The staff was very lovely and helpful.
My room was on floor 5 and the hotel doesn’t have a lift. The stairs almost 70 wasn’t easy to go up.
The breakfast was average, they had a choice of either having a Vietnamese breakfast or a western breakfast. Could have been better. The room was neat and clean but had to climb stairs till the third floor. So that was a bit boring to do
Climbing stairs to third floor was not a very comfortable thing. The location was not very good. It was inside a lane behind other buildings which I did not like very much
The breakfast was very good, a choice of either European or Vietnamese; I went for the latter and it was excellent. The staff were generally helpful and friendly. It was clean, the wifi was excellent.
Don't even think about arranging tours or day trips with this hotel, they are massively overpriced - by this I mean four or five times the price you will pay by booking in town. This is a total rip-off. No doubt LeBlanc will claim that their tours are vastly superior to what is available in town. I booked two trips in town, to the Cu Chi tunnels and the Mekong Delta. I was very happy with both. The same destinations and durations, booked with LeBlanc, would have cost me four or five times what I paid. I had arranged with the hotel a free transfer from the airport. About two weeks before I was due to arrive, I checked with the hotel and they confirmed it. On the night before I was due to arrive, when it was too late to arrange anything else, they contacted me to tell me I would have to pay for it. Strictly speaking they were in their rights, because the free transfer was only available when booked through their own website, not through booking.com, and I had changed my booking in order to avail of a lower price on booking.com. So that is fair enough. Nevertheless, the fact that they confirmed it two weeks in advance - after I had changed the booking - and then miraculously 'discovered' their 'mistake' a few hours before my arrival left me with no choice other than to pay up the $15 or risk being stranded at the airport or left to the mercy of Ho Chi Minh City's notorious taxi drivers. This is not a good way of dealing with customers. I came back one day to find that my room had been left unlocked all day after cleaning. Nothing had been taken, but clearly this is not good. The hotel is in district 3. While district 1 is only about 20 minutes' walk away, there are better parts of the city to stay in. There isn't really that much of interest in the surrounding area.
The staff were friendly, the local food market is opposite and a real eye opener. It took my family with a 4 and 6 year old, 30 minutes to walk into the tourist area near the market. There is a lovely big park near by as well as a local swimming pool. The street vendors near our hotel loved the children and were very friendly.
Very friendly staff
Bed very uncomfortable
