Lovely older home with vintage style furniture, pictures, decor in a quiet neighborhood. Very relaxing environment with nice amenities (free breakfast, snacks, wifi, games, books, movies). Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful.
I always wish for stronger water pressure in the shower, but was still nice to have a private bath in a B&B inn.
The traditional setup.
a. squeaky bed. b. no work table. c. no plugs for computer and phone.
What a delightful surprise for two weary travelers. We were graciously and cheerfully welcomed and shown around. Our room was enormous with a spa-tub. It was spotless and very tasteful. Some B & B's are so over the top with flowers. Perfect!
No, the morning breakfast was simple with juice, cereals, fruit, etc. If you're looking for a huge hot breakfast, this isn't the place but we found everything to be just right.
Expertly managed (booking, confirmation, check-in, tour, amenities, breakfast). Well maintained and updated. Comfortable, clean and convenient.
Bed in the Gold Room could be a bit more firm. Would stay there again anyway.
It was in a good location and the house was very charming.
The bed and towels in the Portrait Room certainly need to be replaced. The mattress and pillows felt old and uncomfortable. If those two aspects were changed, I would have virtually nothing negative to say about my stay!
Nice well kept Bed and Breakfast. Morning Breakfast was very good!
The inn was very quaint and the hot breakfast in the morning was wonderful. Also, the close proximity to downtown was excellent - a quick Uber ride!
We had been bumped from a nearby inn but were not notified until we arrived.
The innkeeper, Kathy, was very friendly and helpful. Complimentary snacks and sodas were available and the hot breakfast was also delicious. We stayed in the willow room and loved the inviting atmosphere. Had a wonderful stay and will do it again soon.
Best digs in Indy!
Prime location in Indy, historic home, very spacious room at a great price (parking, internet, breakfast included)! Inn keeper Kathy was super friendly and made a killer spinach mushroom quiche on Sat. and apple cinnamon french toast on Sun. for breakfast.
Great if you're looking for a traditional B&B in the downtown Indy area.
Charm, clean, easy to check in and out.
Privacy was a little less than ideal. Meaning you could hear people in the common space and the people on each side of you. Goes with the charm of an older home and B&B, but just an observation.
The Looking Glass Inn was a pleasant surprise to us. We loved the closeness and intimacy of our first bed and breakfast experience. It was like staying at your grandma's cousin's house -- like staying with family, but maybe not one that you know very well, and one who really loves lace and hard wood (but really, who doesn't?). It was very elegant and welcoming. The location was perfect. We were no more than a 15 minute walk to Massachusetts Ave, and no more than a 5-7 minute drive from anywhere we wanted to go downtown. We loved the food at breakfast on the weekend, and enjoyed the opportunity to meet some of our 'neighbors' in the close dining room setting. Even though we wished that breakfast ran a bit later, our room (the 'Portrait Room') was right across the hall from the dining room, so we really can't complain. In addition to the full breakfast on the weekend and the Continental breakfast during the week, other amenities including the internet, parking, and snacks in the Butler's Pantry were also included in our fare. We loved the Looking Glass Inn, and we look forward to future experiences with bed and breakfasts because of our great experience with LGI!
We loved the cozy and intimate setting of this Bed and Breakfast. It was our first experience with a B&B, so we weren't sure what to expect. LGI was a lovely introduction. Cathy, the Innkeeper, was very nice -- and an excellent cook!
It would be wonderful if there were healthy snacks and bottled water available in the Butler's Pantry. Also, it would be great if the room had a mini-fridge for leftovers. My partner also wished that breakfast on the weekend ran a little later than 9:30.
What a cool Bed & Breakfast, if you like historic architecture, antiques, and an uncommon place to stay this is the place to stay. Wonderful staff! Fabulous breakfast! We will definitely stay there again.
Everything was great!
