Pros: The people are awesome. Very kind and helpful. Location is great!
Cons: One single day we had to wait a few minutes for the hot water to be ready... but it is definitely an outstanding place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay. The hosts are very accommodating and super helpful. Our flight was diverted due to fog and we landed 4 hours away and had to take a bus arriving at 2am. Susan stayed up and welcomed us which was lovely and then organised all our tours. Room was cosy and warm

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Linda Vista-family is very warm en helpfull! They helped us with our tour to Perito Moreno and called a taxi when we left. Their daugther gave us a lot of information about our next destinations in Argentina and Chile. The apartments are very clean and spacious. The breakfast is very tasty! We highly recommend Linda Vista.
Cons: We liked everything about our stay in Linda Vista.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and super-friendly hosts. Comfortable and clean property. Very simple but good breakfast. Perfect location — 2 hours away from El Chalten and 2 hours away from Perito Moreno. Shops and restaurants are also located not far from the hotel. Highly recommend!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, location, facility.
Cons: Hotel temps uneven, blankets too thick.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel. Good breakfast
Cons: No fault if the hotel is across the street from a park where a rock concert played until 2am. It was soooo noisy
9.6 Excellent
Pros: very knowledgeable and helpful staff at front desk. Great location. Nice setting in back yard. Right off main street.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great little hotel for a short time in Calafate. Good breakfast. Very clean. Perfectly adequate for us. Great value
Cons: Through no fault at all of the hotel there was a large and very very very loud music festival taking place in the outdoor arena which is directly across the street from the hotel. It was heavy metal/electronic music and there wasn’t a quiet spot in the hotel. One night the music continued at full volume till 2am and we had an early start. The next night it continued to 1am. So little sleep was had. Pity as typically it would have been pretty quiet for a close in hotel. All the hotels in the area would have the problem with the music.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Underfloor heating in bathrooms was a nice touch, very clean
Cons: The coffee at breakfast!
7.0 Good
Pros: Located on the main street in El Calafate, free internet, excellent support from the front desk to book trips, taxi arrangement, etc. Very nice staff, I would stay their definetely one more time
Cons: Breakfast was very basic, it could be due to the low hotel occupancy since season did not started

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor that soothed the mind. Very friendly staff. Quiet at night, short walk to the lovely town, great empanadas! Nice grounds and a hop ski and a jump to the bus station!!
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything! The hotel is very nice inside and out, the room was big and comfy, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious! We loved the empanadas and the sorrentinos we had for dinner. We also found very convenient that they offer "viandas" to take for excursions as some of the most interesting tours are full day and you will need to take your packed lunch. The location is actually ok. Is not in the city center so is a bit quieter and the shuttle from the airport dropped us almost 1st and picked us up almost last (meaning less time on the bus), but also means going to town for food or shopping is a good 15+ minutes walk away.
Cons: No air-conditioning! But is understandable as they usually have cold weather (they even have heating). Just so happens we were there during a short heatwave and we come from cold country so it felt a bit warm at night! Also the Wifi in our room was very slow and kept disconnecting, so sometimes we could use it properly and sometimes we couldn't even load Google.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: Breakfast too small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and friendly staff.
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super helpful staff. Location to bus station is excellent. A bit of a walk to town, but easily doable. Town is awesome. Wish we had more days here.
Cons: With a pastry cooking school in house you might expect some of these pastries to show up at breakfast. Wrong. Breakfast is okay, pastries were commercial over the counter store bought and average at best.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good hotel, located 15 minutes (By feet) from the city center. Kind staff, fantastic breakfast. Possibility to rent a bike. Near to the bus station.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable room. Kind and helpful staff. Really tasty breakfast with homemade pastries, cakes etc. Good internet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was lovely - the rooms, the lobby, the breakfast area. The location was also great. Close enough to the bus station and close to town as well. The breakfast was fantastic. Homemade pastries, cakes and cookies, but also fruit and yogurt to add something healthy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late a night tired after long week hiking TdD and instantly looked after by kind staff. Breakfast was amazing. Staff were happy to store our luggage and let us sit in lobby area after checkout while we organised our car hire. We enjoyed the 10 min walk into town.

Cons: Breakfast was poor. It was bread and cereal with little selection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff always had a smile on their faces and greeted us warmly. They always made sure we were having a good time and offered tips or advice on things we could do or how to make our plans easier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful
6.7 Good
Pros: It's a great hostel and I wouldn't let the above stop you booking just be wise to it and book the tour elsewhere! Nice hostel, clean, warm with great under floor heating, amazing views, loads of common space, good kitchen, good breakfast included, provide a packed lunch service for only 300 pesso.
Cons: I booked the glacier mini trek for two with the hostel which is 6500 pesso each, there is only one company that provide the service so it's the same price everywhere but then I was charged an extra 4%, when i questioned it I was told a reason that changed the more information I asked for. Firstly it was a tax then it was a fee for using a foreign card then it was the charge the hostel has to pay for the use of the card machine then finally told it was a commission! Eventually they just gave me the 4% back. I asked them did they know if you went direct to the companies website you could book it and pay by card with no additional fee and they said yes but they dont pass that information on? Hostels are meant to be there to help backpackers save money not benefit themselves off an already expensive tour! Overall just left a bad taste. When paying for the room they used a 60 pesso to the dollar exchange even though online mine was showing 56, I asked to pay in dollars so I could get my own exchange rate but the guy at the counter said I couldn't, it was his first time checking anyone in but then when paying for food the pesso price on the menu was converted to pay in dollars and when I asked I could pay in either? Also they exchanged the dollar to 60 pesso when charging you but sold the pesso at 55 to the dollar on the same day? They change the practices to suit themselves and you feel like you are getting caught at every angle. Also girl behind the desk with the short hair is just rude, don't know if that was just to us after the 4% ordeal. All other staff are nice and helpful, even the girl that I was dealing with about the tour was nice about it, they just give mixed information which I'm sure is the hostels bad practices and they have to deliver them best they can.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are extra friendly and knowledgeable. They were very helpful in helping me book tours and bus tickets. Would recommend and stay again! Thank you!
Cons: WiFi kept dropping out in the dorm room but in the lounge area it was fine.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff really make this place. Very hardworking and find time to help you even when it's busy. I had a memorable stay here. 4x4 tour organised through the hostel was great. Highly recommended the food here as well. Keep up the great work!

Pros: Bar, Spa
Cons: Room Service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was great. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. The best part was the breakfast that is included. It's an incredible spread--the best I had while in South America.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent downtown location! The layout of the property - stores, spa, restaurant, bars, golf course are very unique. The "Parilla" served amazing dinners - lots of variety to choose from. Some meals were so large, the waiter suggested that we share it. Breakfast was very elaborate - choose from the buffet or the chef will cook on order for you. Staff were friendly and helpful. They prepare take out lunches if ordered ahead of time for the glacier trip. The gardens and property layout is wwell maintained - just beautiful.
Cons: That we had to go accross the street for the dining room.

Xelena Hotel & Suites - El Calafate - Building
6
9.0 Excellent (919 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Xelena Hotel & Suites places you in the heart of El Calafate, just a 4-minute walk from Bahia Redonda and within a 5-minute drive of Anfiteatro Del Bosque. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a computer station, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Free self parking is available onsite.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was pretty decent, good selection of food. The bed was comfortable and the place was very clean.
Cons: Staying here was the disappointment of my trip. The staff at the front desk lacked warmth, friendliness and personality. The whole hotel felt cold, there was nothing original about it. I was disappointed right when I walked into my room- it was basic and there was hardly a "lake view" from the first floor, which I paid extra. No one explained how to use the remote controls for the blinds. There was no binder or book in the room explaining anything. This is not a 5 star hotel, by any means. And after miscommunication with my shuttle pickup (not the hotels fault by any means) but it was the way the matter was handled (continuing to call me when I was rushed and frantically packing after my shuttle arrived 40 minutes early)- just rude and no regard. Awful. Avoid at all costs. There are better hotels and hostels in the area with better value for your money where the staff are more kind and professional. My only regret was that they were already all booked and I was thrown by the positive results from this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable rooms !! I’ll be back again
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is amazing, a little bit far from the city centre but they offered you complementary shuttle service to and from the downtown. The staff were all excellent, in particular Florencia at the reception. She was really helpful!
5.4 Okay
Pros: Great view
Cons: Absolutely not a 5 stars hotel. At max a 3 stars. Prepare to arrive in a charmless hotel, it looks like one of those old mid-range chain hotels, with furnitures and style 20 years old. The breakfast is extremely poor with no quality food (all from cheap industrial brands). DO NOT take their lunchbox for your day excursion: this is expensive and absolutely uneatable, except from the apple. When you go to Perito Moreno, you will find a “restaurant”, chose this option. Rooms are extremely noisy, you’ll hear the movie from the neighbor’s bedroom (and we were in a large suite). As “5 stars” service comes, don’t expect here even a courtesy bottle of water in your room, you can only have the one from the minibar at horrendous prices. This hotel does not deserve anything better than 3 stars because the staff was nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, specially staff and. spa
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good staff. Nice view.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view, the spa and the staff was the best, super helpful and friendly.
Cons: I would say that I was a bit disappointed about the restaurant they have called La Mora. They only have one choice for wine by the glass.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!
Cons: Wall room kind of weak as you could here next door rooms kind of loud but anything else great !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and with excellent views if the lake. Hotel is well kept and a ver friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The gym poorly equipped. The game room lacked games.
7.7 Good
Pros: The indoor-outdoor pool is very cool. The breakfast is pretty good, and you can even order a lunch to go (have to do it the night before) if you're taking a trip that day, which is a very nice feature. You also get a welcome drink when you check in.
Cons: For a "deluxe suite" the rooms are average. The location isn't great, but the hotel shuttle is very dependable. If you take the bus from the airport, you'll be one of the last dropped off (and one of the first picked up on your way back). On the plus side, if you're heading to the glacier, you're be one of the last on and first off.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: absolutely awful and rude front desk service. the coldest people i encountered the entire trip and overall for a long long time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great lake view, outdoor bbq, every hour shuttle service to the town a bonus.
Cons: Cann't think of.

Pros: Amazing hotel in El Calafate, just few blocks from the main streets. The hotel is nice and with all the facilities you may expect from a four star hotel. The staff is kind and professional, paying a lot of attention to the costumers. Rooms are big, very clean and extremely comfortable. The bed is top quality and the bathroom is also nice. The gym and the SPA are small but fine. We felt like at home.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was so comfortable with good slight smell of diffuser. The property it self has really nice atmosphere I definitely recommend this place!
Cons: Though I liked breakfast I prefer no-sugar added juice.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating of me , given that I had to go to Chalten and had a late flight to catch as well . One of the housekeepers at no cost ironed my shirt , which was a very kind gesture .
Cons: If they could have kettles in the room that would be amazing
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Everything was great! There was nothing we didn't like.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thought “Nancy” was most gracious and helpful. We really liked the staff member who served us breakfast very much.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very polite and accommodating, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was superb! I loved the hot coffee with hot milk and the baked goods. Veronica made eggs on order as well. Mariano booked a catamaran tour to the glaciers that was very well run and better than the ones you typically book over the internet. Also, this boutique hotel is in downtown Calafate, only 2-3 blocks walk from the main street and a few blocks walk from other sites so it is very well located. Overall, great experience.
Cons: I had a single room because I was traveling alone. The room and its bathroom was on the small side and it could be claustrophobic for some people. It had all the amenities though (comfortable bed, private bathroom, hot/cold water, shower, hairdryer, outlets for plugging electronics, etc).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service. Excellent location to high quality restaurant options. Helped me make reservations for dinners. Staff was knowledgeable about excursions and made good recommendations. Nice showers.
7.9 Good
Pros: Manager was helpful organizing car for us to visit glacier and go to airport during very brief visit. Staff were friendly, room was clean. Location was perfect.
Cons: Room was small and bathroom was so small that toiletries for two of us had to be kept outside. Breakfast was very limited, better to avoid and go to one of many adjacent coffee shops. Breakfast for two cost as much as dinner with wine at one of the best restaurants in El Califate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host and the crew is extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast is great. We immediately felt at home and had a great holiday in El Calafate!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This has a cute little bread and breakfast vibe. Staff is very friendly and the owners are great. No complaints (and if you are coming from the US, you can pay in US dollars so you don’t have to exchange for a ton of pesos).

Pros: Excellent VFM. Great view good food.
Cons: Nothing, was awesome for the price. Need a car to get here though.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Efficient laundry service. Nice rooms - no tea/coffee making facilities. Bathrooms are good - good water pressure etc.
Cons: A long way out of town - not a nice walk. Very noisy at night - can hear everyone walking around/snoring/opening doors. Average breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from our room overlooking Lago Argentino. The room was large and very comfortable, and our stay was extremely relaxing. Incredible staff were accommodating and friendly. Delicious meals included plenty of variety. Our favorite part of the stay was meeting Negro, the sweetest dog who lived on the property. The location was just outside of the town. We had a rental car and easily made our way into town, and we also enjoyed walking down to the lake front.
Cons: The wifi was weak which was a bit inconvenient, but that was very common to the entire region. We could not get the satellite TV to work, but also did not ask for assistance as it was very late evening. Neither situation detracted value from our stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view from the balcony is amazing also staff is very helpful . Rooms are really clean and in good condition
Cons: Dinner is so expensive and didn’t meet our expectations. Wifi is really slow .
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was continental. No hot food which I was expecting to have.
Cons: Breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It’s very nice property with good rooms and great view. It’s not centrally locates but if you like nice walk along the lake - it’s perfect.
Cons: I think the breakfasts should be improved.

Pros: This hotel is located walking distance from the bus station. It is not as convenient for spending time downtown but very convenient for a transfer night. Also, they have awesome empanades for a late night dinner.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stuff, they allowed us have breakfast early, check in and out is very quickly. Location is also great, 3mins walk to bus terminal.
Cons: No barrier on the upper berth, it seems a little dangerous for children and old man.
9.2 Excellent

Cons: The shower drained slow and the bathroom fan was loud.

Pros: Hotel is lovely. Located 1 street away from the Main Street. Breakfast and dinner was really nice. Rooms are lovely and big with nice bath and shower. Spa and sauna is lovely and free. Hotel excellent at organizing tours for me and went out of their way to help me find a bus to Chile. Really nice hotel. Good value for money.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quiet hotel in a nice location with clean, comfortable, modern rooms and bath rooms, comfortable beds, friendly, helpful, dedicated services, good breakfast. Certainly we would chose this hotel again! Highly recommended.
Cons: Would be so nice to have a water heater in the room to be able to prepare a nice cup of tea when coming back from trip to the glaciers and feeling cold.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, big room and great breakfast.
Cons: Nothing really.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location. Easy walking distance to center
Cons: Hotel is not really 4 star. Furniture inside the room are cheap and drab, need updgrading. I would give this hotel a 3 star.
9.6 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: nice hotel with great location to walk around
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful and the location was perfect. Walking distance to everything we needed. The breakfast was very nice as well.
Cons: The walls are very thin in the hotel so we were kept awake late into the night every night we were there. You could hear people walking up and down the stairs, conversations in the halls and other rooms, and the plumbing. Unfortunately, ear plugs didn’t even help. Also, our bathroom door kept locking us out.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms too small. Loud noise
7.5 Good
Pros: This hotel is centrally located, being minutes from the centre of El Calafate.
Cons: Breakfast was poor, hotel needs a renovation.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: All staffes are kind and helful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the hotel for three nights in February 2019. The first thing to say: we enjoyed our time in the hotel a lot! The hotel is located at the heel top and has a breathtaking view at the lake, mountains and the Calafate downtown. The hotel has a very cosy lobby with fireplace and a very nice atmosphere. There is also a SPA in the hotel - two pools and two saunas - not much, but we enjoyed it in the evening after our tours. The staff speaks English quite well and is very friendly. The only con is the restaurant: the food (including breakfasts) is not so good as the hotel in general. Nevertheless the overall impression is very very positive! Highly recommended!
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice location with beautiful view Shuttle bus to city and back every hour Nice bed and clean rooms
Cons: Low attention to detail by staff who was not particularly friendly (no good morning during breakfast, no proactivity, when asking for a breakfast bowl, the guy first readjusts his desk before going to get some and then just puts them on the counter and doesn't give one to you directly, etc)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place overall. Nice rooms with beautiful views, very friendly staff, adequate fitness center, good restaurant, and very clean.
Cons: The check in process took a very long time. I think it was due to old and out of date payment processing equipment.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location had a very nice view of the city. Also you can go quickly to downtown with the bus service. The pool and jacuzzi was excellent.
Cons: The breakfast and the restaurant could be better.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It’s location up on the hill, out of the town
Cons: The staff were unhelpful and rude. I asked for a water at reception and they told me to get it myself!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff was fantastic and super accommodating. They were extremely professional and helped us with everything we needed.
Cons: The restaurant staff was probably some of the worst we have ever experienced. This was not a cheap restaurant and we seemed to be an inconvenience to the server. We had just gotten engaged that day and we were having a celebratory dinner and she only came by our table twice. Each time she was very short and rude. You could tell she was in a hurry and did not care to give us any suggestions. I had to get up and go to the bar to get a wine opener and to order another bottle. Lastly, we ran out of water so I again had to go to the bar for that. She was no where to be seen! Then the bill comes out and she did not care to explain any of the charges. She simply walked away and sent someone else over. For the amount we paid I expected a lot better service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location on a hill providing great view on a lake. A bit outside the town and other hotels which provides serenity. Still hotel bus can take you to the town for free. Great relaxation in the swimming pool after a hike.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff very nice and ready every time to assist!!
Cons: I think that some sectors of the hotel required urgently a maintenance.. Common places, rooms, pool, etc
7.9 Good
Pros: The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. The view was truly great! The dinner was pretty good and the shuttle was nice since the location is just far enough you wouldn’t want to walk.
Cons: The spa facilities were not really equipted like normal. The sauna was never hot and when they turned it on they would quickly turn it back off so it never really got hot. The breakfast buffet was so so. If you like eating just sweets for breakfast then you’d probably like it. They did have a small thing of scrambled eggs but they were runny. Also the walls are very thin although that seems to be normal in Argentina.
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Amigo del Mundo Hosteria y Apart Hotel in El Calafate, you'll be within a 15-minute walk of Plaza de los Pioneros and Santa Teresita del Nino Jesus Church. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request), and free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and warm, strong wifi, nice breakfast.
Cons: Cash is needed for payment, either pesos or dollars. Fixed showerhead is awful but normal, hard to set the temperature when you get boiling or freezing water on your head straightaway.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - great personnel - good facilities - WhatsApp taxi service a day before arrival
Cons: - small and quite hard bed - a lot of strayed dogs
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Walked 10 min to the Bus station. The buses go to Perito Moreno Glacier and El Chalten. Big and clean room with amenities, hair dryer, heater, towels provided. Strong WiFi, good water pressure for shower. Friendly staffs. They allow us to use water boiler and microwave in the kitchen. Breakfast was good.
Cons: Hard boiled eggs served cool. I was not aware that VAT for 21% was charged when I checked out. No credit cards accepted.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big , clean room. Walking distance to city centre and bus station. Price is lower than other similar hotel I think.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Best breakfast we had in Argentina!
Cons: The staff were eager to sell us trips and transfers; luckily, we found that we can get a transfer from the airport a lot cheaper ourselves. The bathroom was not great. The heating was good, but you have to ask staff to make it lower or higher, or on or off. Doesn't feel welcoming, for example, the notices on the wall about fines for leaving stains on towels, especially when the towels given already had stains. But it's ok for a day or two, especially if you don't need to take a shower.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean room and bed. Lots of hot water, though temperature also fluctuated in the shower. Wifi. TV in room. Friendly staff.
Cons: Paper-thin walls, noisy from all sides. No shower door, so bathroom floor floods and you have to mop it if you don't want to splash around in the bathroom. Heat is either on or off. The lowest setting bakes the place. Options are to open the windows. Outside temperatures fluctuate from below freezing to 70 F in a day. Also no door sweep at the threshold to keep out drafts. Continental breakfast is bread, sugar, cheese, and ham, plus hard-boiled eggs. Inadequate matress covering - I was tempted to strip all the beds just to make up one of them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super friendly even with our limited Spanish abilities. Helped us do laundry for a very good price, rooms were kept very clean and it was only a 5 minute walk to the main shops and bars. Such a lovely town!
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location close to City Centre. Free wifi and parking. Friendly staff.
Cons: The downstairs rooms are too noisy due the steel stairs ( outside ). Breakfast is just OK. Coffee isn't good. They don't provide shampoo. Bedroom is comfortable, with good space, heater and good matresses.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. 5-10 minute walk from all the main street (restaurants, tourist agency or shops). Rooms very warm, modern and comfortable. Breakfast is good (for Argentina). Good WI-FI

7.9 Good
Pros: Big breakfast, room was comfy.
Cons: No possibility to talk about late check-out, because they could not explain us anything. For some reason they gave us not explanation. Just "ask tomorrow". Breakfast staff unfriendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and very helpful, beautiful outdoor areas and common areas, great breakfast.
Cons: Far from city center, but the shuttle service every half hour made this a non-issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff, excellent food!
5.4 Okay
Pros: The front desk staff were nice and helpful.
Cons: Cleanliness—the sheets were stained, towels were not changed even though they were left in the tub. The little soap was not replenished. The breakfast buffet was not good; croissants were cold and pastries tasteless and coffee was poor. For Argentina the buffet was definitely sub par.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good buffet breakfast, nice view from room
Cons: None
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - very friendly and competent staff (without exception!) - breakfast good with good variety, better than most other breakfasts we had in Argentina - rooms small but good cleanliness - restaurant: very good quality food, good value for money, very nice atmosphere, great service - view on the lake is outstanding, nice lobby - quality of drinks at the bar (cocktails) was perfect - WiFi was working at good speed most of the time (better than any other WiFi in El Calafate)
Cons: - quite a bit of a journey to the center of El Calafate (took us 45 min walking), hotel offers a shuttle service though (in the evening) - second heating in our room was not working, hotel should check all installations before check in of the guest
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The view is beautiful Building is nice Breakfast is very good
Cons: It’s far from the city
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hiking was close by and spectacular! The place has a good vibe! Always lots of people coming and going. Staff were very helpful. Carla and Franco pointed out great hiking trails and gave me weather forecasts. The restaurant food was good and it was a great place to sit and chat with other travelers. We forgot towels so you can rent one if needed.
Cons: Those who are prudish in nature may not like the communal shower stalls. They have glass doors with some opaque strips to give some privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff make u feel very welcome, everywhere is clean and comfortable and the food superb.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendliness, luxury look and feel, convenient bar and shuttle service. Very pleasant stay and nice to sit out back and look at the lake.
Cons: Only thought on opportunities is something they can't change which is the room size. While more than adequate, we recently stayed in a hotel with jumbo size rooms that really made us feel special
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Food is incredibly cheap at the restaurant, the staff are very nice, there's a free shuttle into town and back and the rooms are big, warm and have a bath. Seriously good value.
Cons: WiFi was painfully slow, but that was it.
7.5 Good
Pros: The view of the hotel is amazing and the front desk service was super. Very helpful in every way.
Cons: Location wise it is a bit away from the city center and there should be more frequency of courtesy shuttles between hotel and city center. Housekeeping could be better. Room had dirty glasses from day before and in general could be cleaned better.

The rooms are very clean and spacious. El Calafate was a wonderful town. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all.
7.5 Good
Pros: Carlos was excellent - helped us with info on the area and various activities. Overall place is well laid out and clean and reasonably convenient location.

Pros: This hotel is really amazing. We got room upgraded and it was really beautiful, spacious room with bathtub and shower and great view. The hotel is very modern but also cosy, restaurant food was delicious and people working in this hotel are very helpful and friendly, I would definitely come back there again.
Cons: Water in the swimming pool was extremely hot, it was very hard to get in. Fireplace in lobby area was only as a decoration and there was never really fire there, which is a pity because it would give great atmosphere there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb facilities staff location breakfast
Cons: Rooms need some updates and better heating regulation
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel atmosphere was great. Very nice decorated with big rooms. Employees very nice and helpful (good level of English as well). View from hotel magnificent. Facilities were good, nice pool and sauna to relax after cold day.
Cons: Way to hotel could be better (more lights in dark). Hotel was going to close soon and some items were not available.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great property. Staff was friendly and helpful and the suite I stayed in was really wonderful. specious, comfortable and amazing views over town, the mountains and the lake. Food at the restaurant was delicious.
Cons: Internet speed was bad. I suspect it changed according to how busy traffic got, but certain times of day almost impossible to use.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff provided excellent service. (I had several questions about tour pickup and needed assistance rearranging a tour and they were very helpful.) The lobby/lounge area was nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable with several seating areas and tables/desks. We enjoyed the presence of an onsite bar and restaurant and also the wide selection of options at breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming and friendly staff who were very professional and booked us an amazing restaurant. Great breakfast and beautiful interior in Wabi Sabi style. Beautiful bath tub in stucco in our room and good spa as well. Travelled for a month in Chile and Argentina and this was by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in - both absolute and when looking at value for money.
Cons: It’s not directly located in the center, but it’s only a 5min walk away so not an issue. You just can’t place a hotel of this size on El Calafate’s Main Street (which is low-rise).
6.7 Good
Cons: Restaurant and staff need improvement.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. Staff is really nice and helpful, there is a pool and sauna for free, the view from our window was beautiful, wifi connection is fast. City center is located around 10 minutes on foot. Hotel itself is very comfortable, cozy and modern. We really liked the design. It was a really pleasant stay after a few days trekking in El Chalten. We highly recommend it!

Cons: Hot water was not that warm, but we presume due to peak hour after every one’s excursion

6.7 Good
Pros: Hotel facing very nice view of mountain and lake Argentina.
Cons: Checking in process, although very personalized, but, it was way too inefficient, as clients have to seat and waited for more than 15 minutes to check in room... Secondly, location of hotel is far from city center.. Walking at least 20 minutes to reach nearest supermarket.. Propose hotel to prepare free shuttle for guest to city center every 30-45 minutes, this will be great services, as Uber service is not available, and taxi is not freely available.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was quite good. The rooms were clean.
Cons: The place seemed run down, the spa only opened in the afternoon and staff was not very friendly overall. It´s a 15 minute walk from town.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: The hotel is very expensive and is totally not worth the price; rooms are not cleaned well, wi-fi is almost not existent, and the food quality is no good; don’t believe the nice pictures on the webpage; also, if you plan to use the pool, theres no robes provided, you can only get a bath towel which you have to return in 23 hrs or you will be charged for it
5.8 Okay
Pros: The pool is great
Cons: The pool only open after 14:00, so if you want to go relax nothing to do in the morning, that is bad decision from the hotel. Also the temperature in the pool is to cold, the water temperature is ok but when you get out you freeze yoursef. Rooms clean but walls and doors to thin, you can hear noise all the time. The street entrance in very bad shape, dirt road with many holes. The restaurant very poor as well as the breakfast, breakfast very low quality food, dry hams, cold scramble eggs and all the cakes ann sweets very hard and not daily fresh. One day when resting in our room and taking a nap we have people from the hotel entering with a group of employees, that was very unpleasant, nobody ask us if they could enter the room or anything they just came in. Overall not a good experience for us to really relax and enjoy the facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was sparkling clean!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really impressive interios, staff is extremely helpful and friendly and eating at the restaurant was a real pleasure. Room was very spacious and very nice.
Cons: The spa area didnt seem to work properly during our short stay - sauna had cold air coming in and pool/bubble bath had some issue. Massage was okay only.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Impressive decor. Very good varied breakfast selection.
Cons: The sauna wasn't hot. I had a room right by the main lobby so was woken up at 6.30am every day and there was noise till around 11pm at night. Perhaps those rooms shouldn't be used- especially not if not fully booked.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, infrastructure, services, lunch for excursions, pool, breakfast
Cons: The decoration of the rooms. It looks boring, its sad because the rest of the building is awesome. Doesnt have the mountain feel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The toilet with jacuzzi, double sink toilet, the facilities like swimming pool and sauna, the breakfast buffet is superb and the restaurant serves good food as well.
Cons: The room heater is always on and hard to switch off. We were roasting for abit sometimes at night.

6.3 Good
Pros: The design of the hotel and the view.
Cons: They could not connect our rooms and we were travelling with small children They could not turn off the heating. We were sweating. In one room we could not open the windows
6.3 Good
Pros: The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean Good view (however only in the rooms above) Food was ok, Breakfast a lot of sweets
Cons: Laundry was horrible, every piece minimum 2 sizes smaller The staff is quite rude and not keen to help They only want to sell tours to book over the hotel Check out was a disaster, as they didn’t tell us that we need to pay the massage and tours by cash and of course we had not enough (at the banks in El Calafate is a max withdraw from 2000.- pesos per day) so we really don’t wantet to spend all our cash at the hotel. Overall; a lot of misunderstandings by a lack of english knowledge and no helpfulness.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice Argentinan breakfast, specially the chipas and pastries
Cons: No option of eggs, different than scramble, very poorly scrambled
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location,
Cons: WiFi not reliable and high speed, very low quality TV transmission
4.5 Okay
Pros: Comfortable beds and good location with an excellent view of the lake. But bad service. Front desk not making reservations or giving us appropriate messages from tour agencies who changed times for our tours which could have caused us to miss the tours and almost caused us to not have anywhere to eat for Christmas Eve!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The massage was amazing, and the spa was great. The meals we had at the restaurant were very good.
Cons: The WiFi was terrible, always failing and with very low speed, in some common areas I was unable to connect at all, for foreigners it is very annoying, since is their only way to communicate. The bathtub in the room was supposed to be jacuzzi, but was not working, like it was supposed to.

Pros: the views abd the design
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. Hotel is perfectly designed - beautiful views from every room, great restaurant and swimming pool. It was difficult to find it, our gps was wrong, but it was worth visiting this place.
6.7 Good
Pros: Excellent location, very scenic- bit of town but no hassle to get taxi there and back.
Cons: Such a great building - shame that it seems to have been neglected a bit - scuff marks on the wall, ripped curtains, only one working plug socket in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views and service! Tasty buffet and great restaurant’s menu, I believe Is the best hotel in town. I was very lucky to spent it 7 nights there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The large open plan feel, Windows and terraces over the lake, loved the design aspect.
Cons: The details aren’t great and although a lovely design/layout, parts of the hotel already show signs of needing attention, e.g. loose decking on the balcony, furniture and interconnecting doors between each room. The latter meant that all noise carried between rooms. The walls were also very thin so we could hear everything from the next room. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. The bathroom was also not ideal in that the shower over the bath was quite dangerous as very slippy, no anti-slip measures at the bottom of the bath. Sink was small and very shallow so filled up almost by the time one washed one’s teeth, very odd. No free bottles of water in the room which were provided in other hotels.
