Hotel couldn't be more centrally located and the historic building has a human touch. All the staff I met were extremely helpful and attentive. There was a wide choice of good quality food for breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable.
My flight was delayed by an hour so i ended up getting to the hotel at about 1:30 am on a Friday morning. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and there was a bellboy on duty to assist with taking my bags to the room. My room was on the fifth floor facing on to the city centre. Great views to be had looking out the window which could be opened to take in a more panoramic view. I had reserved a double bed as a solo traveller but was disappointed upon entering the room to see that it was a twin bed. The problem was highlighted and rectified the following morning as they were able to push the beds together to make a double. The room was clean and had all modern amenities to satisfy the discerning traveller. There was a big bottle of complimentary still water which was a nice touch. The fridge was also full of non-complimentary snacks and drinks if you so desired. The tv channels offered a few local channels as well as some in English. The bed itself was a bit low to the ground but comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. There was a bit of ambient street noise that did filter through but not enough to stop a weary traveller from resting their eyes. I recommend booking your taxis directly with the hotel reception staff as they are with a reliable and trustworthy company. The hotel itself is located right next to the Old Town and so is a good base for exploring the city on foot. Overall it was a positive experience at Europa Royale Bucharest and I would definitely stay again when in Bucharest.
I liked the location on the lower end of old town where there are lots of restaurants and cafes. Also, it is easy to access from public transportation. The breakfast choices were sufficient and the lobby provided space to sit and spend some time.
The standard pillows are very dense. I should have asked for softer ones, but I decided to let it go. Also, there was a tricky room charge for water placed in the room. I didn't realize there would be a charge until I noticed the little card on the desktop. But, no big deal.
Great service and location. Nice breakfast and clean rooms. No complaints. Would recommend.
Hotel very nice, great staff, lively room, great shower, good location!
We were upgraded from inner atrium room to larger room 208, BUT it was on the front of the building facing the very busy Main Street with heavy traffic and many police sirens. The other corner of the room faced a very noisy, populated bar/coffee place that on Friday night was LOUD with bass disco music. Wife and I didn’t sleep at all and we were traveling the next day. Not good. Even seat plugs didn’t help.
