The hotel looks like it was at one point, an old Victorian house. The host was great and talkative, and very helpful. The room was very clean, and the wife expressed that the bed was the comfiest hotel bed we'd slept in. Breakfast is great, with various choices. But as it was near Xmas, the home made frangipan mince pies were a nice touch. The hotel is only a short walk away from the City centre. Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely cosy friendly atmosphere. The owners could not have done enough and were happy to chat and offer advice on local restaurants.
Breakfast was amazing with home-baked mince pies that were delicious and nothing was too much trouble. The hosts were very attentive and lovely people.
The bathroom was quite small but was clean and OK for a short stay.
The Townhouse was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend in Exeter! It is beautifully decorated, super comfortable and had a fantastic breakfast. It was the perfect location to explore Exeter from too and the owners were absolutely lovely!
Superb breakfast each morning of a three-day stay. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff! Well-maintained facilities, and a very prompt and effective response when I reported a minor problem with my shower. Lovely comfortable and quiet room.
I would have liked to be able to leave a bag before 3 pm on my check-in day without incurring an extra charge.
