Pros: From the minute we were welcomed by Katie, our stay was exceptional. There is no 'on street' parking close to the B&B, but there is a carpark just a few steps away which cost £8 per night, ...... not a problem at all. The room was three flights of stairs up, so strong legs needed, and every comfort was available in the room i.e. toiletries, hot drink facilities, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. I had the 'full English' on the first morning which was delicious, and fruit and cereals, orange juice, muesli, and yoghurt were plentiful. The bread was home made and a treat to eat. You could put a stone on just looking at the selection. Every night, there would be a bag left in the room containing some cake for your supper. We were also given a bag of treats for the journey home when we left. The house is almost in the centre of Chester City, and every attraction was but a couple of minutes walk away. The City Walls are practically on your doorstep, as is the racecourse. We had an excellent two nights stay, and when we feel the need to visit Chester again, we will certainly try and book to stay at 80 Watergate Street as our first choice, and if there are no rooms available in the B&B there is a self catering apartment available as an alternative which is just across the road. Well done, and thank you to Katie for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

Cons: Hard to find any fault at all but think all 3 of us would have liked some marmalade with our toast but unfortunately when asked there was none available.

Pros: Very little.
Cons: Pillows of pre-historic manafacture. Leaking tap. Noisy room (requested a quiet one). Slovenly disinterested staff and breakfast service was quite stupendously slow.

Pros: Good location, around 15 minutes to city centre. Good mattress on bed so nice and comfortable. Lovely poached eggs at breakfast. Full length mirror provided which is good and something I think is a must.
Cons: No towel rail or heating in bathroom. Decaf coffee at breakfast was dreadful. Sausage on menu said local sourced but tasted and looked awful. Would have been nice to have some berries and melon. Lighting was terrible, very gloomy in the room.
