9.6 Excellent
Pros: amazing breakfast, wide variety, fresh, plenty of it
Cons: air conditioning could've been more powerful, though I did go during a heatwave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: L'Ippogrifo is beautifully decorated with generously sized rooms. We stayed there last week on our family trip to Italy. It is in prime location just steps away from reaturants and old city sights. It was perfect for spending a day in Ferrara. The breakfast selection was very very good. Even picky kids could find enough to eat. Tiny doughnuts were especially popular ;) The best part though was the amazing and friendly service ! This place is a gem!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This B&B is in an old house very close to the city centre in an excellent location. The rooms are stylishly furnished and a good size - ours had a kitchenette. The highlight of this B&B is the breakfast - there was a fantastic array of home baked cakes and pastries to sample, with different items each day.
Cons: Breakfast was slightly crowded as there wasn't enough room for all the guests to eat at once - but it was worth the wait!
Hotel Torre della Vittoria 1928 - Ferrara
2
9.4 Excellent (604 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Torre della Vittoria 1928 places you in the heart of Ferrara, steps from Ferrara Cathedral (Basilica Cattedrale di San Giorgio) and Cathedral Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic, with a view looking directly across the old cathedral. The breakfast was also good, taking place on a third floor terrace that overlooks the main piazza and the bustling, early morning crowd. Where the hotel excels far beyond its competitors, however, is its incredibly friendly staff. They went out of their way to assist us with several issues not related to the stay. Overall, an excellent option for anyone visiting Ferrara!
Cons: The A/C was a little weak and the temp went as high as 106 during the day. It was still 100 at 10:00pm, so that didn't help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view from the room. Very helpful and friendly staff who provided a welcome pack and an umbrella when it rained.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful position, right in front of the cathedral. Very good breakfast (with typical cakes from Ferrara). The staff was super helpful and nice.

Pros: The location of my room could not have been better with a superlative view over the cathedral and main piazza. Breakfast on the open terrace was a pleasure.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: friendly greeting from all staff, very efficient check in and out, upgraded with spectacular view of castle and centre of city, which is very quiet at night.
Cons: Hotel is on 3rd floor and doorbell instructions are only in Italian and difficult to understand.

7.9 Good
Pros: Location, excellent breakfast, private safe parking nearby.
Cons: We booked two rooms. One was excellent (107), but the other (104) smelled unpleasant. There is a mold in both showers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having holidayed in Italy at least annually for the last 20 years and stayed in many 4star hotels this was by far the most generous and varied breakfast buffet we have ever enjoyed. The owners do not skimp on anything; so many little touches that make a hotel extra special are to be found at the Annunziata.
Cons: Nothing really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were excellent , the location ideal and the staff very helpful - exactly why we came back for a second stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely breakfast with lots of choice and nice touches. clean, sizeable, cool rooms.
Cons: Walk to the annex and no lift
8.3 Excellent
Pros: All was quite good. No real complaints.
Cons: They charged my card without giving me any opportunity to decide how I would like to pay (I got extra 25eur charge for currency change) and they were not too understanding and gentle in communication. But to be honest the reservation was pre-paid and they had the right to do that. Just not very nice about it. The coffee maker in the room is a cattle and some plastic cups - do not expect too much.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Friendly and welcoming. The place is very clean. Nice common area. Good AC in the room (needed since our window gave on a wall a few feet away). Breakfast at nearby cafe (paid by Zen) had excellent croissants.
Cons: No staff in the AM meant we had to improvise with left luggage and keys. Turned out fine.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was served on the basis of a vaucher in a near-by-a-small cafeteria. The choice was not too wide, but acceptable. The apartment was located in the city center, so everywhere was close. During the prevailing heat outside, the climate in the room was was very important, so air condition was ok.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Every day fresh bottled water, location, ac, warm welcome
Cons: Too soft bed, worse sound isolation
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly host, nice room in a great location. Breakfast was limited (coffee + croissant) but okay for us. We only stayed one night but after check out we could leave our bags in the common room The value for the money was perfect
Cons: the shower did not drain well and the water was not hot enough
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, hotel is just across Castello Estense di Ferrara. Even so that only the publick prking was available, thanks to the agreement that the hotel has with city, it is possible to park in nearby streats only for 3 EUR per day.
Cons: Rooms do not have good sound isolation. You can hear even the littlest sounds from corridor and other rooms. Towels were terrible and strange - more like bed sheets than actual towels. Also, from our room there was no view at all since half meter from our window was a wall.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The site, in the heart of the historic center.
Cons: The breakfast, very limited (albeit delicious) in a bar nearby.

Very helpful staff, assisting with luggage, tourist information, etc. Room features AC, bed, shower, all OK.
Cons: Some noise in the evening from the street below (people talking).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to center, very quit and bicycle Rental in the House!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has an excellent location in a pedestrian area of Ferrara, and all the sights can be reached on foot in few minutes. The room was very tidy with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the street. The bathroom was very spacious with a huge walk in shower. Breakfast was tasty. A fridge in the room is a bonus (especially during summer days). The hotel is very pet friendly and our dog really felt like at home. The hotel is locked in the evening and only guests can get in. The hotel garage parking is few blocks away in a very secure garage lot, but guests can drive car right to the hotel to unload and load the luggage. The only time you cannot do it is on the market day so you should check with the hotel the market day dates. Otherwise you'll end up carrying luggage through crowds for few blocks.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and very friendly and helpfull staff. Good size rooms.
Cons: Room could be cleaner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simplicity of town and not touristy at all. Very quite bike friendly town. We explore this town on our way from Venice to Florence and was great choice to explore with history
7.9 Good
Pros: Really pleased that we chose this hotel amongst a number of options in central Ferrara. The Nazionale's location is definitely its best feature. We were within walking distance (less than 5 mins) of the Duomo and the Castle in a beautiful historic quarter of the city. The room itself was clean and well-presented. The modern bathroom was great. Breakfast options were varied and tasty, with croissants and hams and cheeses, cereal and spreads. Highly recommended. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable with local recommendations, and let us leave luggage after checking out which was helpful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean and modern rooms! Great location in the centre of the city!
Cons: The breakfast room was very small, only 4 tables and the buffet had more to wish for!

Pros: We stayed for just one night on the way back from Bressanone to Rome and as soon as we saw the place, wished we were staying for longer. Our room was huge with very comfortable beds and everything we needed. The pool was a lovely unexpected bonus, a good size and like everything else, super clean. Paulo was the perfect host and his enthusiasm for and knowledge of the property and his family’s home was great. Although we didn’t have time to really make us of the grounds we are really looking forward to returning and spending a little more time exploring Ferrara. So pleased we found this gem!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: a nice building, close to the city center, aircondition, bikes for free
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: A boiler or small pot to make tea would be usefull
9.2 Excellent
Pros: What is not to like? Hostess is very friendly and takes time during check in to give you useful information about Ferrara and supermarkets close to the location. She also Location is in a quiet area, but still in walking distance (maybe 5 minutes) from the centre. Bus stop from/to the train station is a 5-10 minutes walk. Apartment was spacious, with comfortable couch and good shower. Small kitchen with microwave if you want to snack or heat some water (there is no tea kettle). The apartment is cleaned every day and that shows, it was all very neat. Breakfast was very extensive, lots of choice. The croissants and bread are fresh, even a bit warm if you are really enough. Aside from that there was also yoghurt, cereal and juice. There was always a little extra (like cake or muffins) which would change each day. The hostess insists on making the first cup of coffee (or cappuccino, or espresso) for you. Very good place to stay, it feels like home away from home.
Cons: Bed was just a bit too hard for my taste, but still comfortable enough. A tea kettle for boiling water would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The name! The peaceful location. The peace and quiet. The little kitchen was useful. The cycles in the yard. Cycling is the principal mode of transport in Ferrara.
Cons: The fact that the nearby Palazzo Schifanoia is now closed for restoration. No street view from our room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: You need to take a bus number 1, 6 or 9 from the train station Parco Pareschi and walk about 3 minutes. The bus ticket costs 1,3 euro in Tabacco kiosk or 1,5 euro in the bus. The room was quite big including the living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen corner. Kitchen had everything to cook.
Cons: The distance from the city center is about 20 min by foot, but the nearest food shop is quite far. I had a problem to manage a light especially in the dark corridor.

Pros: Extremely friendly staff in a great farmhouse. Wonderful room with comfortable bed and a great garden view. Also the advices on where to eat and drink were great. Surplus was the unasked ironing of my shirt. Service beyond the call of duty!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room and bed are generous in size. The people are friendly although my ignorance of Italian made it difficult.
Cons: The only minor issue was that the wifi did not work in our room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful place . Nice quite family run place . There is great restaurant La Stalla near the property , with very best pizza I have ever eaten. Mast try :-)
7.9 Good

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel. Better than many 4 stars hotels. Perfect location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice and clean, the other facilities were nice. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good.
Cons: Unfortunately I was put into an adjoining suite room (with attached door, locked of course) next to a family with a baby that screamed all night. I think the noise from the baby was increased because we had the adjoining door. I didn't get any sleep, which is a shame because otherwise the hotel was very nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was great !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Prototype of medium expensive hotel as it should be!
Cons: A little bit scare of lift entering garage with the car!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to the old town. Underground parking near the hotel. Large, quiet room, quality sleep. Very good breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is clean, quiet and in a great location. The Staff were very friendly, approachable and helpful. All in all its a good hotel.
Cons: The Hotel is good and I would recommend it. but needs some Improvements in the kitchen! The breakfast selection was a bit poor ( very limited options ) The bread looked old, the waffles were cold, no vegetables such as cucumber or tomatoes and most of the food didn't look fresh (The jam Tartes were good and looked fresh). This wasn't a big problem for us; as we were there only for one night as a resting stop from our round trip. I guess what was provided fitted the price we have paid.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly service and an underground parking 20m away from hotel entrance. We had a triple room, which was quiet, very clean and equipped with AC, mini-bar, safe, and water kettle. Ultra-clean bathroom was also a plus. The breakfast was great, too. Overall, better than many 4-star hotels we visited in Italy before!!
Cons: Not a fault of the hotel, but unfortunately, one of the side streets near the hotel was being renovated and there was a lot of noise from the construction site in the early morning.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The receptionists are nice, breakfast is ok.
Cons: One of the noisiest hotel I know. TV noise from the neighboring house entered my room like if there was no wall at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very good breakfast, comfortable room, super friendly staff, car parking provided as requested. If I come to Ferrara again, I will definitely look no further than this hotel. Very satisfied.
Cons: I could not manage to change the settings of the air conditioner in my room. But I think it was for the better anyway: if I could make it work, I'd set the AC to extra cold (as the weather was really hot) and probably catch a cold. As it was, it was just right :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely - very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Very noisy in the early evening. I think it’s the plumbing but can’t be sure.

5.0 Okay
Cons: Veeeery poor breakfest - no kitchen there - toasts, butter, cake ... sweets only - the answer was that this is typical - place for breakfest is equipped as in student house - breakfest is not right name for what is offered I was looking for accom with parking - is offered but parking means left your car somewhere behind the building on the street - so definitely there is not any hotel parking lot I asked for room with two beds - solution was one double bed and additional bed good for kids only even two beds were comfirmed by email

Pros: Liked nearly everything’s location was perfect, close to main piazza, lots of places to eat and drink. Good room, very clean, staff were brilliant.
Cons: Hotel is in no traffic zone, hotel say they can sort it with police, still a worry as had 700 Euro fine from Balogna for same offence, be careful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, very close to the central piazza. We found the garage and parked the car easily. The property itself was beautifully set up. The breakfast was great and served in a lovely room. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel with historical twist. Perfect location to visit Ferrara. The garage is an advantage.
Cons: It's hard to go to the hotel by car using Google maps. The instructions how to reach the hotel would be very helpful
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect - right in the center of old town - walking distance to all of the sights! The breakfast was fine but not exceptional. However cappuccinos were prepared for us! The housekeepers were very nice and spoke English. Has an elevator which is nice lugging heavy bags. There is a garage if you have a car but in Ferrara it is best not to have a car as the streets are very narrow.
Cons: Some of the desk staff personnel were not very friendly and not all of them spoke English. (Of course we were in Italy)

10.0 Excellent
