Hotel Regio 2

This hotel is in the modern part of the Cadiz peninsula just two blocks away from the long, clean beach and 1 euro away by public transport from Old Cadiz. There is a Hipercor supermarket about eight blocks away in the other directionf from the beach on the inner harbour side. The hotel has off street parking under sheltered bays. It has a small breakfast service but this was quite new and we didn't try it. There is an excellent restaurant linked to their own bakery just across the road and the staff were very friendly and helpful and tolerant of my elementary Spanish. The staff in the hotel were helpful and the rooms were clean and the daily service left the rooms shining. I haven't read reviews about this hotel.

There didn't appear to be a porter and there were a few steps between reception and the lifts to the upper floors but I think I noticed a chair lift for elderly people. We managed to lift our cases on our own to the lift door. No wait for lifts at any time.

Excellent location for short, inexpensive bus ride into centre of Cadiz. Beautiful beach within 5 minutes walking distance. Friendly staff, comfortable room, absolutely no complaints.

The room and bathroom were very clean and relatively modern.

The front desk staff only spoke Spanish and were not overly helpful when I needed to make an overseas collect call.
