay the night in luxury camp tents) greeted with Rose Water and Chai drinks and then the 1 hour Camel Trek to our desert camp and sand dune walk to our sunset vantage point, whilst a fantastic local meal was cooked on a small fire into the night and then slept under the stars; woke to hot chai and breakfast being cooked and saw a superb sunrise. A 2 hour camel trek over sand dunes return for the jeep trip back to the Gaji Hotel - a superb experience.

They went out to get me antibiotics as I was sick, and even dropped me at the fort by motorbike when there were no tuk tuks around. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and respected.

Mr. Abdullah was our trusty camel guy and Mr. Sodha our jeep driver and cook. We had a delicious freshly cooked vegetarian meal prepared on an open fire and then were provided with raised beds to marvel at the incredible dark skies. It was wonderful. (Oh yes, lots of great choices for breakfast and dinner meals at the hotel itself)

Pros: The property was new when I stayed last time. It’s now settled into its bones and is like the grand dame of the street! It’s beautiful design is what I love. The staircases going up- the view down from the mezzanine floor. Rooms are really spacious too.

Pros: The property was new when I stayed last time. It’s now settled into its bones and is like the grand dame of the street! It’s beautiful design is what I love. The staircases going up- the view down from the mezzanine floor. Rooms are really spacious too.

Pros: I love it’s situation on edge of the lake. The rooftop area is so relaxing to sit and have chai. But as I’ve mentioned in an earlier review( that’s how much I love this place this town) it’s the internal architecture and spacious rooms that set it apart from other accommodation.

All these services for a only 1770 rupies (22 €), best quality/price ratio during our holiday in India

Pros: The staff were incredible, going out of their way to be helpful and hospitable. Decor is lovely, the food in the amazing rooftop restaurant was incredible. Order their special Rajasthani thali! We organised a desert safari through them which was great and they offered us a shower and bed the next day whilst we waiting for a midnight train. I cannot rate this place high enough and for such a reasonable price!

During the camel safari they were very helpful as well. E.g when 2 persons in my group got sick they helped in finding alternatives for them.

Cons: The camel safari package. He showed us a very nice place for dinner and music but they look us to the different place, poor food and dirty space. It’s unfair for costumer. Pls next time be real with the costumer. We agreed to book for the higher price cause the service but it was so disappointed

Cons: Bed/pillows not the most comfortable. Problems with the shower/hot water but we were only there for a couple of days, so if you can live with this, the great staff/service and food make up for it. Pool water didn't look clean enough for us to have a dip.

Pros: People were Excellent, they help us in everything, we had free guide, and I was poorly because the pollution in new Delhi and they gave me some ginger te to make myself feel better for free just for help. The safary was easy to book and everything clean, the two guys in charge of the safary were so nice, kind and helpful... I couldn't ask for any more. If we come back, for sure we'll stay here again.

The rooms where very clean and beautiful. We booked a camel/desert safari at this hotel. The staff are what make this hotel even more impressive. They where very friendly and even gave us a room for most of the day after the camel safari to freshen up and rest before our overnight sleeper bus.

Not only did they have many tips for us about their beautiful desert city, they took us on walks around the city and the fort, and showed us their home. Cons: The cleanliness is completely missing. A used tray with cups was placed right outside my rooms door throughout my stay. The chairs ans swing in the garden was covered with dust. The food was pathetic and highly expensive. The washroom was not clean at all and was drinking even after a cleansing twice (on request). So, for 6000 per night, this is definitely not a place I would like to stay in. HRH Group need to up their standards. They are simply poaching money, especially, from foreigners. Take money but then provide services at an equal evel.
