The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and beds comfy. We enjoyed the breakfast
There was nothing we didn’t like.
Location was great, walking distance to everywhere. Room was large with plenty of space
Maybe have on property bar and appetizer only place outside by the lake
Clean, great location and staffs are great
The location is great. Can't get any better for Duluth. Really liked the ambiance/atmosphere of the commons areas compared to the other hotels in the immediate area. I liked the grand lodge look/feel combined with the Craftsman style interior woodwork and furnishings.
Bed was comfortable and the location of the hotel is perfect. Staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions we may have had.
The room had a bad odor to it, and after opening up the windows you could still smell it. Smelled like bad BO. The breakfast left much to be desired, the eggs were very dry. We feel that the hotel is overpriced for the lack of updating that clearly needs to be done. The lights take at least 10 seconds to fully turn on.
Called the Land of a Thousand Lakes, it should come as no surprise that Minnesota has its share of lakeside resorts. Found in Duluth, the Canal Park Lodge certainly numbers as one of the most enjoyable hotels in the region.
The newest hotel in Duluth’s Canal Park area, the lodge’s 116 guest rooms are filled with upscale décor. Rooms come in plenty of options and guests can select a room that looks out on to the lake. In addition, rooms feature a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and high definition LCD television. The rooms also include a complimentary hot breakfast served every day, featuring scrambled eggs, omelets, and make your own waffle bars.
At the hotel, guests can utilize the spacious pool, allowing kids to splash and play with ease. A full fitness center can allow visitors to stay in shape, although the hotel is adjacent to fantastic running trails, right on Lake Superior.
The hotel does not include a full-service restaurant, although it does offer a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. The lodge has quick access to the Canal Park boardwalk. The boardwalk offers a variety of dining restaurants, as well as retail, antique, and boutique shops.
With meeting space and optional catering, the lodge also can be a great host for a variety of events, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
An incredible lakefront resort with access to a stunning downtown, the Canal Park Lodge is a fantastic conference or vacation destination.
