The breakfast was excellent and the host was very friendly and accommodating
The double bed was not comfortable, it was propped up in the middle under the bed and so the mattress sagged on either side. The heating system also didn’t work properly it came on and off at various times. Lastly the water in the shower just disappeared at times for a couple of minutes. It was a pity as it is a lovely guest house
My room was very comfortable and amazing, beautifully decorated, with big windows and a lovely street view. There is a real scottish breakfast and the owner is very friendly.
There is no ham or sliced cheese for breakfast. And a temporary problem is: when I were there one side of the street was closed so there were no buses on this side. For this reason, to return from the city center the buses stop a bit far from the hotel and you need to continue the way on foot, even at night.
The host to the alba hotel was very polite, attentive and easy to talk to. The superior double room was very nice. Very big, clean and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. The ensuite was very modern and clean with a decent bath and shower... Also the breakfast choice was excellent with no complaints with the cooked breakfast.
Stunning rooms, comfy bed, approachable noligable owner Cath went above and beyond to make you welcome. Breakfast just right plenty to choose from.
