Gorgeous lake view from the room, and great view of Mt Fuij from the rooftop and the open air onsen. Every bath is different which makes it interesting.
The open air onsen doesn't have showering facilities. Realised that some guests had dinner in their rooms, but wasn't aware that this was an option.
Everything was greatfrom the moment we arrive at kawaguchiko station. They provide free shuttle upon calling the hotel. Once we arrive, we were ushered to the check in counter and the staff explained everything in details. Then we were offered a complimentary authentic green tea and snack before going to our room. The staff were very attentive and they explain every single step from our room amenities up to the delicious kaiseki dinner course . I particularly like the room clerk japanese uncle who came into our room to help lay the futon. He tried to explain the meaning behind a japanese futon even though we struggle to understand. And the room view, was breathtaking even though it’s facing the lake during winter. Tips: Upon check in, ask for the private onsen as you need to reserved the 30 mins slot.
I loved this place from the start until the end. I went with my friend and we had a lovely stay. We were picked up from the station and were welcomed with tea and a snack. The staff were professional and friendly. The facilities were excellent, with 4 different onsens that were all accessible at some point during our stay (they rotate between use for men and women). The views from the onsen were fantastic! Dinner was served in our room and then bed was made for us afterwards. There were several time slots for the bus back to the station at check out which was useful. An excellent stay, would definitely recommend.
I can't think of any negatives!
The location is absolutely stunning with amazing views of Mt. Fuji and located directly on the lake. The staff is amazingly friendly, helpful and kind! Loved loved loved our stay!
