The place is strategic to know interesting places in Cuenca
The building it's old
When I was told that breakfast would be on the 9th floor I was a little skeptical but after seeing the view I was quite pleased! The breakfast was more European style with selection of lunchmeat and cheese platters, but toast with butter and jam was available as well as the "hot breakfast" portion which was eggs and either local sausage links or potato. We definitely enjoyed the selection of fresh juices! Definitely worth the money! Not a four star hotel but worth the money!
Bathrooms were OK and clean but not great! Shower head could use replacing as water came out as a single stream but was warm enough and manageable. Walls were thin since I could hear what the guests were saying in the adjacent room, but cheaper hotels in the States are like that too.
The included breakfast buffet was quite good— we went up for seconds and thirds! Also, the view from the restaurant (where the breakfast was held) was really pretty. Additionally, the building was located a few minutes walk from the main plaza and sites, so it was very convenient.
The facilities really need to be updated at this hotel. In our room, we had scuffed walls, a flickering light, a shower that didn’t drain at all, and a toilet that was pretty old. That being said, it’s relatively clean and if you’re only staying in Cuenca for a night or two, this hotel certainly gets the job done. Not the most comfortable, but a good deal for what you pay.
Very helpful staff, the welcome drink and great breakfast were wonderful touches to a very comfortable stay. The slab of chocolate on our departure was another very thoughtful and kind gesture.
It's pet friendly !!
Parking is not included. It's 12 usd for night
