Pros: The host, Yoko, was so friendly and accommodating. She really puts in extra effort to make her guests feel comfortable and happy. Yoko's house is in an excellent location to the Happo-one ski gondola, only about a 5-minute walk. The house has a very cozy feeling. We stayed in a private room and the beds were very comfortable. There was a private spa bathtub, great for after a long day of skiing. The breakfast was very delicious! I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thanks for the great stay, Yoko! Pros: Everything was great. Yoko was incredible, she picked us up from the bus station and took us to do some groceries. Gave us loads of info on the area which made it so much easier getting around. The bath is a lifesaver after a long day snowboarding.

Pros: The host, Yoko, was so friendly and accommodating. She really puts in extra effort to make her guests feel comfortable and happy. Yoko's house is in an excellent location to the Happo-one ski gondola, only about a 5-minute walk. The house has a very cozy feeling. We stayed in a private room and the beds were very comfortable. Pros: 5/5. Such a nice home-like atmosphere. Staying here felt like being part of the family (both among the guests and especially among the host family who run and live at the hostel). We were treated so nicely. Being welcomed along on the grocery store run and driven to the station at the end of the trip makes you really feel cared for in a way I haven't experienced at any accommodation I've stayed in, let alone a very affordable hostel that's surrounded by beautiful snowy streets and walking distance to the slopes. We will be back again. 100%

Pros: The owners were such a lovely, gentle and friendly family. They drove me to my bus after checking out and they do grocery store trips every now and then. The kitchen facilities are excellent with plenty of space. The hostel is nice and clean also, a great place for a solo skier to stay!!

Cons: There was someone snoring really loudly throughout the night but that’s something you risk staying in a dorm.

Cons: The staff are so lovely and help you with anything, I went in winter for snow boarding, the owners helped set up lessons, lift passes and even ask if I wanted to go to he grocery store. K’s is so homey and comfortable.

Cons: Don't stay there if you're after a party vibe - this wasn't what we were after, so it was fine, but just be aware.

Cons: Probably would be good to have a space, besides the dorms which could be crowded, to eat stuff not provided by the hostel? I completely understand the need to prioritise their local food service but in fully occupied dorms things can be messy.

Pros: Shuttle server is great. The pickup and drop off from the station and the resorts are very convenient. Vibe in the common area is also amazing. You get to meet a lot of interesting people.
Cons: Dorm can be a little messy where people just leave stuff in the middle of the room, since there isn't a dedicated space to store suitcase or large bags.

Pros: The staff! How helpful and friendly they were, making one’s life easier and at all times willing to give a hand - especially Cameron and Malena. The common areas are also nice, and the hot tub is amazing! The house is or seems very new and is overall very clean. The breakfast (which I think is always included) is also very good.
Cons: The beds in the dorm could have a tiny curtain to cover oneself for just a little privacy. Some basic rules could be applied to the dorm in terms of cleanness as some people left clothes thrown on the floor the middle of the dorm. I found that the price was a little too much for 2 beds in a dorm, but I’m not sure if this is common to all accommodation in Hakuba. However the hostel does help with everything you need so in the end the good service compensates de price.
