The location was amazing -- beautiful views of the river and cathedral. The building itself looks picturesque and old-fashioned and has promise.
Bed was old and partly broken (headboard almost off, divan section creaky), pillows were filthy (we used the less dirty spares with our own pillowcases) and the furnishings are old and dark. There is a strong smell of cigarette smoke and cloying air freshener throughout and the room needed a thorough cleaning. We did not try breakfast as it was an expensive extra and there is no parking available. Fortunately we could open a window -- had we not been able to do so we could not have stayed with our asthma. The price is reasonable for the area if the hotel were done up but for the stay we had we found it overpriced.
Great location great owner very welcoming lovely room and a great breakfast
I stayed in the little small cottage at the back. adequate for a single person, for which it is laid out. single bed very comfortable., Shower was great. and the kitchenette was a bonus. Fiona and her staff were lovely . Location was superb, short walk over the bridge to the many restaurants and pubs. free street parking 6pm - 10 am
There was nothing not to like .
Friendly owners/staff, right in the middle of everything, by the river, amazing views. Cottage is perfect for lone travellers like myself, cute, private entrance.
Poor/ no connection to WiFi in cottage. Maybe that’s because of weather. This is also the only “negative” thing about this place. Everything else is good. What can I say - when it’s good it’s good
Convenient entrance and exit through back gate. Location fantastic. Kitchenette so I didn't have to spend money eating out. Comfortable bed and good shower.
The only problem was lack of wifi. The annex I was in is presumably too far from the house.
