Pros: We stayed here for 6 days. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Cuenca. Santiago & Pollo as well as the rest of the staff did an excellent job of making us feel welcomed. This will always be my 1st choice when we stay Cuenca. The room, bed, breakfast, dinner & cleanliness were all 5 stars. Thank You 4 point Sheraton.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Welcome Drink Turndown Chocolate Excellent Breakfast Hardwood Floors Rain Showerhead Friendly Staff Comfy Bed Secured Key Access Elevator
Cons: Noise on Highway Side of Hotel Staff accommodated me as a light sleeper and moved me to a quieter room with a tranquil city view. Cherry on top was a dessert tray for the inconvenience.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. It was a huge Buffett with all types of foods. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Nice spacious rooms and good, hot shower.
Cons: Our room was quite loud and we were in the basement level, so we could hear a lot of noises from the lobby. It’s a 15 minute taxi ride into the city - walking is not a good idea.

Cons: Nothing

7.5 Good
Pros: Helpful staff and great location to visit everything in Cuenca. Fabulous breakfast too!
Cons: Very very tiny room! And no windows. Also if someone is talking in the corridor or there’s a celebration on in the lobby the sounds carries through to your room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s in the heart of Cuenca, the hotel is beautiful and the staff makes you feel like home.
Cons: The beds weren’t that comfortable for the price you pay. The food wasn’t that good either, they don’t have 24 hrs room service. I reached 7pm very hungry and there was only sandwiches on the menu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff, including the owners, were exceptionally nice and helpful to us. That all treated Us like royalty. Everyone went beyond what would have been expected. The go teal is absolutely stunning. I loved our room (Royal) was large with a beautiful canopy bed. The common area with garden and restaurant was lovely. It was all decorated for Christmas!
Cons: This was a VERY minor point but it took quite a while for us to get hot water in the shower, .....but we did get hot water finally. We just had to run it a while
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The photos online did not do this hotel justice. It was even more beautiful in real life! The staff were very welcoming and helpful - definitely exceeded our expectations.
Cons: The Spa area can be improved in terms of having a relaxation area (chairs/sofa etc)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I travel the world in my job. I am top status with Marriott and second to top with IHG. And, I also stay in boutique hotels occasionally. This hotel is fantastic! At the top of my list. Stay here.
Cons: The room was a bit cool at night but I would stay here again in a heartbeat:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting was magical. We stayed in one of the garden rooms and I really just wanted to sit in the garden and literally smell the roses. It was beautiful and very well cared for. The small details were charming-water bottle at night , notes and candies left at turn down in the evenings. We had to leave before expected and the concierge was a HUGE help changing all our flights and hotels
Cons: I entertained a group of friends in the dining room and the food did not match the price or the very nice service. It actually was the worst meal I had on a 2 week trip and was overpriced for the guality of the food.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was beautiful, clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for a fridge and they instantly brought us one, they called taxis for us, drove us to the airport and were very accommodating with food restrictions I had. The breakfast is fantastic as well and the room is comfy with down comforters and a balcony. Natalia at the front desk was very nice and she always asked us how we were doing and actually cared. She works very hard to make the place run smoothly. Daniel the bartender was also a lovely host for us and went out of his way to help!
Cons: Nothing all good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is nice, just by the river and very central. Staff is great, it is very clean and the room is comfortable. Breakfast is plenty but the food is nothing out of the ordinary.
Cons: The room they gave us has no AC or mini fridge. The shower is poorly designed getting everything wet when used. The pool is very small and cold.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: We love the old style wood and the charm of the Hotel. The Breakfast is the high point of every day, with the good service and wonderful view. Location is great and the water is hot.
Cons: There was no internet in room 206 most of the time. A tiny room, no desk or table for the room service tray. The room is directly under the kitchen, and is noisy when the breakfast juicer starts up.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness and a wonderful breakfast each day.
Cons: The staff went out of their way to be accommodating and friendly It was much like a botique hotel with them knowing your name when you came in each time. Their restaurant was excellent! Why I didn't give 100% was that our room (which had a wonderful view) was situated above where people met, and I guess continued their party ...sleep was diffucult.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building. The food was very good. The staff very friendly and helpful. I like the location because it was in El Centro close to all the action. Nice lobby with fireplace to sit and relax. Restaurant is very good. Free breakfast is very nice. Very satisfied with our stay.
Cons: Room was a little small, but worth it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Cons: Too noisy from the bars around
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel. Everything was great and great staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place is very nice with a lot of character great location and an exceptional food served both for breakfast and in the restaurant. Staff was very available and assisted me with calling a doctor, ordering medications and more so I cannot stress how welcome we felt.
Cons: I was not allowed to check out later than the regualar 12h00. As my flight was only at 18h and was travelling with a small baby I found it a nuisance and not the best treatment.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean
Cons: Room under the kitchen, Very noisy at 10 pm. No shower cup
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff at breakfast were lovely. The food was good. Most of the staff throughout were lovely. The garden outside our room was beautiful.
Cons: Our room was a tiny dark room. One of the beds had to be slanted in order to close the door. The lighting was atrocious. The lamp beside the bed had to be unplugged (no switch) to turn on/off; this made it impossible to get up in the dark. The room was cold and dank.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were exceptionably nice and efficient, wonderul view from room, being in the hotel felt like home.A little old fahioned, but so am I !
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel Bulding
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rustic wooden structure , furniture , antiques, chimneys for warming up, excellent food at the restaurant . Had the specula Locro soup and the grilled fresh trout . Delicious!
Cons: Hard to sleep at night do to high altitude (3,450 meters above sea level).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: We couldn’t used the jacuzzi because the Water was too low
6.3 Good
Pros: Well kept grounds.
Cons: Well for starters the bathtub was not clean, the view from our room was of concrete roof and a work ladder placed right in front of window. The food and products are way overpriced, dont know how they stay in business, maybe from the fish farm. The free breakfast was a slap in the face, had to dish out more money for decent breakfast. I can not recommend anyone to stay at this place. The high cost 120.00 with view of a ladder with tax of course, however this is misleading because everything else cost way too much. The final bill is roughly 202.00. The service is lacking, not friendly at all. The front desk looks as if someone just shot their dog. We did have one nice waiter, a young man who was very attentive and nice. Also you will find a list of don'ts when you enter the room, such as, misplaced towels, missing glasses, or spot on the sheets you will be charged...are you kidding me. I recommend you stay somewhere else and visit cajas for the day. The place is beautiful but grossly mismanaged. It's a bad joke when it comes to value and price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosteria Dos Chorreras feels like been in "Alice in Wonderland" Beautiful, well kept place with professionally, friendly and diverse staff. We stayed at a Bungalow and was amazing. Room was nicely decorated, well kept, clean, no mold smell and no noise from neighbors. Food was great as well. We ate at three different restaurants and food was excellent. Breakfast buffet was great, their natural juices are super good. Must try their famous empanadas de viento, they are big, but so good I ate two. The location is perfect if you want to explore El Cajas National Park. It is also very close to Cuenca, which is a beautiful city.
Cons: Hosteria Dos Chorreras is such a beautiful place but, be prepared for cold weather when going outside. It was raining and wet outside. Should improve parking area (should be paved).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, nestled on the side of the Cajas Mountains. You are literally in the clouds. Food, service and staff was excellent. An excellent mountain lodge while visiting Cuenca, Ecuador.
Cons: For me, nothing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: That it didn't have a pool. Nevertheless, it's a great place to stay
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Super clean. Friendly staff. Nice room. Great location.
Cons: Extremely small parking place. At the end I payed with credit card and the lady at the counter had to redo it three times. She kept charging incorrectcly, seems she has typing issues. Luckily I did check the voucher before leaving. Wasted 30 min because she didn’t even know how to fix it at first.

7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good with fresh fruit, juices, eggs and meat choices. The staff was excellent and eager to please....quick to respond to my concerns.
Cons: First off the bed was pretty comfortable but the pillow selections were terrible. My neck was stiff the whole trip. Next up is the shower...the water pressure was good but the hot and cold water kept surging where I was scalding or freezing. It was also very difficult to get in and out of the tub/shower access was a bit dangerous if you are not agile...especially so if the floor is slippery. Be careful if you are older. I am speaking of the single King size rooms on the ground floor.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is beautiful, clean and is in he best location
Cons: Even the hotel has great... my experience with the staff is something that the hotel has to work on. The staff was very friendly with the foreigner guests, however as ecuadorian I had he same expectations, but it was not... when I requested the backyard bar to spend the afternoon after they say yes, they decided to close it for clean it and we couldn’t use it. During the breakfast time, the staff was very alert about foreigners needs, and they did not realize that we did not have cups and napkins in our table... and when I asked for it... they were very rude asking me my room number and days of stay. I felt discrimination to the ecuadorian guests, even we were a group of 7, and we paid the same price. Interestingly I live in the US, but at the time of the registration I used my address from Ecuador, without expecting that this could change my experience.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and clean room. Good breakfast. Very kind staff
Cons: The restaurant was fine but not excellent
6.7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The rooms are dated and feels old /tired
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Its well situated in the historic center, walking distance from comercial and historic attractions, the staff was very welcoming and helpful, the room was nice and comfortable. the bathroom seem new and clean. It had nice inside garden for the kids to move a little and adults to seat. My family had a great time.
Cons: the room had tub in the middle, and my youngest (1 year old) insisted to get in and finally got all wet (also wanted to go up the stairs making me very nervous). (Though no trouble with my 3 year old)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very nice hotel, big and very comfortable room, great choice.
Cons: Breakfast could be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was huge! The location is great!
Cons: The food. The food. The food.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a nice hotel in the heart of the historical centre within walking distance from all places of interest. It is located in a renovated old colonial house with a restaurant in the central courtyard where standard breakfast is served.
Cons: There was not nothing really negative to mention

7.9 Good
Pros: It’s a lovely old hotel with beautiful common areas to enjoy. The staff were very nice and helpful, and my room was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: My room though spacious was a little dark and the bath/shower had some issues - no bath taps so had to fill with shower which was a little tricky with the layout. Also, nearly slipped over in the bath/shower as the glass screen was set in place and so had to hop in the top end which was sloped. Had a lucky save as could’ve easily taken the glass screen down with me, which could’ve been disastrous. Hope they fix it as very dangerous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very early arrival and requested to leave our bags and see city. They gave us our room instead. No elevator and on 3rd floor. Bell boy ran our bags up. Breakfast exceptional with lots of choices. Room was clean. 2 bottles of water left for us each morning and wine, sodas, beer in refrigerator , availble for purchase. Coffee and tea available all day. Tour booked for us by receptionist was excellent. She also answered all our cultural questions and directed us to sights to see and online apps. Since we had a late flight out, we were offered the room for an extra hour. Can't daw enough good about it.
Cons: An elevator would have been nice. I would make a point to ask for 2nd floor room. High elevation makes it hard to breathe going up stairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Room clean and staff very helpful.
Cons: My room was very small and it had NO view to the street. Apart of that it was clean and comfortable. I had some trouble with hot water, which was solved quickly. One of the shower shower doors was missing so the bathroom got wet when I showered.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location! Very good service! Very nice staffs!
Cons: If Wifi is faster it’s better!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is spotless and very comfortable, however the staff is the best asset to this hotel. Fantastic people and great customer service.
Cons: The just need a little work on the noise reduction for the wooden floors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly & helpful staff. Trying local dishes for breakfast. Free tea and coffee whenever you wanted - welcome after a day visiting. The decoration and layout of the inside of the hotel. The location in the centre of town. Leaving our bags after checkout wasn’t a problem.
Cons: Nothing at all!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Down town Cuenca, near Cathedral
Cons: A staff very kind, she guide me to a nice restaurant
7.1 Good
Pros: This hotel is very nicely located and has a good breakfast. The common spaces are beautiful.
Cons: Considering this is a 5 star hotel, it does not meet requirements one may expect from a 5 star hotel. The toilet was dirty and the hotel did not look like the picture and did not feel like a 5 star hotelroom. We got twin beds on our honeymoon. To be fair, they did decorate the room nicely.

Pros: As I extended an extra night I have not yet experienced everything but to date all is good. Love the old style hotel and the service is excellent from the kitchen to the housekeeping to the coffee lounge.
Cons: The on site car park is a block and a half away. I have a damaged foot so it was an effort, but not a big deal.

Pros: The hotel is located right in the center, easy walk to everything! Big spacious rooms and everything was very clean. The staff is very polite and helpful and breakfast was delicious!
Cons: There is no room service or open restaurants in the hotel after 9pm I think so we had trouble finding food in Cuenca after 10pm.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.The staff are very attentive to your needs.Great breakfast.Very clean and historic hotel in the old area of Cuenca.
Cons: There is a noisy paking lot behind the hotel.Quite often car alarms go off.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: As always: beautiful(ly decorated) house, excellent breakfast with lots of options to choose from, comfy beds, complimentary chocolates and water, attentive staff. Located only one block from the central square.
Cons: Even after our third visit and after making our suggestions, there is still very little room in the bathroom for your personal bathroom items. It still would be nice to have an additional shelf or something similar because the complimentary toiletries use up all the space on the washstand.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff, very nice breakfast, terrific location!!
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.

Pros: Breakfast Thermal pool Close to Cuenca City center
Cons: Room a bit small
7.5 Good
Pros: In floor heating, very comfortable beds
Cons: Nowhere to hang towels, robes, jackets in the room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The thermal baths on site were truly excellent. The breakfast was varied and delicious as well as clearly a Ecuadorian breakfast, giving us good cultural exposure. Staff was extremely accommodating and eager to help.
Cons: It is located fairly far from the city so getting to a inner city location at a specific time is not ideal. From an American perspective, the room was kind of lacking in electrical outlets.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff Nice big, comfortable room
Cons: We were under the impression that the hotel has a private thermal spa included but it’s rather a semi-private, quiet busy thermal pool with lots of kids playing. However, the hotel has an associated Spa (thermal pools, sauna, steam bath ...) just 3minuted away where we were granted access for free and this had the relaxed atmosphere where we were looking for. Everything else was great.
5.8 Okay
Pros: View and breakfast
Cons: Music at 6:30-7:00 am when i was planning to sleep late being in vacation. Also the termal water pools are not private , they are not only for the guests so we were very disappointed! Senior citizens pay $4 and adults $8 for the day. Very crowded at the time, kids jumping in the water, others doing laps and raising so we couldn’t really enjoy it the way we planned!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing, I came from NY looking for a relaxing place and this place was all I wanted. Great experience! Foos is great. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Pool is awesome and all amenities are just on point!

Cons: The location was not bad, but two blocks further down to the river would have even better. It is along a busy street, although the insulation works fine.

7.5 Good
Pros: The 24-hour front desk, friendly staff, comfy bed, and location.
Cons: The doors don't keep out noise from nearby rooms. I could hear muffled conversations happening in other people's rooms and particularly a child whining most of the time I was there. The property was generally quiet after 10 though. The breakfast, while good, was not worth $10. That's more than double the price of very good breakfasts to be had nearby. The shower had plenty of got water, but it was difficult to control the water temperature with the confusing handle.
5.7 Okay
Cons: I didn't find toilet paper and shampoo in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Stuff very nice, professional and willing to help.
Cons: Charge for breakfast for $ 9.98 which was overpriced for what the selection was.
6.0 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Internet was terrible — it would drop every 30 seconds or so. Bathroom had a LOT of mold around the shower/tub.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed and very hot water in the shower.
Cons: Don’t let them put you in room 312. My first night I was in this room and in the walls or somewhere very close by is a water pump that when activated (every 20 minutes or so) sounds like a very loud mournful cat’s meow. Couldn’t sleep all night!
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location and really nice staff. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were comfortable.
Cons: You can hear people in the other rooms quite easily. Had to move rooms because I could hear everyone else doing anything (going to the toilet , showering, coughing etc.) It's really noisy - avoid the rooms that are in the middle of the hotel as they are the noisiest. I moved to the 3rd floor on the outside wall - better but still could hear people all night.
4.6 Okay
Pros: It is a little bit basic, they should serve more fruit. The attention of the staff is not that good. I noticed that sometimes they overheat what was left over from the previous day and the taste wasn't that good
Cons: The attention of the staff is not that good and the attention in the hotel restaurant during the night shift is terrible, the guy is very aggressive and very impolite. The distribution of the room is not adequate, the bathroom is too small

Pros: The staff was very helpful and kind, they offer a good customer service
Cons: The heating wasn't good enough, all the hotel was cold
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is excellent, the staff so so,. Unfortunately the protest were in the area and we can not go out. The offered transfer to another safe place but was impossible. We had to eat dinner there and was terrible and expensive.
Cons: The city is beautiful and the people in general terms are kind . The hotel location is good bud the attention was terrible.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It’s location because it’s very close to the historical part of Cuenca
Cons: It has a smell of kitchen, like grease after it’s been used. Also the chef/waiter was rude when we asked for room service. Also he was not friendly and looked mad most of the time.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Comfortable beds
Cons: Breakfast was not good at all, there was macaroni for breakfast with tomatoe sauce. The receptionist was not friendly when we arrived. The room was not ready but she had us wait, the hotel seems to be used for casual sex as our next door neighbors were having loud sex in the middle of the day and then left. The building felt out of date and all together it was not a fun stay. Parking was not included.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our visto to Cuenca was amazing and part of the amazing experience was our stay at the Hotel el Conquistador. The location was perfect we were within walking distance of the center. The room was ample, clean and just what we needed. I felt just like I was in the USA. The service was top notch, anything we needed was available. From the complimentary pick up from the airport to our departure, I had not a bad moment. And last but not least, the staff, the people running, working there is what made the entire experience 100%. They were courteous and went above and beyond! I will highly recommend this hotel!
Cons: The only tiny thing, was the mattresses were a bit firm in our suite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was awesome, the bed and everything in the room was amazing...
6.7 Good
Pros: Clean room. Buffet breakfast so good.
Cons: The tariff I paid did not match the booked + 22% for taxes (announced in the receipt for booking). Finally I paid more than 34% over the base. The Internet connection had problems and por signal in my room.
