We arrived quite early for this hotel and weren't expecting our room (apartment) to be ready, but it was (this was in December over Christmas). We had one of the self-catering apartments which was lovely, with a balcony looking over the courtyard, a sitting room, a very bedroom with four-poster bed, a spacious bathroom and kitchen including a fridge, oven hob, microwave, pots and pans and crockery, basic cooking utensils, sink kettle and coffee machine with coffee pods (we brought our own coffee not expecting this). Free tea and coffee is available at reception along with an honesty box for other drinks and snacks. Also at reception are very, very lovely staff, all really welcoming and friendly and the feline owners of the hotel who patrol the courtyard during breakfast and spend the rest of the day curled up on their cat station. The hotel was just ten minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof - it's very easy to reach, you just walk over the square, turn right and walk up Invalidenstrasse until you get there, or you can take a single tram for one or two stops. We were able to walk to most of the Christmas Markets from there, past the Museum Island to Alexanderplatz and beyond. The hotel was also easy to find from the Naturkundemuseum Metro stop as we discovered on Christmas Eve when the tour buses stopped leaving us stranded near Zoo Station!! The hotel was convenient, the staff were great, the rooms were spacious and pleasant, our stay was quiet and breakfast was delicious with so much to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay here and this would be our first choice of hotel if we return to Berlin.
The hotel, staff, the room. A really nice unique and luxurious feeling place,
Pillows weren't that great. Had a kitchen but no option to use it. Location was fine, but it was a good 20mins from the centre and the choice of places to eat, so lots of walking, but all minor points really.
Hotel was gorgeous and thoughtfully decorated. Warm and helpful reception, room with all amenities required. Only pity was that we were only staying for a day. Had we known it would be such a lovely, comfortable and clean room, we would have extended our stay!
Every thing The hotel is brilliant
The Garden Living - Boutique Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. For those who require internet access, the property features Wi-Fi in designated areas. With Berlin Central Station just 1km away and Tegel Airport only 9km away, transportation is very convenient.
