A very clean and tidy hotel with traditional style lounges. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was a good size and the private bathroom was spotless and the shower very efficient. Breakfast was a choice of continental or full English included in room price. Plenty of free parking on site and within an easy walk of town centre (15 to 20 minutes) taking a pleasant route along the River Exe and crossing a suspension bridge at the picturesque quay to a gentle climb to the splendid cathedral and green with period buildings around it.
Nothing really to dislike.
Rooms are very small.
Lovely breakfast. Plenty of parking space. Right by supermarket. Very friendly staff. It's very clean andc comfortable.Have stayed here twice now and just about to book again for April..
We only stayed one night and were very happy with the hotel: - It was very easy to find and had a large car park. - was in a perfect location, only 10 minutes walk to Exeter Quays - we didn't use it, the bus into town stopped outside the hotel. - we arrived a little early, but we're allowed to check in straight away as our room was ready anyway. - the room was clean and tidy with the usual facilities. - good choice of foods for breakfast. - friendly helpful staff. - a number of restaurants in the vicinity for and evening meal. We would definitely use this hotel again.
Our room was a little on the small side, but I am 6 ft 4 ins so most hotel rooms do seem a little small for me. Anyway, it wasn't and issue and we managed ok.
The friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was great, both in terms of quality and quantity.
The location was billed as downtown. it isn't…it is a good 20-25 minute walk. The public transit seemed infrequent. There are few restaurants nearby.
