Pros: The grounds of this hotel is really pretty. The women that checked us in was very nice and gave us all the information we needed to get to our room and where the restaurant and coffee bar were. Our room was spacious and looked clean and we had easy access to our room from the parking lot.
Cons: House keeping forgot to empty the trash can and there was a banana peel and empty pop cans in it. No big deal though we just put the cans out in the hall in case the banana peel started to smell.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Food
Cons: It claims to be pet friendly but you have to choose if you want to have your pet or if you'd like to have your family. A pet room only has option of a king bed so kids sleep on the floor where I'm sure a number of animals have had accidents.
6.0 Good
Pros: It had a wide choice of eating facilities, from quick snacks to full dining. Food was good. Plenty of parking. Large centralized pool. Large fluffy towels. Bed was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Our room was not in the main building and was drafty in the hallways. The toilet seat was missing a bolt, shower nozzles were loose. Safe was 4” deep. One coffee cup provided. Overall, the standards were just okay, nothing exceptional.

Pros: I loved that mostly everything was near by, I would recommend this hotel. Very clean and staff very friendly and the rooms are very clean.
Cons: We checked out the pool and everything was fine other then the cleaning liquids they clean the pool with was very strong that we couldn’t stay very long, throat and eyes were itch and hard to breath in so we decided to leave after a few minutes.

Cons: Bathroom was dirty, the floor was sticky
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Great hotel, friendly and clean. Nice rooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with easy access to any store or restaurant and easy to find the street to downtown area.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Bed was nice & comfortable
Cons: Room definitely needed updating. Chair in room was from the ‘60s, looked bad never sat in it. Handicap room had tub that was very small and bottom was warped feeling like you could fall while taking a shower. Room had a very uncomfortable feel to it. My wife and I are not handicapped. I booked in November. When I questioned the desk about why I was assigned the room and I wasn’t happy with it, I was told that was the only room available. Also, pool and hot tub were out of service. This was not an enjoyable stay. This hotel is more of a one star $79 stay and not the $140 stay. It needs work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very delicious and had a wide variety of food
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spur of the moment stay because of online pricing. Will stay again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was awesome so was the breakfast attendent! Loved Mike at the front desk
Cons: The pool was clean but hard for older people to get into and out of . Also it was cold so much so our 22 year old got out two after 5 minutes.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast only
Cons: very noisy hotel, you can hear people next door or the room above you when they flush toilets and have shower as if you were next to them. No better than a Motel 6 for double the price. Asked for an early check-in, couldn't have it. Even though I knwo it's not guaranteed, the response from the manager was really bad, saying that at 12 no room had been cleaned! I guess that a normal double room might have been available at the time as people check out early. Asked for a quiet room and was given a room next to an elevator which beeps everytime someone goes in or out. Was charged 5 dollars for internet access! Luckily I checked my bill and asked for a refund. Here again the manager said I exceeded the data, never heard that in another hotel! Really disappointed though I had good experience of other hotels of the chain. Would definitely not recommend that one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best place I’ve stayed at for the price and central location. Very clean.
7.0 Good
Pros: It felt like a very safe location.
Cons: It was kinda of hard to get to from highway. Breakfast could have been better to include more fresh fruit and spinach. Staff was friendly. Caulking around the bathtub was laughable.

Pros: Room design.
Cons: Na
4.2 Okay
Cons: We didn't appreciate at all the way the staff faced some problems: first of all in the evening (about 10 p.m.) we discovered that the toilet (WC) didn't drain at all; when we informed the receptionist, we were given a device to try to solve the problem by ourselves (!!!) saying that the maintenance service wasn't available at that moment. Technical problems can happen of course, but it's the way you try to solve them that makes the difference. Anyway, we didn't solve the problem, of course, and we asked to change the room. After some time, we were given a new bedroom which had only a Queen size bed and a sofa bed (instead of 2 queen size beds, as we're 3 people). They told us that the sofa bed was ready, and when we discovered it wasn't, we were given sheets and blankets to do it by ourselves: self maintenance and self making the bed! Perfect service! Besides, the sofa bed was very unconfortable but there was no solution for that. The following morning we had a new surprise: because of an "unespected emergency", the full hot breakfast was not available!!!! No orange juice, no eggs, no bacon, no yoghurt, coffee only if required.. No words, no explanations, only a notice written on the counter were usually eggs are. Once again the wrong way to face the problem. We don't discuss about the emergency becaus it can happen, but a real person with some explanations and a smile would have been appreciated. But of course the real person at the reception was present at the moment of the check out, without apologies but ready to receive the payment. No reaction when we informed her about the several problems. Of course we have paid. When the usual mail from BW arrived, asking about our staying, we answered explaining exactly what had happened, the General Manager wrote back with the proposal of extra bonus points on our Best Western Rewards Membership (!!!). Never again!!!

Pros: I knew in advance we would be near the trains, but not as close as the hotel really sat. I asked for a room away from track, but the rock and roll of trains was still felt. Room was good sized and adequate. Disappointed that there were no utensils for kitchen. At least, plastic or paper would have been nice. We had to find some to eat our microwave meal!
Cons: Noise level for price
6.3 Good
Pros: Close to downtown. Lots of parking. Easy access to I-25.
Cons: No housekeeping except every four days. Had to take my soiled towels to front desk to get clean ones. Front desk commonly empty and had to wait for assistance. Only coffee for breakfast and that’s all! Overpriced for value received.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: My husband & 2 teenage grandsons were the customers. The boys slept in the bed,my husband took the pull out bed.The frame was so bent you really couldn't sleep on it,called night mgr,she agreed it was horrible ,husband pulled mattress off bed and slept on floor.Next day,,mgr/franchise owner spoke with my husband/offered 20% refund, hubby said not acceptable, asked to speak to HIS boss,he said he had no boss,DO NOT STAY HERE!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I was there before. Meaning I know the place and that is why I am returning. But this time there was a person - James that I, very positively, nicknamed "hummingbird". He was very helpful, zooming around with incredible sped, doing work for two people. Fascinating!
Cons: Maybe electrician should check air-conditioning in our room.
6.7 Good
Pros: I liked the cleanliness and space.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Historic ambiance was fantastic. Nicely renovated.
Cons: Parking is lacking. Only one handicap slot near the hotel. Restaurant service was horrible. Waited for 10 minutes to be seated/served. Not one even acknowledged I was standing there.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff and food were good.
Cons: The sheets were dirty, I clean rooms for a living so I know they weren't changed. I had to call front desk and ask for clean sheets and make the beds myself. I asked for a crib, I got an email before I arrived stating they would indeed have it ready in the room, when I got there they only had a roll out bed? The room was not clean, fingerprints, smudges on the microwave, tv and surfaces. The bathroom was the same. They take little to no pride in cleanliness. The lights were very low and made the room dark. The price was $174, way over priced!! I will never book throught booking.com again, people who booked directly paid less.
4.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the historical features and that there was a restaurant and bar in the hotel.
Cons: No place to to park. The hotel is on busy streets. The ‘dog’ park is across a busy street and the grass was full of dog poop. Bring your luggage in using the luggage cart is a challenge, due to the small elevator. The restaurant was overpriced. Did not visit the bar.
6.3 Good
Pros: This hotel may describe it self as a Historic Hotel and may be decorated in the style of the past. The entrance and reception is all very Grand
Cons: The rooms are decorated in colours of times gone bye. The bed looks nothing like in the photographs, in fact our pillows appeared to have been used by previous occupants. Take a look at The Grand Hotel, Fort Benton. A restored icon of the past but brought into the future for 20th century GUESTS.
7.9 Good
Pros: Like a museum. Unbelievable number of historic relics shown throughout the hotel. Good restaurant. Across from city park.
Cons: Poor parking availability. Provided desk, but there are not enough power outlets for electronic/charging devices.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Plains Hotel surely has a historic feel to it. Very comfortable and in some cases a “bed and breakfast” appeal.
Cons: No onsite parking. Had to find off street parking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Lovely historic hotel
Cons: Location Very good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Location. Location! If you love trains it is the perfect place to stay. It is also filled with a rich sense of history. It may not be the most updated hotel in the area but the staff was exceptional.
Cons: You had to overlook a lot for history. No bathroom sink was a big disappointment. We were not sure there was any value in a full sized refrigerator and microwave in a tiny tiny room with no seating except the bed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great, historic hotel in the heart of Cheyenne: fun location, nice amenities, friendly staff.
Cons: Bed was a bit hard
4.6 Okay
Pros: Lobby and restaurant areas very charming
Cons: “Historic” seems to be code for tired and dated. Room was in major need of a remodel. Took forever to get tepid water to our 2nd floor room to shave. 2019 plumbing technology allows for hot water to a 2nd floor room.
7.0 Good
Pros: This hotel is full of history. It is old and rustic but has so much charm. If you are looking for modern and new this hotel is not for you. If you want character, old world charm and tons of history, you can’t go past The Plains Hotel
Cons: Reception was s little slow
7.9 Good
Pros: I loved the decorating and historic furnishings and items.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at this point.
Cons: Customer service. No one was at the door at 2:30a.m. to let me in to check into my room. I ended up staying at another hotel nearby called My Place for a cheaper costs without a reservation. Because of this you still charged me for my room even though I could not get in to check in and now I may not get my money refunded for the room due to your poor customer service of not being available to open up the second locked lobby door to let me in to check in.
5.7 Okay
Pros: It was priced ok.
Cons: The carpet was highly stained to the point we wouldn't let our 7 year old granddaughter on the floor to play. We also chose to wear shoes when walking on the floor.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, good price. Large room with WiFi and clean. Breakfast included, always a plus .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff they were super friendly and helpful and the room was very clean.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. Easy access to Cheyenne frontier days park and pass site. Just a block off of I-25 and a mile from I-80. Made returning to Colorado as simple as driving half a block and getting on the I-25 access ramp. My second stay there and I will stay there again.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We all loved how soft the sheets were. Great staff
6.3 Good
Pros: It was clean and maintained.
Cons: Side doors locking mechanism broken, door did not lock, not safe. Breakfast buffet was mostly empty at 730am. No fresh fruit and attendant did not bring more bacon. There was 1/2 piece when we arrived. Other guests having a 2 hour yelling match outside our door.
7.1 Good
Pros: Proximity to Frontier Days was perfect!
Cons: We paid an exorbitant amount for a one night stay!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Right on the interstate. Easy to get in and out of.
Cons: Beds were just a tad uncomfy. Lights shine in from the gas station.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Beds were comfy, room was clean.
Cons: In the middle of a truck stop.
1.0 Poor
Pros: THE FRONT DESK WAS AMAZING!
Cons: THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. I ORDERED A STANDARD ROOM WHICH IS TWO BEDS, THERE WAS ONLY ONE BED. THE ROOM WE WERE GIVEN WAS DIRTY AND IT SMELLED AWFUL. THE BATHROOM HAD MOLD GROWING AROUND THE SHOWER.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet, cordial staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were updated and nice. Standard continental breakfast.
Cons: Pool was a little chilly. Coffee was not great.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean entrance, friendly staff, clean room, pool & hot tub were a huge plus especially since they were salt water.
Cons: When I got to the hotel it was a really late check in so when coming off the highway the hotel was really hard to see. I would definitely suggest they put a well lit sign closer to the street.
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: Room had a wall that was only 1/2 painted. Towels were something I'd find at a gym. Beds uncomfortable and definitely not worth what I paid.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful as they could be. The coffee was excellent.
Cons: My room didn't have the heat turned on. My room felt like it was refrigerated. I asked the front desk if the heat was broken and they said all the rooms were that way. This was in January in Wyoming. It was like 5 degrees outside. Even after moving rooms, to one that had been preheated, the beds were cheap and uncomfortable.
5.6 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable and the room was clean and bright. Staff was very helpful when we arrived for a 11:00 pm check in and I realized I had made a mistake on my booking and realized we were a bed short.
Cons: Continental breakfast left much to be desired (we actually left and went to have breakfast at Denny's after trying the "waffle" item offered). Entrance to the hotel's parking lot was like driving through the Grand Canyon and the run-down building next door gave us some doubts as we were pulling in.
7.7 Good
Pros: I had a king sized, no smoking, one person only room. The bed was nice, the air conditioning was awesome, and I had a lot of pillows on that bed. It wasn't bad for one night.
Cons: The poor lady at the front desk needed help desperately. I was 3 deep in the line to check in, with more people behind me. My key's didn't work initially, so they had to be reassigned to my room. Then the next day. Shower didn't work...well it worked, but I couldn't get it switched over from bath to shower. The tab thingy was stuck. So, I took a half shower half bath.
6.8 Good
Pros: Sign outside says its recently remodeled but our observations say otherwise. Maybe the lobby and WiFi were updated, but all of the furnishings and bathroom fixtures were 1980's chic, at best. I'd include photos but I don't want to scare people away. Carpet hadn't been cleaned in months, bathroom fan was caked with dust, as was heater unit. On the bright side the beds were comfy, it was quiet despite being close to RR tracks and I-25, breakfast was decent (no eggs or meat though), and the workers were helpful. Get the family suite if you can. Its only $12 more, is much bigger and comes with two king beds.
