Pick up was in location not accessible by airport shuttle. We had to forfeit our payment . A refund would be appreciated. Did not use vehicle we rented.

We showed up to pick up the car and they didn't have one. Said they tried calling me but the number on file was remotely close to mine. After 30 minutes there was suddenly a car available after the worker "checked the back."

Flights were cancelled, so I never got to my rental! And “pay in advance” means I don’t get a refund. So that really sucked!

Absolutely awful!!!! I did not get the full size SUV I rented. I turned the Dodge Durango in one day earlier than originally planed and was still charged the full $451 fee. I was charged an additional $371 for fuel and a excessive cleaning fee which I am disputing as the car only had dust on the outside. I firmly believe Hertz is running a scam to overcharge customers at the OKC airport and I can assure you I will NEVER rent another car from Kayak and Hertz again.

When I picked up my Honda-CRV, it was so filthy I had to trade it out. I was then given a Nissan Pathfinder and proof they didn’t clean that vehicle prior to me getting it was someone else’s hotel room keycard, Budget rental agreement, and water bottle were still in the car. Also, with the long line and needing to exchange cars, I didn’t leave the facility until an hour after my scheduled pick up time. This was not acceptable.

All 3 rentals had issues with maintenance. Two vehicles had sidewall tears in the tires and the other has a nail in the tread. This, I took the vehicles back to Budget for a refund.

The vehicle was clean and in good running order. However, the ‘oil Mx’ warning was on the entire trip. Too, the two left tires required service.

I loved the car itself. It was spacious and had enough room for our bags. The car was a bit dirty, there was toys and stickers in pockets. There was white stuff on the back seats as well. The man that helped me when I picked up the car was kind. I don’t understand the late fee since it is on a 24 hour billing cycle and I returned it before noon.

I had made my reservation ahead of time before my travel date through Kayak. I also called Avis's rental office to verify my reservation and all and they confirmed everything. On the day of my travel, I get there early in the morning to try to get on the road as soon as possible and the travel agent named Jim asked me for a corporate code in order for him to continue with my reservation. I asked, do you mean my reservation number, and he said, no, I need the discount code used for corporate members to get the rental price that you got. And I was like, what discount code are you talking about? I made the reservation through Kayak and in the reservation details, there was no corporate rate/discount shown. Well, for the love of me, I could not get him to understand I didn't have that discount code he was asking for and I needed a car because it had been 30plus minutes I had already wasted of my traveling time. He ended up, giving me a higher rental than what I had originally booked. I told him it was his word against Kayak's. I was beyond mad and felt so bad I am never going through Avis ever again.

Pick up took forever. Two desk staff...one guy was trying to accommodate s customer trying to rent without a credit card and the other girl spent 10 min.. small talk with customer...First car was filthy. Not vacuumed, windows streaked and there was even a piece of chewed gum on the floor behind drivers seat...second car wasn't much better.

It took more than an hour to get my car at the OKC airport. Neither of the 2 employees could get their tablets to work. Enterprise allows customers to reserve cars online that pick-up at airport locations and return to city locations. Apparently this isn't supported internally at Enterprise and causes all kinds of issues. I had to go back to the airport the next day to try to get my rental straightened out since phone customer support was useless. I returned the car to the agreed upon city location in Houston but they were unable to give me a receipt because of the aforementioned issue with picking up and dropping off at other locations. I was told I would be contacted by the OKC airport location but I returned several days ago and am still waiting. I've had great experience with Enterprise in the past but they shouldn't allow customers to book rentals that they can't support internally. This entire experience has been a fiasco with lots of wasted hours and phone calls.

Fairly efficient check out and check in, convenient location. The car smelled of cigarette smoke. I could tell the rental company had cleaned it, but that smell can't be taken out. It was an unpleasant experience.
10.0 Excellent20 Apr 2021
Under the circumstances, the staff was quite accommodating. When I arrived for pick-up, there was not a car available and the staff could not give me a time frame for when I would be getting a car. I mentioned that I had to be in Wichita, KS (from OKC) by 4pm (It was a little after 11AM). When a car became available, it was at the airport location and still needed to be cleaned up and driven to the I-240 location. Instead of making me wait, a staff person drove me over to the airport to the car so I would not have to wait longer than necessary for someone to bring it to me. This was really helpful and I appreciated it.Obviously, a car waiting for me when I arrived at my scheduled pick up time would have been ideal, but it worked out and, again, the staff was handled it well.

Enterprise cancelled my reservation without telling me. When I showed up to pick up my car they claimed they had tried calling me and that I also should have made the reservation several days in advance which made no sense since I had in fact made the reservation several days in advance. I’m not sure if it is a company wide policy to cancel reservations without confirming with the customer or just this one rental agent who messed up but luckily for me I was able to make other arrangements.

They ran out of cars and said their partner locations were also out of cars. What’s the point of a reservation if they do not hold a vehicle for you?

Everything amazing except car selectionThe employees were great! Informative and friendly. In and out quickly. Paid for full size car and only offered arguably midsize Hyundai Elantra and Nissan Altima. Cars were very clean and in good shape. Felt like I got a good deal on the contract but wish the cars were bigger.Need bigger cars for full size option. Everything g else was great.

Jeep renegade is NOT an SUV.It drove just fine. It was clean.First thing first, i understand you cannot guarantee a brand or model of car. However, giving me a Jeep renegade and calling it "RAV4 or similar" is laughable. The RAV4 has 73.4 cubic feet of cargo space. This boxy little jeep has 50.8. That's quite a drastic difference. I fit more stuff in my 06 Corolla, and I'm being completely serious. Secondly, the RAV4 gets ~31mpg on the highway. This 4x4 box averaged 22 over 2 days. It's supposed to get 31 but it didn't. Maybe it needs a tune up.

Car drop off was the only thing that was not filled with complications. The pick up of the car to an extra hour. We waited for 45 minutes to be picked up. I was harassed about insurance on the car. I provided my insurance and was still harassed. He called my insurance to make sure my documents were not fake. Felt interrogated. The car was in very bad shape. Large dents in the from and back not very clean on inside and cigarette burns on the seats. The worst rental I have ever seen. I asked about my 60.00 deposit they said it would be refunded with no problem at drop off. I forgot something in the car. Called multiple times to asked if they had recovered it. Had the distinct feeling they did not check and did not care. However, leaving was my fault but still felt as if they didn't help me. I dropped the car off on the 15th of may. After multiple calls and checks I finally received my deposit back on the 31st of may. I also only received a partial deposit refund because of a flat tire that occurred while I had the rental. The bad thing about that was, when I had the flat, I called to check to see if it was a problem. They said it was no big deal they would fix it when I returned it. I could have fixed it myself for far cheaper than they did but there was no mention of any charge when I asked or dropped the car off. This was a terrible experience and you should not rent cars to anyone using this service. If you continue to use this company, they will alienate more customers. They did an extremely poor job. Top tips for hiring a car in Oklahoma City

  • Gain ultimate flexibility and rent a car upon your arrival in Oklahoma City. Don’t rely on public transport schedules and delayed trains when you can explore the city and its surroundings conveniently on your own four wheels. The recreational Lake Thunderbird State Park, for instance, is 30 miles from the city and only a 35-minute drive away.
  • If you come to Oklahoma by plane and land at Will Rogers World Airport, only 11 miles separate you from the city center. Conveniently, the airport sports its own hire car center, so a vehicle can be picked up easily upon arrival. The hire center is located north of the terminal and courtesy shuttle buses bring travelers to and from it. Companies like Alamo, Avis, and Enterprise are there to provide vehicles for all tastes.
  • Driving in Oklahoma City is comparable to many other US cities and quite an enjoyable undertaking. Road conditions are not pristine in some places, so driving defensively and slowing down can be helpful. It is also important to note that Oklahoma drivers have a reputation for being quite impatient, especially during rush hour.
  • Traffic congestion is not as bad in Oklahoma as in other cities like Boston or LA; yet, if possible, try to avoid driving through the city between 7-9 in the morning and 5-7 in the evening. Most affected are the I-235 and I-44, as they narrow down into two lanes, making wait times of up to an hour. Make sure to plan well in advance, especially when going to the airport, and check the current traffic situation before leaving the accommodation.
  • Book your rental car in Oklahoma City at least 1 day before your trip in order to get a below-average price
  • Intermediate rental cars in Oklahoma City are around 35% cheaper than other car types, on average
