It does not make an impression from the outside, but it's different in the middle. The interior clearly from many decades ago. Modestly furnished rooms with high ceilings. Inside there is an open patio for sitting. The overall impression for a hostel compared to the price was really good. : )
A small kitchen, very poorly equipped.
Cheapest double room in Buenos Aires so definitely not expecting luxury: Beds were comfortable and the old colonial building was beautiful. Nice plants and roof garden area with so much potential to be a great. Great location
BE AWARE: The main guy that runs the hotel tried to charge us the commission that the hotel is due to pay to booking.com, Ive been backpacking for years and use booking.com a lot, this has never happened. (As a side note he smelt so badly I was almost gagging) When I said that it’s not our responsibility to pay it, he became aggressive and intimidating in his manner. I don’t like to be intimidated so refused to pay it until the next day, in that time I got hold of booking.com who speedily sorted it and got in touch with the property themselves. This did mean that the rest of our stay was awkward. The description said there was a kitchen which was one of the reasons we booked the property. There were two gas rings, great... but no pots or pans at all!! Luckily we had a camping mess kit with us but it was hard work to cook anything, as the lightbulb didn’t seem to give out much light and the space was tiny. Do not book here if you need kitchen access. There were people smoking in rooms which drifted out into the corridor. It’s advertised as having air con. No air con. Over all, I wouldn’t be so jaded if it hadn’t have been for the awful man running the place. I am a budget traveller, my expectations are low in order to save money... I can handle awkward kitchens, hot bedrooms and ants all over the bathroom sink but i will not be treated like an idiot and be taken for a ride. If you’re going to stay here just make sure you know the price in pesos and enforce it!
The staff on duty doesn't speak English. There are large holes and bread fragments on the sheet. Wifi only at the entry of the hotel. The kitchen is very dirty. I don't know the bathroom is shared by so many people. Disguisting. Avoid it!
I was not respected, the reservation has been cancelled by Booking according to the hotel owner.
I arrived to the hotel and I couldnt stay there.
Cheap accommodation near metro and ferry port.
No window in the room. Not very nice shared bathrooms. AC not included, costs as much as the room (but we got a fan for free). No English speaking staff.
