It is a traditional Bern apartment located 10mins from the central station (by foot) and the British Council test centre. The reason I stayed here is because it was close to the IETLS test centre and you can walk it within 10mins. It’s ideal for the English test takers. The staff are very welcoming and they make u feel at home, especially Evelyn and the housekeeper lady. Also, the other reception lady who welcomed me (don’t know her name), was very kind and she allowed me to access my room before the check in time, which was hospitable and considerate because I wanted to rest and do some test reviews. The room was cozy and very comfortable and the toilets were spotless. The breakfast room is very trendy/ modern art, and the food was nice, especially their state of art coffee machine. Love that thing! I would recommend this hotel and I hope the guests will enjoy the wonders BERN has to offer!! Keep up the great service and hospitality!! PS: many thanks, Evelyn for letting me hangout a bit longer in the lobby sipping the delicious cappuccino!! Danke Danke.
Nothing to complain or critique. It would have been nice if the room had a central light on the roof to brighten the room because they only had a desk and sink lamp. The sink lamp was bright, but not enough to do some readings. If I was here on vacation; then, the light doesn’t even matter :)
This was my second time here. It’s a nice mix between a charming old building and modern amenities. Also it is rather close to the city center and easy to get to on the bus or tram. You can also walk across the bridge which is lovely. It is a quiet area as one street does not have thru traffic, only pedestrians. If you are saving money there’s a full kitchen downstairs to make your own food or keep leftovers. The free breakfast was very good!
A very nice and clean hotel. The staff are very kind. Good location, easy to go to the main street with bus.
It is very bare bones, and definitely a pension. But it is comfortable and clean. Given how expensive hotels are in Berne, it is a good value for the money. Also, it is very close to the train station.
very confortable bed
