I did not receive the car.
Cons: When I called Avis to receive the vehicle on Saturday morning, they didn't have it! The rental never occurred. The phone number posted for the Avis location where the vehicle was supposed to be - per the official website - was disconnected. I called a different Avis location, they provided me the cell phone number of someone working at the location, and this person who answered the phone was extremely rude and even used profanity when I asked where the car was. "Ciao, pendejo," he said as he hung up. I am considering filing an official complaint with Avis. I highly recommend that Kayak consider reevaluating their contract with this agency. No reasonable person would give Kayak money for this.

Customer service was bad.
Cons: The staff at the north office of Bogota did not attend to help me on my request to change the vehicle the last day of rental, so I could run my business errands due to a city's prohibition of car used at peak hours (from 3PM to 7:30 PM), so some days unpaired or pair tag id numbers can not circulate at certain hours of these days. I had requested to change the car this day and the response was negative and not helpful at all.

Cons: They gave away our car as we were an hour late to pick it up from the airport after unavoidable delay.
Absolutely unacceptable... makes both Avis and Kayak look bad.
We had to figure alternatives out ourselves and ended up booking with Hertz.

Cons: Do you insuurance purchase from Alliance was not accepted at the Avis in Colombia. They said they don't honor those third party insurances and forced me to pay for their insurance.

Cons: They tried to extort an extra $70 for cleaning the interior and exterior of the vehicle. The interior was dirty when I began the rental (coffee or some brown drink spilled on the cup holder, dirt in the interior). I returned it in the same condition. The exterior was clean and it was a little dirty when I returned it (it rained all week). They told me I would be charged a $70 dollar cleaning fee. I've never experienced anything like this when renting a car from other companies. I don't know if this is an AVIS policy or whether the Bogota airport location is just shady. Either way, I'm not renting from AVIS again.

Cons: 1. They force me to buy their insurance , if not they will charge 2000 dollars to my credit card , although I have bougth insurance thru allianze already .
2. They make me sign a blank boucher , but i already get their insurance , its not good .
3. The car could not be used due to trafic restrictions in Bogota , it was a waste of money .
4. When i went to return the car they were expecting to returned washed , its s rental car and i have never have to do it .
5. They tried to keep the blank boucher with the excuse that they need it for administrative reason , i took it because it not theirs .
Very bad experience , never going to rent a car in Bogota .

Pros: Nothing. I cancelled the rental on the spot.
Cons: I was quoted a total of about $300 for the 9 days rental, and at the counter it turned out to be about over $900 for the same 9 days, for the same "smallest, most economical" car. On top of that, the $90 insurance I purchased at the time I made the reservation was useless.
Cons: The customer service provided by Budget at the airport was awful. We called to pick up the car early and were told that there was no issue. When we arrived they seemed surprised we were early and began to tell us we did not have a car. They found a car for us but after they charged my credit card for the rental they again said there was no car available. We ultimately had to complain with the person's boss on the phone for them to find a car. They also have terrible information security. The person at the desk took 3 copies of my full credit card information which could easily be stolen. When asked his only excuse was that their computers were not working that day but could not explain how they would keep my information safe.

Cons: They cancelled my reservation within one day of my arrival. I was already in transit when I realized the reservation was cancelled. I tried to contact budget upon arrival, but got no answer.

Horrible ... again
Cons: I showed up and they "had no cars available" .... this is not the first time I have reserved a vehicle but there was not one when I showed up. I will never rent from Budget again! Their competitors now have all my business.

They try to rip you off all the time
Cons: The guy said the reservation didn't appear on screen and tried to charge 3 time the price for a new reservation. When I escalated to the supervisor the reservation appeared magically. He also lied about the insurance coverages.

Budget did not have the Car I reserved.
Cons: I reserved a Car in Class B, 4 Doors, 5 passengers and space for 2 large suitcases. They only could offer me a Kia Picanto or Hyundai i10. Since I’m travelling with 4 I had to cancel. switched to Avis.

Terrible pickup experience at El Dorado Airport in Bogota
Pros: The guy at the counter did call his boss and they both helped me get a car right away. He provided great customer service.
Cons: I did not like that the counter in Bogota had no clue I was going to pick up a car that day. The experience was awful.
