Pros: This is a relatively modern clean hotel. The rooms are well decorated with all you need. Bed comfortable and bathroom clean.
Cons: No restaurant but next door there is a Roadhouse Grill
Pros: Polite staff. Excellent price for what we wanted. Fabulous coffee machine at breakfast!
Cons: The room was very hot but that was probably the only negative thing about the hotel!
Pros: quiet, clean, friendly staff
Cons: A longish walk to center city.
Pros: Breakfast was good. Employees were friendly. Room was cleaned.
Cons: It was warm (28celsius) in the room and could not get the AC out. We could not sleep well so we had to open the window (not ideal considering it is located on an industrial area) Location is not the best side of the city
Pros: Staff, rooms, good breakfast, clean
Cons: Location, neighbourhood, dark parking place, far from centre and restaurants
Pros: It was new and modern network hotel, with plenty of parking place around, not far from town's center. Quite good breakfast, helpful staff. No annoying crowds of cinese tourists. The receptionist changed one of our rooms as per our complaint to the bad hot water regulation of the tap in the shower cabin. And they did not charge us a 5 euro of city tax.
Cons: Hotel adjacent to the refinery. Noisy street. We asked that our rooms were close to each other but the administration did not respect our request although the hotel was almost empty. We lived on different levels.
Located in Ferrara, B&B Hotel Ferrara is within a 5-minute drive of Fiera di Ferrara and National Museum of Italian Judaism and Shoah. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable.Super wifi. The staff was very kind and helpful.
Cons: The shower was too small and the shower doors a little bit broken, as a result the floor was wet because of the water. There were just 2 sockets that were working and 4 USB plugins broken.
Pros: Good location
Cons: Customer Service could be better
Pros: The hotel was comfortable and clean . It is located 10 few minutes driveing from the center. They is shopping mall just few minutes form the hotel .
Cons: Breakfast cost 7 € and it was limited.
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: No fridge in the room and tiny shower
Pros: Everything was clean and relatively new. Bed was fine, and bathroom was big enough and new.
The central Mercure Ferrara Hotel offers an excellent solution for business or leisure stays, welcoming its guests in charming environments. The structure has different types of rooms, all finely furnished and equipped with every comfort, some with a suggestive view of the Castello Estense. The suites offer private wellness facilities with whirlpool or chromotherapy and relaxation area for unique stays.
Pros: Very good Hotel in Ferrara City Center and very clean.
Cons: The parking options
Pros: The room 108 is quite. The bathroom is big. The breakfast is located in the restaurant (Da Giovanni) near by. The hotel is just next to the Estense Castle, the symbol of the city. So, if you plan to have a walk in the city cetre, you might not find a better location...
Cons: Room 108 designed for disable. But the room and the premises should be receive better care and maintenance. The room entry door is touching the floor. And it does this since (the floor has scratches). If you arrive by car, be aware that no parking is available (just along the road)….
Pros: 1) Excellent location - right in the centre, facing the castle. 2) Style and interior of the hotel is really nice. 3) When we checked out, staff (not same staff as during check-in) was very friendly.
Cons: 1) Bad acoustic isolation: whenever our neighbour made phone calls or put on the TV, we could hear everything (even if he wasn't making excessive noise). 2) The room was too hot, with temperature difficult to control (it was February and we had to open the windows). 3) At check-in, the staff initially didn't find our booking. When booking, we had asked for a quiet room, with a view on the castle. We got a room not facing the castle and next to the elevator (+ see also point 1)
Pros: The personnel working in the hotel was nothing special, except for the waitress attending the small cafeteria. Besides as respectful and competent she is delightful and kind as well. The location is perfect
Cons: Relationship between price and quality is not balanced at all. The services the hotel offers are not consistent with the price you pay for. Breakfast is scarce and limited; Rooms are small in spite of the fact I was lodge in a premium one; If you want to have a coffee in the morning do you have to pay the hole price of breakfast [€10]; cafeteria is not open on daily basis. At-large it doesn’t worth what you pay for it.
Cons: the rooms themselves are more like a 3 star hotel in fact the mercure has a hotel in Lublin that i stay at which is almost identical and is 3 star
Pros: The location!! Our room looked right out on the d’Este castle!!! Oh my!!!
With a stay at Hotel Duchessa Isabella in Ferrara, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Piazza Ariostea and Giovanni Boldini Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Definitely not a 5 star hotel! Breakfast selection rather poor.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent
Cons: Having read other reviews, I had higher expectations for my room. Unfortunately, I was in a room which had a musty smell and while the decor was in keeping with the style, it felt to me to be a “spillover” room, small and in a little annex. I had booked the hotel as it had been at a discounted rate.
Pros: Great staff and good location.
Cons: The restaurant was closed throughout the stay for refurbishing . No air con due to the time if year, but it was 26c during the day and 21c at night! Made the room sweltering hot
Pros: The Duchessa Isabella Hotel is a nice cosy place to stay in Ferrara. It's location is very good as it takes only 5-8 minutes to walk to all main attractions: the castle, the cathedral, Pinacoteca, etc. There is a little SPA at the hotel with Turkish bath, sauna, jacuzzi; the restaurant although was not operational, looked impressive. Our special compliments to the receptionist Dalila, whose friendliness lightened our stay.
Cons: The continental breakfast was not the one to praise.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my time there
Cons: There was NOT in house parking I had to park on the streets – meanwhile it was offered on the site and also it was mandatory for me when I chose this hotel. Staff said you can park one or two corner away for free – that was their effort only.
Pros: Room was ok, not more and overrated, certainly no 4-5 stars.
Cons: The breakfirst was horrible. Nothing special. Poor choice. For a 4-5 star hotel to less. We stayed at christmas: nothing special made by the hotel at these daya. The eggs are horible also the bacon. The so called self baked stuff is from the bakery from the other side pf the street or supermarket. Not fresh anyway. So we had paid for breakfirst, I have skipped it.
A stay at Hotel Orologio places you in the heart of Ferrara, within a 10-minute walk of Via delle Volte and National Museum of Italian Judaism and Shoah. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and express check-in. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Excellent stay in a pleasant city. Good breakfast , nice large rooms, easy location , but see the downside below for the free parking we had here.
Cons: All a bit overshadowed by a break-in on our car, some trivial stuff was stolen, but processing it and getting our window fixed takes a lot off effort. Just the day we need to move 200KM's and no help is available, as it is sunday. Nothing the hotel can help i suppose, but it is something to be aware off. One foreign car outside the hotel and this one get's it's windows smashed.
Pros: Property was nice very large room. Free parking. Very friendly staff.
Cons: Not much around the hotel more of a residential area.
Pros: The lighting system was faulty. The room is dark due to no central light. The rest room is too compact with no room to move around.
Pros: Love the decor. Felt like an old timely lodge but super clean. Bath tub! They offered a free shuttle into the center of the city every half hour at night, but it was still only a 15 minute walk into the old town. They had bikes available to use. Breakfast was good but not great. Accommodated late check out. Free parking!
Cons: Two small mattresses instead of one large mattress.
Located in Ferrara, Hotel Daniela is in the suburbs, within a 10-minute drive of Fiera di Ferrara and Via delle Volte. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: No buses around in the evening
Pros: Breakfast small but OK. Personal was ok. I was satisfied. Parking ok.
Cons: Better breakfast. I was there only little time. Only for one night
Pros: The cleanliness wasn’t very comfort especially if you are travelling with kids , in my opinion I don’t think it’s suitable for kids
Cons: The hotel staff does not speak English. Breakfast in the hotel means one croissant per person with coffee. The croissant is tasty, but if you are paying breakfast, it should be bigger and have more food to choose. The personal of the hotel does not smile, you feel that you are a nuisance. I regret that we did not choosed another hotel in Ferrara.
Pros: Wi-fi speed, good value for money.
Cons: Small room, a bit far away from the centre
Pros: Good on the road, nice pizzeria and service next, friendly personal, free parking at the backyard.
Cons: There’s a plantage of mold in the bathroom and disgusting odor of mold in the room. Having a shower is the best way to get some infection.
Cons: No WI-fi, parking place not secure (no video camera , no defined place to park), room full of dust, toilet almost touching the door

Pros: Walking distance at the old town area and very near to our fave japanese restaurant
Cons: the creepy picture frame on the headboard
Pros: The rooms were clean. There is a carpark nearby but it isn't free. The location was close to city center.
Cons: Breakfast is taken in a shop next door run by the same staff and is a minimalistic affair. The bread was stale and not much to choose from. The rooms are dark.
Pros: Very nice and friendly staff. Clean, nice, fragrant. I give 1000 points out of 10. room 2002
Pros: I liked everything
Cons: Nice place
Cons: Everything is old and used. Rooms smelled badly... cleanliness is not the strong point of the property
Pros: Good location just inside the walls of the old town
Cons: The room smelled of smoke. there was a dead pigeon outside the window, loose electrical wires in the bathroom, dirty, tatty and generally unpleasant. The staff didn't care about our complaints and did nothing to offer a refund or discount.
Pros: We had a one night stay staff and room was ok. Had safe storage for our bikes. Good value for money.
Cons: Breakfast was average but very adequate for the price.
Pros: The room was very different from the pictures show in web-site. The room door was brocken. Strange people were located in the hotel. The receptionist was inquietant.

Pros: Breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and spoke English.
Pros: My room had a balcony which had a beautiful view, plus smoking is allowed in the balcony
Cons: In the sanitary kit that hotels in Italy provide, would be good to have a small tube of tooth paste
With a stay at Alloggio Cavour, you'll be centrally located in Ferrara, just a 5-minute walk from Via delle Volte and 8 minutes by foot from Castle Estense. Featured amenities include express check-out and luggage storage.
Pros: Location. Very cheap.

Pros: An owner is quick responding. Calm place. Train station not far away
Cons: A little bit far away from the center.
Pros: The AC and cleanliness
Cons: Reception is in a different building, but not a terrible thing
Pros: Location AND price
Cons: No breakfast. But ok. The qute bar is right outside the place so...
Pros: It was cheap but still not what I expected The location was good once you actually were able to find it
Cons: It was really airB & B and you had to arrange to be there at a certain time to collect the key The single room was small and pokey A lot of noise at night with people coming and going Did not feel safe and locked the door Was woken twice in the night with people trying to get in with their key

Pros: Good as always
Pros: Good location and very comfy bed. Friendly and very helpful staff. Would stay again.
Cons: Shower riser rail needed attention.
Pros: Very good position near the Castle, at walking distance from major touristic attractions

Pros: The Breakfast is good! The crew is sympatic, and the parking lot is free.
Cons: Hotel not so new, the price was extremely high because a show that was happening in town. So definitely it haven't corresponded with my expectations.
Pros: the position
Cons: the hotel was dark, few lights. the personel was without remarks, the hot water was cold and the rooms noisy.
Pros: It's in the middle of the city center and the expo center, so quite convenient if you want to visit both.
Pros: At first I was disappointed that I hadn't been able to book a hotel inside the city center but this hotel turned out to be within an easy bus ride or ambitious walk to the center. I liked the access to the newer amenities in the city like the giant mall il Castello and Globo while still being able to access the historic center easily. Plus it was an easy walk to a nearby supermarket.
Cons: I did not like that the cost of the room did not include breakfast, or that bicycles weren't provided for guests. Bicycles are a big feature of visiting Ferrara. The concierge said that they could arrange a bicycle rental for me but I have stayed in hotels that offer them gratis and I think given the commute to the antique city center, and the prevalence of bicycles and bicycle paths throughout the city, this hotel should have offered the use of them. Also, there were no signs to put on the door knob to keep housekeeping informed of whether or not I needed/wanted services.
Cons: the bedroom was very little, With a single bed. the TV was a cathode ray tube. the sheets were full of mites (at 02.30. a.m. I had to get the sheets changed.
A stay at Hotel Corte Estense places you in the heart of Ferrara, steps from Via delle Volte and 2 minutes by foot from Cathedral Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect, right next to Ferrara's main square and the Christmas market. The room was perfectly clean, the staff was lovely and breakfast was overall quite nice. We also booked a spot in the hotel's parking which is near the hotel, not the easiest to reach but the hotel staff explained everything perfectly.
Cons: The room was very hot and we couldn't manage to lower it in the middle of the night, not the hotel's fault but I would recommend the staff to check the overall temperature in the rooms.
Pros: The location was wonderful, the nearby garage. The housekeepers and most staff were very nice
Cons: The room smelled of a too strong perfume. The gal at the reception desk was not terribly friendly or welcoming. She seemed unhappy.
Pros: Great little gem of a hotel in perfect location. Lovely room and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing to report.
Pros: The location is good, the property is clean, breakfast is fair.
Cons: The staff isn't the smartest and kindest ever. Internet connection went down because of works, so I could not pay by card.
Pros: Great location in the heart of the Old City. There were Palio competitors rehearsing and competing within a block of the hotel. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff was very attentive. We needed to leave on the last day well before the normal breakfast time, and the staff made sure we had coffee and something to eat before our 0530 taxi.
Pros: Comfortable bed, great breakfast, ideal central location, pleasant helpful staff
Cons: Pillows were lumpy, bathroom was too dark
Pros: Very central location, friendly and helpful staff, good-sized rooms, secure car park, nice breakfast buffet - all in all, great value!

Pros: Really comfortable stay. We will definitely return. Great location . Staff were friendly and had time for you. Especially Massimo who was on the night shift had so much knowledge and we learnt such a lot. Thank you for a lovely stay. Next time we would probably go for a bigger room .Great

Pros: Lots of free parking, close to the city. Quiet, clean, large room. The people at reception were pleasant and spoke good English. A book on the area is presented on check-in along with a map of Ferrara. The bed was comfortable, the shower was small but adequate size with lots of hot water and water pressure. There are no window screens but the air conditioning worked well. We did not have the breakfast.
Cons: There was smell of cigarettes in the hallway in the morning.
Pros: The breakfast
Pros: Parking was big enough
Cons: - On check-in reception guy was almost too polite and try to show us everything what was a bit of annoy. - Breakfast room is too public. Every time that you go to the room or to restaurant you need to go throw breakfast room. - Nothing to eat for breakfast! Only sweet goods and 8 pcs of ham and 4 pcs of cheese. No milk, no yogurt to drink, only fruit yogurt. You need to drink from plastic glasses (juice). No eggs, nothing hot to eat. - On the toilet light was turn on all the night (you couldn't turn it off). You receive 2 waters in minibars that is very loud. - Wi-FI is not working at all. - I have bigger screen for my computer then TV was in the room. - Bed was to soft. - Due to family emergency we had to left one night early, we understand that we choose non-refundable room, but if you get 65eur per night without city tax. Don't ask to pay 5eur of city tax since we left you 65eur for room that we didn't use for 1 night.

Pros: - Awesome breakfast, with a lot of selection and, above all, delicious croissants. Also, the breakfast room is very elegant, just as the reception, with their antique and stylish furniture. - WI-FI working well and fast. - Wide free parking.
Cons: - No power sockets next to bed.
Pros: Kind staff, clean and comfortable room, very good breakfast. The location is out of the city but there's a bus to reach the downtown in 20 minutes.
Pros: Parking right in front of the hotel entrance.
Cons: Shower door bottom was very rusty. Breakfast was fine, but there is some space for improvement, as i t was somewhat basic, There was no hot food on the breakfast buffet.
Pros: Great value for money hotel. Free parking. Good for travelers who pass by through Ferarra. Excellent communication!
Pros: The room location environment and the worker. They are really nice.

Pros: Nice and cosy small hotel few minutes walk from the city centre of Ferrara. The staff was very friendly. With my girlfriend we have been impressed by the breakfast, really good!
Pros: Excellent hotel, very clean, nice breakfast. Fabrizia, the receptionist, is very kind and helpful.
Cons: I liked everything. Just to say something our room was located on a third floor after two floors by lift and one through stairs.
Pros: Great location, breakfast was very nice..! Room was very spacious..!
Pros: The room was spacious and looked exactly like on the pictures. Location excellent
Cons: There was no minibar (mini fridge) in the room even thought it was stated on the booking site that there is one. Apparently there is no mini bar in the entire hotel. Thanks for that booking! The female receptionist does not know any English and is rude , the male knows some and is nicer to the guests. Bed kept sliding to the floor, the heating was on in the bathroom the entire night. It is true - you get what you pay
Pros: Located a short walk from the Duomo, Hotel San Romano has every modern convenience. Because the street is pedestrian only, no street noise kept us up at night. Don't miss the bread shop a couple of doors down, which has wonderful pasticcio!
Pros: Budget accommodation in the center of Ferrara. Very convenient for browsing the old town. Basic breakfast. Comfortable and clean room.

Cons: Couldn't access the heating . I slept with my hoodie on me
Pros: Nice place, clean rooms. Everything was working perfectly. I have not any problem
Pros: everything clean very nice decor nice people
Pros: Very cosy and well maintained Italian house! In the middle of nature and 10 minutes driving to center, waking up here makes you happy :) They suggested me local restaurants (with adress/map/meal information on paper) And the lady gave me a local wine as a present which made me feel super emotional! Thanks for everything!
Pros: Nice staff, good wifi. Some space to play with a kid in the garden. Quiet area. Clean room.
Cons: Check-in till 8 p.m. If we had come after 8 we'd have to pay a high fee for a late check-in. I don't understand it because there was always someone in there from the staff. Breakfast was modest (but quite tasty).
With a stay at Piazza Nova Guest House in Ferrara, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Jewish Cemetery and Piazza Ariostea.
Pros: This is a wonderful hotel! We were graciously accommodated with a later than normal arrival to Piazza Nova where we were met by the owner's father who provided a nice welcome. The room was spacious with a full kitchen - including the most delicious homemade chocolate cake we've ever had. We took advantage of the free bicycles and found that to be a fun way to see Ferrara. The location is most ideal; you are just steps from the incredible park and a free parking lot is just a block away. There is also a neat birreria a few doors down. I would stay here again and highly recommend it for all travelers!

Pros: Quiet and relaxing holiday. Breakfast and Sunday Brunch delicious. Pool immaculate. Room cleaned everyday and finally hosts were outstanding they couldn't do enough for us. Definitely one to visit!!
Pros: Friendly hosts who gave us a warm welcome and some valuable suggestions. Pool area is great to relax. Air conditioned room.

Cons: It all all perfect.
Pros: Very beautiful location, good food; Wonderful to relax! Thank you!
Pros: Friendly host that made some good suggestions. Large and comfortable room. Good breakfast in a very nice setting. Parking at the edge of the city at a 10 min. drive.
Pros: We stayed for just one night on the way back from Bressanone to Rome and as soon as we saw the place, wished we were staying for longer. Our room was huge with very comfortable beds and everything we needed. The pool was a lovely unexpected bonus, a good size and like everything else, super clean. Paulo was the perfect host and his enthusiasm for and knowledge of the property and his family’s home was great. Although we didn’t have time to really make us of the grounds we are really looking forward to returning and spending a little more time exploring Ferrara. So pleased we found this gem!
Pros: Beautiful agriturismo with very friendly and helpful hosts. Very clean rooms. Good breakfast.
Pros: Location just outside of Ferrara, swimming-pool, breakfast, cleanliness.
Located in Ferrara, Alla Cedrara agriturismo is within a 15-minute drive of Fiera di Ferrara and Parish of the Nativity. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The owners were lovely! Very hard working and very accommodating! And the property is away from the town, but close enough to get to within 20 minutes. Our room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. Breakfast offered coffee, tea, breads, yogurt, local cakes, cereals, juice, fruit and salami. Nice way to start the day! A very popular restaurant in the area, La Stella, was a 3 minute drive and we ate there all 3 nights. Great experience! It was delicious and reasonable. Try the fish soup! Seemed like many locals are there because after the second night, I began to recognize some faces:-)
Cons: The Wifi was spotty at the property.
Pros: The quiet location. The fact your cloths which you leave on a chair are hang back up in the closet. The short distance to the exhibition centre and town centre. Not more than 15 minutes by car to both.
Pros: The room and bed are generous in size. The people are friendly although my ignorance of Italian made it difficult.
Cons: The only minor issue was that the wifi did not work in our room.
Pros: Wonderful place . Nice quite family run place . There is great restaurant La Stalla near the property , with very best pizza I have ever eaten. Mast try :-)
