Staff was excellent. Location to Rice is excellent.
Our room appeared unkept when we arrived. The bathroom floor had what appeared to be stains, like it hadn't been mopped. We requested an extra cleaning, which they did, but it still appeared dirty. I put a wet tissue on some of the stain, rubbed it with my foot and it cleaned up, so it was capable of being cleaned. Also, peeling paint above the shower head and dirty wall by the refrigerator. Just not what we are used to for a Hilton. Its what I would expect in a Super 8.
Restaurant and front desk staff were superb. Roof top area was great.
Lobby was non existent, bar specials or an afternoon reception would have been nice
Everything else was bad! Rooms were not ready even by 3 pm, after requesting an early check-in. The first room we got had a stale moldy smell so we had to wait some more time till the next room was ready. Construction going on our floor and it triggered a fire alarm twice; forcing us to walk down ten flights of stairs only to be told it was a false alarm. Least they could have done was make an announcement to that effect. No extra bedding for the sofa bed. Worst stay imaginable. Will never recommend this location EVER and will be a lot more skeptical of the Hilton brand because of this experience.
An excellent stay
The room we had was excellent in terms of how large it was and its amenities. The value was great.
We didn't like two things: the coffee maker had only one regular roast packet and two decaf packets, so we couldn't make coffee for both of us in the morning; and the cleaning staff missed a used bar of soap laying on the floor in the bathroom right next to the trash.
Value for the price, location to local attractions and great dining.
For $148.00 breakfast should be included!
The pillows were wonderful!
The only coffee available was from the nasty coffee maker in the room. No continental breakfast offered.
