Food was very good, both at dinner and at breakfast. Service in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel was in a convenient location and we had stunning views over the loch, as promised on the booking.com website. Nice, quiet lounge with a good variety of books and board games suitable for family use.
Breakfast was not included and this was not made clear on the booking.com website. There was no facility to have a room tab: we had to pay separately for our evening meal and then again for breakfast. The building is old and has been undergoing some refurbishment, which is generally quite tastefully done. However, it does clearly still have some problems with damp in places. Some of the windows had been screwed shut, which meant that one of our rooms was quite stuffy, especially with the hot weather.
-free parking -the view of the loch is really beautiful -good hygienic products (shampoo and soap)
-one of our two rooms was not cleaned for the second day. The bath in this room was also not super clean. (they didn’t even put more toilet paper in the toilet) -the staff was not helpful for recommending places to see or things to do in the area -there is no fridge in the rooms. -for the same price, we had one room with the view on the loch and one room which had not an entire view on the loch
The food was delicious, the rooms were big and had amazing views of the loch, staff were really helpful and friendly.
Garden needs attention - could be lovely if it got attention. Property needs updating - in my room there was mould on the wall behind the tv and the wallpaper was coming away from the wall. In the bathroom there was a rusty metal stand to put your things on. Easy to replace and improve.
