Location is tops. Great restaurant/bar. Nicely designed rooms
No in-room coffee. No sustainable features like dual flush toilets or motion sensors.
Very stylish rooms and public spaces. Room and bath were comfortable and a very adequate size. Lovely bath products. Quiet and peaceful stay. Hotel offers 1-penny admission to the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art, which is on the next block. It was in our plans to visit, so that was a bonus. Great location - next door to Union Station, and loads of great bars and restaurants in every direction.
Bed wasn't terribly comfortable. It was a king with quite a high spot in the middle, lower on both ends. Parking fee was $50 for 2 nights. About average for downtown Denver, but always annoying when you're already paying $300/night for the room (including taxes & fees). FYI - if you're arriving at night, the building name and address are poorly lit. Keep your eyes peeled and be ready to turn in for parking/main entrance.
The staff was great and when you call for something they do it immediately. Every employee we came in contact with was amazing!
The room size and cleanliness was not what I expected for the price. We stayed in the executive suite and it was actually really small when you take out the large entry hall and enormous bathroom. The bedroom and living area were tight.
Location and clean modern decor were the highlights.
There aren't really any drawers to store clothing except two small bedside nightstands. More than adequate, and beautiful, closet space.
With Union Station literally out the back door and 16th Street Mall out the front door, Kimpton Hotel Born is in an unmatched area of Denver. All types of travelers are welcome at Kimpton, but the sophisticated hotel better suits couples and business travelers.
In the heart of Denver’s urban renaissance, Kimpton Hotel Born allows guests to walk or ride to creative and culinary hotspots, bike trails, and mountain access. Union Station offers an array of amazing restaurants such as Mercantile Dining and Provision and Stoic and Genuine. Denver’s oldest saloon, My Brother’s Bar, is an 11-minute walk away while the famous Cruise Room is only a six-minute walk away. Other popular area attractions include Denver Art Museum, LoDo, Larimer Square, and 16th Street Mall.
An abundant amount of convenient services are offered at the boutique hotel, but on-site amenities are scarce. While a spa is not on-site, there are in-room massages and body wraps that can be easily booked with the concierge or on the hotel’s website. Kimpton Hotel Born does offer a 1,000 square-foot 24-hour fitness center and two restaurants featuring cozy atmospheres and delicious food, plus the hotel offers complimentary beer and wine reception.
The Kimpton Hotels Born’s 200 guest rooms and suites are sleek, elegant, and authentically Colorado with modern mountain décor and a floor-to-ceiling window. All rooms come with modern amenities such as a 50-inch LED TV. However, each upgraded room will offer more in-room amenities and space.
As one of the newer hotels in downtown, the Kimpton Hotel Born does not skimp on amenities nor style. The rooms, the location, and the restaurants all stack up on the list of pros.
