The pillows were awful. Despite booking for three people, we only had one towel in our bathroom. The toilet paper holder was mounted under the sink so you had to twist around awkwardly to reach it. And the toilet was in front of the tub which would have made bathing an infant quite awkward. The hallway on our floor also smelled like ammonia. There was no continental breakfast as advertised, and you had to go to the desk to ask for a to-go bag instead. (We weren’t told this until the morning we checked out.)
Another guest greeted me as I arrived at the desk and told me to go somewhere else unless I had already paid. The desk clerk was gone because he had gone to let a guest into their room because they no way to program the key cards. Thus, every time a guest wanted to enter their room the desk clerk had to let them in. The room: The plastic on the smoke detector had yellowed so much that it had to be well beyond the typical 10 year life span. The air conditioner had been cobbled together with wire mesh and had a thick layer of dust. The box spring on the bed was larger than the mattress, the sheets were a disheveled making me wonder if they were clean. The walls had been damaged in many places and poorly patched and painted over. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was in better shape than the room.
