It was ok, they should change it up everyday.
Parking could be better.
The location and grounds were nice
Staff was rude, answering person for moonstone, cindy was rude. I felt like I was asking for a favor when I had to interact. Sorry to ask you to do your job. The room was old worn, and i was awake a 5 with the person above me walking continually acrossed the floor. Very loud and annoying. The grounds were nice. Breakfast again was not very fresh, and the staff seemed stressed and again like they're doing you a favor by doing their job. I dont recomend. Sad, i could have over looked the extremely old decor of staff were welcoming and pleasant but they were not. I was told rudely, they cant answer the phone when checking in or out. This is why you cant get a hold of anyone. I requested an early check in and again felt like I was asking for the world. And of course I was basically ignored and patronized.
The property has well maintained grounds, is spread out, and located close to the beach and downtown, but not in the middle of everything making it a relaxing place to stay.
The walls are incredibly thin and we could hear people talking & snoring in the room above us, could hear people walking up/down stairs, talking in the hallways, etc. All of which made it difficult to sleep. The beds were not as firm as we like and were not comfortable. Our room was large, but there were not many electrical outlets or seating. I thought there was supposed to be a fridge and microwave, but there is not. The breakfast was okay and consisted of eggs, sausage, potatoes, English muffin, etc.
Breakfast was complimentary, but the eggs and potatoes were dry.
The refrigerator was broken and all our food went bad. The balcony felt like it was going to fall and there was no AC.
Customer service was great! The pizza restaurant and gardens were great! The room was very outdated and over priced!
The Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, California is set in the idyllic setting of 25 acres of gardens and California pine forest. The lodge borrows much of its style from its surroundings, making sure guests get a full taste of both nature and convenience.

For exercise, there is a volleyball court. And if guests would like to venture further outside, there are nature trails that pave the way to a personal introduction to the flora and fauna this scenic area of California has to offer.
