Unfortunately my room was above the lift and it was very noisey every time it was used - even at 4am. I have stayed before and this was not an issue in other rooms.
Very good location. I arrived 8pm Sunday night. My initial room was small and very tired looking, stained carpets, very rough and average furniture; badly stained carpet and old bathroom. Ancient elevator. I could hear guests in the next rooms and overhead. The view out both windows was scaffolding and brick exterior walls. The next morning I discussed this impression with the office. I stayed the next 2 nights in a much larger better room but whilst it was very spacious the same comments apply - tired decor, stained carpets, everything a bit down at heel. I liked that the Hotel management was sympathetic to my dissatisfaction with the room and tried to upgrade me.
I understand the hotel is being refurbished , good ! it needs it.
Location is great.
Floor is slanted, room was old, bed was uncomfortable and the entire 7th floor felt creepy. Maybe after renovation it will be better.
Breakfast was excellent, checkin was extremely professional and friendly. Room was large and very comfgetortable
Get rid of the awful digital clock! Impossible to set the alarm, it went off twice in early hours and was so bright I had to cover it.
