I liked the people working at the Hostal, super warm hearted and helpful, with a big smile you walked around the beautiful garden. The river flowing below and the birds singing around just made the place perfect. The terras room was amazing, specially during night time - stargazing from you sun bed. The room with the balcony let the nature come all the way in with the big windows from the room and bathroom, and the bungalow was just amazing, your own space with the net to relax on and laying in the bed looking out at the green garden Breakfast, many different choices
Some rooms can be a bit hot a few hours during night time, it depends on where in the building the room is. But there are good fans to help you out. I’m just not a Fan of the fan ✌️

We wanted to stay near the older part of Bogota and this hotel was about 6 blocks from the Cathedral. The hotel is located on a hillside so it was an easy walk to the old town but a climb to get back in the evening. We felt very safe as there are governmental building along the walk with armed soldiers (sometimes with dogs) on most street corners along the walk. Hotel Muisca was once a large hacienda-type home which has been tastefully enlarged with a Colonial flavor. Muisca was a name for a large Indian tribe which once lived in the area. Our room was accessible only by a circular iron stairwell. Getting luggage up and down was difficult. A good breakfast was served in an interior courtyard with plants and a fountain. Our bedroom was small but charming with exposed brick and a heavy beamed ceiling. Management was friendly and helpful. Caution: The hotel is not well-marked so taxis have trouble finding it. Have the address at hand.
No second cup of coffee for breakfast. The long steep walk up to the hotel. But a charming hotel, could feel the history of the place.

Very good complete breakfast served to you personally a nice change from buffet style. The day manager was very accommodating and gave us good information. The hotel itself has a lot a character. We would definitely recommend!
The property has a rigid 3:00 pm Check-in. We arrived three hours before then. The hotel was obviously not busy and I’m sure our room was ready. Guests sometimes spend many hours flying and go through quite a few time zones to visit this beautiful city, arriving very tired. The last thing you want to do is hang around in order to get into your room.
