Quiet with beautiful garden close to all amenities and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend
Breakfast is terrible
The front desk staff were consistently helpful, friendly and cheerful during my entire 4-night stay there. My room had an astonishing view of the majestic Apuan Alps. It was the most comfortable room I’ve had in Italy.Modern bathroom.Mechanized shutters should one want to block out all light. Double paned windows. The area around the hotel was so quiet I was able to sleep with the windows open. The hotel has a huge number of bicycles for rent, which most everyone in Forte dei Marmi uses to get around. The hotel ,like most of F.D.M. Is stuck in the ‘50’s/60’s/‘70’s -which is a good part of the town’s charm. The hotel appears to be family -managed,and well -managed at that.
Breakfast did not measure up to the high standards elsewhere in the hotel.Missing were any foods for which Italy is well known. There was :Canned peaches and plums, soaked in high-fructuse syrup.Sugary, cheap American-style cereals(corn flakes,coco-puffs and another). Very little nutritional food.No oatmeal,no baked beans,no almond or peanut butters,no dried fish,no almonds,no walnuts,no pecans,no fruit cocktail ,etc.Everything seemed cheap. The pastries were not the ones for which Italy is well known, but were the type of wrapped -in- plastic pastries one finds in discount stores. Even the pumpkin seeds were made in China, and had a thick shiny preservative coating (but in fairness those were the only pumpkin seeds available in local stores). They did offer soy milk, which was appreciated, but all the milks and yogurt sit out under-refrigerated from 7:30-10:30 am ,and then go back in the fridge until the next morning. Two mornings out of 4 the soy milk was spoiled, probably due to lack of refrigeration.
It was not our first visit, but we decided to come back because we love this place, feel just like home and "Forte dei Marmi" is an amazing spot for a weekend. Thank you so much! We'll be back most certainly
it is all the time a pleasure to come to this hotel with friendly staff, renew rooms, closed to the beach as well as the city center
