The lobby and common facilities were cleaned and well maintained but the rooms were small with very old carpets and not very clean. Also, hotel is pet friendly so anyone with environmental allergies should avoid it.

What completely baffled me was the requirement to pay 150DKK to use the pools (staff reminded me that they were not in fact pools but spas). Let's be realistic though.. They were small pools! Absolutely beautiful there and peaceful but I could only justify using it once over my two week stay ...

Pros (+) Very cool exterior architectural design. Lobby was nice. Basalt Restaurant food was very good and unique preparations. Basalt wait staff was very nice and pleasant.

Not something I would have ever expected from an AC Marriott hotel. Basalt restaurant was extremely expensive for what I ordered.
