Pros: Great place, amazing breakfast, bed and shower. Highly recommended after a long trek.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and patio were quite large and more than suitable for our needs. Everything was cleaned to a very high standard and the shower was very hot. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely hot shower. Breakfast was great; french press coffee and eggs. Location was excellent; far enough from town to be quiet but only a short walk. The owner Zarela is truly wonderful, and was so helpful with providing information about the area and activities. A special mention to the on-site restaurant as well; some of the best Thai food we have had on our travels!
Cons: Absolutely nothing. Would highly recommend!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host, Zaruela, is a wonderful person that helps with everything imaginable and connects people if they like. The house is comfortable, clean, with lots of areas to spend time and chill. It’s a quiet neighborhood in a not so quiet city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good Apartment. Would stay here again! Very friendly stuff!! Helped booking tours. Everything very easy going. It’s close to the City Center but in a quiet road. They have good tea and a nice Thai restaurant. Everything is very clean, really good and warm blankets. We stayed for 6 nights. Daily cleaning room service. Provided towels and sanatary. Highly recommend this Place!!! Thank you for everything!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean property with spacious rooms and lots of outdoor spaces for hanging out. Zarela provided helpful information on the surrounding hikes, and booked transportation for us to the trailheads. Great French press coffee at breakfast and the onsite Thai restaurant serves delicious food, we ate there several times during our stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Zarela and her team were very helpful and kind. The place is situated in a quiet area but not too far from the main plaza. The room was really comfortable, the bed, pillow, and comforter were top notch 4 star quality! The interior of the place is nice too. The thai food they offered were good.
Cons: Wifi signal doesn’t reach most part of our room. Maybe bathroom facilities could be improved.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and the room was clean and pretty spacious. They gave us gas for camping for free. The restaurant downstairs is nice and good. They let us pay after our 4 days trek because we didn’t have enough cash. Laundry was cheap and very fast.
Cons: We didn’t like that the scrambled eggs had to be payed extra for breakfast (and 10 Soles for one portion!): in the rest of Perù it never happened to us.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service. Large well equipped room, very clean and very good value for money
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Varied breakfast. Comfy room with lots of blankets. Kitchen was good, with everything you needed. Hot shower always. Ana is absolutely lovely, letting us stay in our room when we had a night bus. Her tour agency downstairs was also very professional with good rates and great service - we were very happy to use her tours and would recommend
Cons: Whilst Ana was always available by WhatsApp and super helpful and speedy, it was sometimes confusing as to who to ask for what you might need? There was rarely toilet paper in the bathrooms. There was noise from the street 2/4 nights so I'd recommend earplugs if you are doing early hiking tours.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to stay for a few days in Huaraz. Owner family is lovely and helps you with everything you need. They also organize tours which are very good. Breakfast is included and they always change it a little. I booked the dorm and had it to myself for the whole stay
8.8 Excellent
Pros: central but quite location. Good mattress and spacious rooms. Top shower very good pressure and hot! Staff is so super friendly here. They help you with everything, organizing tours. Anas husband is a guide and knows everyt track here! Highly recomennded to stay here!
Cons: ....
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff spoke English and were genuinely helpful. Good value. Quite at night.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the breakfast of Bread, jam and eggs. Reasonable coffee and the tea selection was great
Cons: Everything was great, the kitchen was a little small and would be a bit busy if there was more people at the property. But food in Huaraz is cheap and almost the same price as cooking yourself. So no big deal
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, hot water for shower and you can do your laundry at rooftop balcony.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owners Ana and her husband are really friendly and are there to help you at any time. The breakfast is good. You get some bread with eggs and jam and some fruit or yoghurt, thee and coffee. The accommodation is really clean. They have a small terrace that is nice with some views of the mountains. A 15 min walk from the touristy center.
Cons: When I arrived there was nobody, after calling Anna she came directly to open the door for me. She excused herself. Said that check in is at 12. On booking there stood from 12. Miscommunication. All the rest of my stay made it all good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good property standard. Hot showers. Decent wifi. Not bad breakfast. Very nice and helpful owners. Helped us a lot with organising day tours, both organised and on our own, gave a lot of useful tips. Stored our huge luggage while we were cycling around Huarascan National Park. We extended our stay there 2 times and came back a week later for a few more nights.
Cons: The property is located close to some disco/wedding venue/restaurant, I'm not sure. We had two noisy nights (out of 10), one night music didn't stop until 3am, another night it stopped at 11pm. As always in Peru - have a good pair of earplugs with you. The room requires some simple fixes - curtains mechanism didn't work properly, some drawers were broken. Nothing major.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is the best hostel that I stayed at in Huaraz. It was clean, comfortable and the owner was super friendly and helpful. She have me a lot of useful information regarding the area and trekking. I would love to stay there again. Thank you, Ana!

Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful and spacious room. Possible to have a fine dinner in the same place.
Cons: The room was next to a busy road so we heard the cars.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very very clean and the ladies were exceptionally helpful Amazing hot water Great view of glaciers
Cons: I had an early tour at 430 am and found everything locked. I called front desk and there was no answer. The lift didn't seem to be working either but the next morning when I enquired she informed me that it should have been working because They are a 24 hr hotel. Anyways I was leaving that nite and had to leave my luggage in lock up and then go on tour so ended up cancelling because of all this. The girl also informed me in the morning that I could stay in my room.until.it was tome to get the bus in late evening and I wouldn't be charged ...why didn't the guy tell me that. He was inexperienced compared to the ladies. Could have been my mistake. Advise to ask about everything otherwise. You'll find yourselves in this sort of situation. It wasn't so upsetting to me because I take everythkng with a grain of salt .. It was just to be that I nèeded to relax today and thanks to Roxanne who allowed me to stay in my room beyond checkout time

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lot of stuff with us and they accommodated that very well. Everything in the rooms was very clean.
Cons: The only way to get up to your room was for a staff member to unlock the lift - would be easier if guests had a key card and could do it themselves - this is minor though compared to how great everything else was!

Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. A shuttle from the hotel to the airport is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our group arrived very early and well before check in time, but we were greeted with enthusiasm and warmth. Additionally, the staff provided us with wonderful breakfast and coffee despite that it was not necessarily offered on our arrival day. The family atmosphere makes La Casa de Maruja an excellent choice in Huaraz and the staff is ready with advice for activities in the surrounding areas.
Cons: I was so pleased with my stay, I honestly cannot think of anything negative.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was a great little find and Maruja made us feel right at home. *we arrived on the night bus at 7am and we’re ablr to checkin right away - great for weary travellers *hot water for showers always a plus *stunning views from the top floor dining area of Huascarán *comfortable beds *a little shared balcony off our room *Maruja and her husband were very accommodating on anything we asked for - very friendly
Cons: * noise on the street was loud - lots of dogs barking and vehicles passing with loud music made it hard to get to sleep. However, once asleep I wasn’t woken up!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host family was responsive, helpful, and friendly. They were always ready with tips and recommendations for activities in the local area. I felt like I was a part of their family. They kindly stored our excess luggage while we trekked in the Andes. I give my most sincere recommendation to La Casa de Maruja.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great (bread, jam, coffee/tea, fruit shake, eggs) and was even prepared for us on mornings when we left at 3.30am and 5am (minus the eggs). The bed was sooo comfy and warm. It was hard to get out of it each day. Most importantly, Gilf and Maruja were absolutely wonderful hosts, very caring. They organised a number of day hikes for us and they have gear to rent if you need it.
Cons: The shower in our first room was only hot for the first night and following morning. Afterwards it was only lukewarm for a few days. When it was hot, it was amazing. Location is out of town which is comparatively quiet, but we found ourselves having to go into town a lot for food. You can get a taxi for 4-5 soles (I think we were overcharged at 5 soles in all but one taxi); a colectivo for 1 sole pp, or a public bus/van for 80 cents or so.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I came here for the second time really enjoyed the laid back, familiar atmosphere. Great place to stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Location was great, away from the chaos of the centre but an easy Colectivo ride in. The staff were so nice and helpful, giving us both an early check in and late check out. They really went out of their way to make you feel like you were at home. Breakfast was really good and the coffee was delicious. We made a lot of use of the kitchen which is big, basic but has all you need and there is a nice terrace area and even a climbing wall! We liked the B&B and Huaraz so much we extended our stay.
Cons: We liked everything about our stay, if I had to be picky the water pressure in the shower was a bit hit and miss but never a huge issue.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The beds were really nice, faculties were cleaned regularly and the offered a lot information in tours. Good value for money!!
Cons: Kitchen got really busy during dinner time, dishwashing area could be kept cleaner and cleaning wipes etc. should be renewed
5.0 Okay
Pros: Well located with lots to watch out the window at the market
Cons: The room constantly smelled like sewage, the sink leaked, the shower didn’t drain, it’s really loud outside since the market is next door
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful and nice staff, nice kitchen and common area. Nice hot showers with good water pressure. Central location.
Cons: Location was good for getting transport etc. but the hotel is right next to the market on the Main Street so it’s extremely chaotic and noisy outside basically all the time. WiFi didn’t work at all for us.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The beds had curtains that gave more privacy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The curtains which every dorm bed had were nice. It took a bit to figure out the showers but they had nice hot water. The location was perfect, right next to the market and in the same street as the bus station.
Cons: The kitchen was overly busy, especially during breakfast and dinner. The laundry service was at a good price but because they let the clothes dry outside on the balcony, they kind of smelled like the gasses from the cars in the streets.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was INCREDIBLY helpful booking our day trips/hikes, giving tips, answering questions and I have to say Akilpo prices were better than other agencies we looked near Plaza de Armas. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, shower was hot, kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and also FILTERED WATER, which was great and saved us from buying too many water bottles. Loved staying here!
Cons: Our room was located right near a main street and it was very noisy at times (it didn’t ruin our experience though)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked how everyone there is there to trek. And i think the place was clean. The beds had curtains which was really nice. And the staff was always there to help you on what you want to do
Cons: There’s only 4 showers so sometimes you have to wait. And it’s not always hot.

Pros: Very busy hostel great for solo travellers. The staff are very helpful and the facilities are great.
Cons: Could do with more blankets on offer since it can be a bit chilly at night

Cons: Poor breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great place. We ended up staying for 4 nights. Staff were great and helpful and spoke some English.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located 5min away from the Plaza de Armas. You don’t really hear the noise of the streets. The room was ok for a few nights. The WiFi was really good. The staff was really nice and welcoming. After a day of trekking, there’s indeed the possibility to take a shower before traveling.
Cons: Rooms are a bit old-fashioned. The breakfast wasn’t great at all as it’s not a buffet like almost everywhere else. You are granted 1 glass of fresh orange juice and 1 egg. Nothing more... you can still have bread, bananas and tea, but the choice is very limited.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very accommodating staff
4.2 Okay

Cons: Staff availability, poor value for money, continually ran out of hot water, nearly electrocuted by dodgy wiring of bedside lamp.

Pros: The staff were really lovely and helpful, I also liked that the beds has curtains - it's nice bit of privacy, especially when some in the room leave very early for hikes. There are two kitchens which is great and the food market is just opposite
Cons: Could do with having a few more showers!
8.0 Excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very busy hostel great for solo travellers. The staff are very helpful and the facilities are great.
Cons: Could do with more blankets on offer since it can be a bit chilly at night

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It has a good service, people working there was so kind. Moreover, installations were beautiful with a pretty Andean style.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The communal areas were lovely.
Cons: The dorm is crazy small, way too many beds in a tiny space. Selina is very corporate like, for example they dont check you in before 3 pm unless you pay half a day extra even if (like in my case) the dorm was completely empty. They can work on cleanliness too, especially their kitchen - there is no way i would have used it. This is the third time i stayed at Selina and
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good service!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was my first Selina experience and easily the best hostel I've been to. The common spaces are phenomenal and beautiful, and so are the rooms. It is a stark change from other hostels in the area that are more backpack-y and geared to campers. (Absolutely book here if you are the glamping type!) It was so nice to come home to this after a long day of hiking! Also, the showers are the best I've had in South America! If you've been traveling for a while, you'll appreciate the water pressure and temp control. The staff was also very nice and helpful!
Cons: Not a fan of higher prices on the weekends. Given this hostel is already significantly more expensive than others in Huaraz, the +$10USD rate hike was hard to stomach.
4.0 Okay
Pros: In Peru much better value for your money, staff was just helpful enough. Breakfast took forever we had to cancel the order one morning. Then the following day we planned it would take awhile which it did, when we finally got it not everything came out. Over all this place is over priced. You can get equally as nice places in Huaraz for half that with amazing service. Rooms were small.

Cons: When I first arrived I didnt like the way I was treated, I think the girl was polite but not really friendly

Pros: Very friendy and helpful Staff, nice breakfest included, clean rooms, nice showers with Hot water
7.5 Good
Cons: Do not take the tours offered by their "trusted friend" who will just scan yo u and upsell tours of other operators. The hotel will get a percentage of this. Instead look for Tour operators like "Corazon de Jesus" or others that will offer you a fair price!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Large room, great shower, comfortable bed, clean, good parking.
Cons: A kitchenette somewhere on the property would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is top notch. Value is excellent: you get a big room with comfortable beds and a big and clean bathroom for 10$ per night. Water pressure in the shower is awesome as well. Breakfast is meh but for the price you cant complain. You get a serving of scrambled eggs, bread and juice or tea. I would definetly recommend
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect for the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good staff!
7.9 Good
Pros: Very clean, big rooms, great shower. Breakfast is simple but ok - 2 buns, one egg, butter, jam, fresh juice, tea/coffe. Good wifi connection.
Cons: The room 408 has no outside window, the hot water connection was broken, really bad smell from the bathroom. Room 310 was much better.
