Good AC and comfortable beds. We were easily able to extend our stay.

The owner tried to charge us extra for the room, claiming it was a busy time despite the fact it was cheaper on booking.com and we had stayed at the property for a few other nights. They also organised our bus to Ninh Binh which was awful as it turned out to be a tour bus which we weren’t a part of so had to wait hours on end. Cockroaches and ants in one of the rooms we stayed in.

Despite the issues highlighted, the staff were friendly. Beds were comfortable enough.

Staying in the mixed dorm, there was only one shower for us downstairs which was basically a toilet. Very difficult to shower in there. Also be careful not to book a bus through the hostel. We were heading to Hue and were told we could get a bus to Hue. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM Fortunately we asked for the name of the company (Queen Cafe Bus) before we booked. The reviews are utterly horrific. We are so lucky that we checked before booking as it seems just about everyone that goes. We recently mentioned our lucky escape to another backpacker and they told us they were on a bus where someone's passport was stolen, further justifying our decision. It was disappointing that the hostel would recommend such a company to us and to improve their reputation they should surely remove their asccoation with such an appalling company.
