Hotel Historic

The hotel was tastefully decorated, with old world themes, and marvellous wooden furniture. Spacious and well-appointed bathroom. The location was perfect for seeing the old quarter. The lady at reception was very helpful in arranging a taxi to the station in the early morning.

Historic centre

1. Location is good BUT... take the taxi otherwise you will have to go with the luggage up hundreds of steps. The neighborhood of the Cathedral is great BUT... the bells ring every half an hour. At 7 o'clock it rings 150 +3 times so you won't oversleep the breakfast. 2. Breakfast starts at 8.30. So you have plenty of time to be prepared for it. Breakfast is usual. You won't stay hungry, but it is not what you are expecting from 4 stars hotel. 3. The room is not small. Rocky walls and floor. No slippers. Take you own with you. No teapot. Empty minibar. No bar in the hotel. The fridge didn't work and was not clean. Bed wasn't very comfortable. One pillow. It seemed like legs were higher than head. Audio system didn't work 4. But you can not pay attention on all these minuses if the price is reasonable. But when you pay 150 euro for a night for 2 persons you expect different level of comfort.

A comfortable hotel in the midst of the old town with a roof terrace for rooms on the top floor.

Directions are required if you have a car. GPS is unreliable and you can’t take the car to the door of the hotel but have to set bags down in a square at the University and wheel the suitcases up a hill. Even reaching the square is a mission due to a complex network of limited access roads. I suggest a careful route plan before you set out.
