Pros: Very nice, clean, quiet and safe area to accommodate with plenty of commuting choices. Even by walking the city center and the old town is very close (approx. 10 min. walking). The hotel exceeded my expectations with cool infrastructure, free pool, sauna & jacuzzi use, spa choices, very nice bar & restaurant with garden and plenty of breakfast choices (Polish, English & French breakfast buffet). The room was very comfy and large with a super nice view to the river and plenty of sun to get into it when I opened up the curtains. It was also very clean and towels & bed sheets were changed every day. 24/7 receptionists helped to any of my requests. I would definitely visit again this hotel if I travel to Gdansk in the future.

Cons: The carpet was dirty enough to smell for many hours even after I had opened the room windows. The remote of the TV couldn't turn it off and it also didn't have a sleep timer, so every time I wanted to turn it off I had to stand up to do it by hand.

Cons: I and my friend we have booked a massage at the hotel SPA and weren't very happy with it. It seemed like the masseur was very inexperienced. Her hands were shaking which ended up feeling rather stressful than relaxing. But it's something that they can for sure improve in the future.

Cons: Staff at breakfast. Time for breakfast was said until 11:00am. AT 11:00am, a young lady (who was working there) asked us to leave the premises. We heard, but continued eating, as we needed maybe 5 to 10 minutes to finish (we had arrived there around 10:30am). In approximately 1 minute another young lady came to us and asked us to leave immediately, using a non-amicable tone of voice. We felt they were very rude. On the next day, same behavior. Also, they kept making strong noise behind a bar, working with cups, plates, glasses, cutlery and other kitchen items that are usually dealt with inside a kitchen. The noise was very loud, which made the experience quite unpleasant.

Cons: it was total chaotic at breakfast - the staff were sitting in the backoffice talking private while several guests were waiting to be served at the bar.. they only showed up when the nice receptionist called for them.. and another thing... everything was in Polish - you should really look closely to find anything written in English or German (menucards, writing on blackboards about days offers / baroffers etc.).. we have stayed at many Ibis-hotels around Europe and in all of them everything was in native language, English and German/French etc.. we just wondered as this is to be an international chain of hotels?!

It is right next to two of the three shared showers (for which there are lines in the morning), which are quite loud. Also loud were the drunk French children who sang in the shower at 3am, and the restaurant below us which played booming music with irregular bass beginning at 7am (on Satuday). Bottom line: this place is fine if you're looking for an adequate hostel and loud is ok. But not otherwise.

Pros: Lovely hotel on the Vilnius River in Gdansk. It has the added bonus in the summer months of a little boat trip around the waterways of Gdansk. The breakfast was amazing and set you up for a day of sight-seeing. Very near the old town, about 10 minutes walk but nicely removed so it was not noisy at night. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons: The hotel doesn't feel like 4 star and costs too much for what they offer. The room is was very basic and some things didn't work: shower head didn't stay up on the pole but kept sliding, water kept switching between hot and cold, the ceiling light didn't switch off completely and made us feel like in twilight zone, and the bed didn't feel clean. We found a long hair under a pillow.

Small fridge stopped working properly in the middle of the night and the gas from the fridge got out. I had to get out from the room because we couldnt breath with two small kids. The day before I’ve informed team leader in the reception about the problems with the fridge. I told her that the fridge in hot inside but she didnt do anything with that. Really dissapointed of 4* hotel.

Cons: Small room, the bed was beside a wall which made getting down from it not so comfortable. Sun blinds were not that wide to cover the entire length of the window. Also the soundproofing of the room was very poor. You could hear other guests clearly in the shower. The shower cabin door did not close properly, a lot of water ending up on the floor. No air conditioning in the room, although we didn’t need it because the weather was a bit cold at night, even for August.

Pros: The warm and genuine welcome from the Manager. The location was excellent as was the breakfast. The room well designed, compact but most acceptable.
Cons: The absence of a lift meant guests on the 3rd floor (as we were) needed to have a stong pair of legs and lungs.

Pros: The location is excellent, just on the edge of the old town, very close to the central trains station and bus station. The hostel was super clean and really nicely decorated. This was actually the best hostel I have ever stayed in and the price was superb, will definitely stay again if I'm back in Gdańsk again.

Pros: Very good localisation, literally 5min walk from the central railway & bus stations, the shopping centre, and the beautiful, magnificent old town. Furthermore, the hostel personnel is nice, the interior modern and esthetically pleasing, the breakfast is cheap and tasty, and they just can't be beaten on price.

Cons: There is 50pln (£10) deposit which you need to pay IN CASH for the Key deposit which if you ask for you will hear sad story from the owner about people not returning the keys and how much will it cost him to replace the locks. Key cards do not work so prepare yourself for couple visits done to reception to reset them. No free lockers in the room, there are spare ones downstairs but that means you have to run up and down. No working internet anywhere than in the lobby. Smelly rooms (or other people)

Cons: Very uncomfortable beds, loud and squeaky, very hot inside the room, windows were shut but no curtains to help with the brightness, bathroom lights are constantly going off during shower (good initiative to save energy but poorly implemented).

Cons: Cleanness of the room could be better. There is movable stairs to going to upper capsules. Ok you attach one to go to your capsule. Then someone else needs it and and moves it. How you come down without stairs ? (Though i had down capsule but in general, how does such even work ?) Pillow is not really a pillow. It's like a 1/3 of a real pillow, very thin, flat thing.

Cons: A little bit more pans, pots, crockery and flatware would be nice in that perfectly equipped kitchen. Ans just a hint: it is useless to put a dishwasher and the tell people to wash their own dishes, they don't. So, either throw it out or wash the dishes in there, because as it is, it is useless and not hygienic either.

Cons: The place seems a bit disorganized. For example, even though the beds and lockers are numbered they are miles apart, so your locker might be across the room and someone else's will be next to yours... Also, the beds are not assigned to you at the check in, leaving you a bit confused, and you might find someone else in your bed when you get back to the hostel. Finally, the toilets and all the glass surfaces need more attention... Other than that, I liked this place and it has a lot of potential, like a young student after party...
