Good staff, large rooms, very well located. The daily free afternoon tea was a bonus.
Not great sound insulation, but mitigated by huge ceiling height. Probably better on second floor.
Nice location, nice building, good breakfast, good internet
Everything is noisy: the bathroom door, the elevator, etc
The breakfast was good, specially the pan de queso. I liked the big rooms, with plenty of space and good aircon. The hotel is nice, old place, and they allowed me to check in earlier the day I arrived which was great.
The language barrier, only one staff could speak spanish, and most didn't speak either english or spanish. Ordering room service was a challenge because they did not speak english. And suggestions for lunch could be better. They just pointed to a shopping center with a food court. It is also the first hotel where I find that they charge for drinking the bottles of water that they provide in the room, which I found outrageous.
Beautiful design features for the price mark. This includes custom furniture to marry old style appearance including caning with modern function and tremendous reburbished window frames with wooden shutters & sheer drapes. The staff is excellent & extremely accomdating. There is a range of wines to purchase at the desk. The breakfast is very good but a bit heavy on the sweets, although they make good scrambled eggs.
Online photos make rooms look a bit larger than they actually are.
