Overview

Tucked behind its old priory walls on Mildenhall Road, the Priory Hotel occupies a Grade II-listed building in a peaceful garden setting in Bury St. Edmunds, England. Privately owned and independently run, the hotel blends historic character with present-day comfort, offering complimentary parking, EV charging and free high-speed WiFi within its walled grounds. Lawns frame the Garden Restaurant, a bar and lounge sit alongside, and the grounds hold flexible meeting and banqueting rooms. The Abbey Gardens and the cathedral are minutes away on foot, and Moyses Hall and the market square sit at the centre. The A14 puts the wider Suffolk countryside within easy reach, with Lavenham and its timbered streets a short drive off and Newmarket's racing heath beyond. Walk into the Abbey Gardens through the great medieval gate first thing, when the ruins have the place to themselves. Book your stay at the Best Western Priory Hotel and let medieval Bury St. Edmunds unfold on foot.
