It was advertised as a good place for backpackers. Well. It was not. Firstly, for some reason my dorm was full with peoples belongings but completely empty. The kitchen was disgusting. People leaving their food and putting back their dirty plates. We then have during the middle of the night the screaming from a lady which went on for maybe half an hour telling someone to get out. It frightened me. Maybe I would have stuck it out if I had had a companion but I am an 18 year old girl all alone, so did not feel safe at all. I was supposed to be staying four nights, but only stayed one. I left the next day in a rush leaving my keys in the early departures box, it was like a great escape. When I reached my next destination I cried out of relief. I might sound dramatic but it was horrific, even one of the other people telling me to get out of there, and even she was planning to go to the church to ask for help on a living situation. That’s how bad it was. There was also a random hole in the wall in which someone had done literally half hour after I arrived perhaps? Furthermore, it was paid in full back in October, I even have the photos of money being sent. However, upon arrival I was told I hadn’t paid. The guy was friendly enough, he wasn’t a full time worker at this place though, was only covering so he didn’t really understand it. He was saying it was booking.coms fault and all the problems they get with it and that I had to wait until Sunday to speak to the manager. I didn’t have that chance as I left early, but they did get that money. It was their end which had made the mistake and needed to be fixed, I did my part. Also, on the stairs some random person asked me what room I’m in and if I’m the one that just got out of jail?
Staff was friendly though I'll give them that. Location was acceptable, given that there's a supermarket across the street.
The 6-bed dorm is the only shared room in the entire hostel, so obviously not much focus were on community. Room is a tad too small and beds were uncomfortable.
Compact little room with e erything I needed
