Staff was responsive and friendly. Facilities were older, but clean. The price to quality ratio was superb!
Toilet seat was loose, but otherwise the quality to price ratio and the very responsive and friendly staff made it a great experience for me!
Comfortable beds, updated rooms, very helpful friendly staff.
A Dozen Police Cars Outside When We Got There...No
The place has very friendly staff, and is reasonably clean. The room was also well cleaned the one day we were there to see it. The rooms are also nicely equipped with mini fridge and microwave. 50 cent sodas in the machine outside was nice, though.
When we arrived, there were a dozen police cars outside, so we left and came back an hour or so later. Turned out someone had tried to skip on their bill, and then tried to fight the first cop, so...anyway, not as big a deal as we thought at first, but not the first thing you want to see. Hotel needs a lot of work, and it shows. The picture on the TV looks more like old school antenna reception than cable. The toilet in our room was loud as hell when flushed, and seemed to take a while to refill. I asked for a smoking room, but did not get one, with no explanation, making us trek outside too often. We tried to request two wake up calls the first morning, but were told we could only get one. The "free breakfast" consisted of very small pastries, cereal, coffee, or "juice" (probably Sunny D). They only put out about half a dozen pastries, so they were gone in the time it took to smoke a cigarette and come back to an empty plate.
The place was only minutes from the heart of Columbia, and the one guy working was as friendly as he could be.
Where to begin... The place was a mess. they don't have a computer system, just paper cards to fill out for check in. The exterior was poor and made the place look abandoned, the room was cold and smelled like stale urine, as well as severely under decorated. The toilet seat didn't fit the toilet, the mounted this tiny, grainy television on the wall, I could hear every word the guy next door was saying (quietly), and the bed. The bed was hard as a rock with paper thin sheets! I can't make this up! Come morning, we found a creepy stain on the chair in the corner and knew we just had to get out of there. By the way, they had free breakfast in the morning. A pot of coffee and some Cheerios to be exact. I've paid $30/night for nicer facilities than this. I'll be using Air BnB next time!!
Hard mattresses, stained and slashed sheets, dirty towels, cockroaches everywhere
Worst hotel i have ever stayed at
There was nothing good about it except the location.
There were bugs in the bathroom. The comforters had large holes in them. Beds were so hard, floor would have been better, except it looked like it has not been vacuumed for years. We asked for more towels the first night and never received them.
Relatively close to the center of Columbia. Least expensive hotel on the city side of the river.
Very run down. In a bad neighborhood. Paltry breakfast.
